has anyone else realised/noticed that theres lyrics in Taking Chances that sample the Eurythmics Here Comes The Rain? - sorry just found it quite interesting ah

 

What do you mean? I'm confused. They use the same lyrics ? Don't really know eurythmics although I do think Annie Lennox is brilliant!

It would seem that Kara lifted part of the lyrics from the Eurythmics track for her track Taking Chances - so Kara uses their lyrics. If you like lennox then id highly recommend checking out some of their music - its brilliant.

Isn't taking chances written by kara and dave stewert from the eurythmics?

So that could be why the lyrics are used.

There is this vid on YouTube of both of them performing it.

I used to think that the English translation of the Italian lyrics of The Prayer for Jessica Sanchez's 2012 performance was done by the people from 'American Idol', but after seeing Yolanda Adams' version (which was done years before Jessica's performance), and having noticed that the lyrics were exactly the same, it could be possible that Andrea and Celine had recorded those lines in 1998... :hmm:

Yeah, you're 100% per cent right, Annie's lyrics always blow me away, she's so fantastic. A unique artist that happens to us like once in a lifetime. And I'm glad Celine has so much respect for her, guess it's mutual :)

If compare Madonna's creatibity to Annie's, Madonna's like a junior and Annie Lennox plays in the high league :) Annie has always been creating something really spectacular, close to masterpiece. Madonna has plenty of good songs i guess but mother of God, this woman should really get herself a pair of pants :hmm: :giggle: And alas it's impossible to buy some soul to your music :mellow: :down:

Celine also admited her love to Annie lennox back in the 90's when there was some interview about Celine's fav albums. Annie's 'Divas' was one of 'em :)

 

And I'm not sure they met when they were doing all the 'Sing' stuff but I remember there was a message in 2008 Celine recorded for Annie to admit how important the 'Sing' campaign is and that Annie does a great job and so on... :) Celine was wearing that lavender dress form the american leg of her TC World Tour.

Annie Lennox is incredible! I'd put her as one of my favorite favorite female artists any day...one of the true artists (not to mention her astounding vocals).

 

I think Celine's part in the song "Sing" is 3:32 - 3:41...

 

"sing my sisters, hoo oooh, my sisters cmon sisters"

 

 

 

anyone know where else? it's hard to determine with so many voices

Those Fiat cars recently have all been coming out with Beats by Dr. Dre audio systems installed in them and me and my friend both said we'd want that car simply to play Celine. I have Beats headphones and she sounds amazing in them, hearing her live stuff especially. Its like being there!

My first thought wnen i tried my new Si was for the sound system, it is better than in my former 2008 si, i was happy. It could be much better still...

Yes exactly! My favorite thing to do when I am in an off mood is to just go sit in my room and put listen to Celine sing using my Beats Headphones, close my eyes and its like being there at a concert
