Don't get me started. I went to see Madonna last year and there was this drunken man swinging his arms all over the place and spilling his pint all over the people next to him. He really dampened the mood if you know what I mean.

That was funny..."dampened" because he was spilling beer :laugh:

Great Celine show tonight, despite the major technical difficulties meaning hologram segment was removed last minute, stage parts and curtains moving at the wrong time. Plus, never sitting in 2nd mezz again- Celine was too far away, the sound is poor and it turned into a drunked rowdy party....this was from a fan that went last night show,

I guess it was about the karaoke-singing machine, the insane number of covers in the show, the lack of Celine songs, the lipsynch discussion or something similar! Finally the fans attending her shows are starting to make some noise :giggle:

No offense, but you've never seen the show before, my friend. You shouldn't judge it until you do.

 

Ironic mode was on, it was just a joke. If I had the chance to have Céline in front of my nose believe me I would use that time to tell her other things rather than complaints :bye1:

I love her accent. It makes almost everything she says even cuter! Especially when she is passionate about something. Then she forgets her "best" English and puts words in the wrong places, but you always understand what she means. I love her! :)

I heard TTWII today on 106.7, New York City's biggest adult contemporary station. It's the 3rd time I've heard it in the last couple of weeks (and I don't listen that much) -- they must have put it on their playlist! (I always get excited when I hear Celine on the radio!)

These are things francophone people have trouble with when speaking english.

When it starts to bug me i just remind myself that Celine's english is wayyyyy better than my french will ever be!!

Sorry but for me in French it makes no sense. " Pour chaque rêve " I don't notice when she bugs in English but she does in French too. In Quand on a que l'amour when she sings " pauvres et malandrins" she should pronounce the S after pauvres. She never does. And it's not a matter of melody, other singers never made that mistake.

it depends on how you choose to translate. And yes , Celine makes mistakes even in french..But i find her to have a very good pronunciation in french.Except for the R , too much emphasis sometimes.

I love hearing her on the radio :-) rarely hear her played in Ireland , but when I was in Canada I heard her so much and litrally screamed at my friend to turn up the radio in the car everytime she came on! Lol

Best memory was hearing TTWII while driving to Montreal!

Yes that was different! "To this day, they still smooch, sometimes unabashedly in public with a peck on the cheek or a full-on lip lock" I've seen many, many pecks on the cheek in public but not the latter.......... Just thought that was funny. So she says they were having communication problems well I'm glad they worked that out!

I loved the interview, too! (Even though they got engaged in 1993, not 1991, as Robin Leach said, and Celine was 25, not 23 (Rene proposed on her 25th birthday).

 

And I think the best girlfriend is Robin, her friend from Florida -- I believe I've read elsewhere that when they first moved to Vegas, and Celine was upset by how much time Rene was spending gambling, she talked to Robin about it, and Robin gave her the advice about communication.
