Okay, I have admittedly just had the greatest idea ever. In the Vegas show, Celine should put on the setlist......"First Time Ever I Saw Your Face"!!!!!!!

It would be incredible with the orchestra. AHHHHHH~

If you recall she did perform this song briefly in the AND show

HELP!

Stupid question:

is there a version of Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi" that mentions "Captain Kirk"?

I have a clear recollection of hearing her sing "captain kirk". I played this song to my bf, who is a huge star trek fan, and it wasn't there!! Am I imagining things or mixing the lyrics with another song?

Celine - Captain Kirk - there must be a connection!! :D

An answer to my stupid question...

A quatre pas d'ici + misheard lyrics = Captain Kirk.

So never mind :shy:

I'm just gonna lie to my bf that she sings captain kirk :giggle: It's gonna make him love Celine :w00t:

Awwwww

:P Don't worry, we all make mistakes with lyrics. For me, on a B-52's song, "Heeeeeenry! Rasta!!!!" was "Tiiiiiiiiin Roof, Rusted!!!" :lmao:

Yes! Imagine I started being a fan when you were born, Kev. And probably you know more about her than I do!!! That's what I always tell Carlos, and I find it exciting that young fans that came after us the older ones know more and more stuff now than we got to know before, especially because of the internet.

And it is fascinating as you say! No matter how much you think you know about her, there's always new stuff, and that's amazing. A never-ending Celine learning experience, for sure! :)

i'm sure that some fans knows more about Celine that she does... As she says, she do things, and have very little time to reflect and analyse.

Yes, I was thinking the other day that, as a collector, it's funny how I'm interested in getting things that maybe she doesn't even know they exist. I bet she's sometimes signing autographs, sees something and goes like "Whoa! I didn't know they produced X single!"

She once said she sometimes has to read the liner notes to see who played what instrument on her songs .. . and I think I've sometimes heard her mix up dates . what year something was, how long ago it was, how old she was when something occurred -- that's something we all do, but I imagine it's especially so for Celine, whose schedule is so packed, and who wasn't the one planning things, but just doing them one after the other.

In an interview with Stylist magazine, Jennifer Lopez credits Celine as being one of the women who have dominated the music market in the past 20 years.

''Women have taken over the music industry - when you think of all the female artists who are out.

''Even going back 20 years, back to Cher, Gloria Estefan and that whole time with Mariah Carey and Celine Dion and then the next wave which was me and then Britney [spears] and Beyonce to what's continued to now the Rihanna and Lady GaGa."

OMG

I sent a letter to Billboard a couple of weeks ago, and it has been published on this week's Ask Billboard column! :w00t: There is a Celine mention at the end. :P

Congrats - so exciting! But how does one develop a personal chart? Is it based on the number of times you play a song yourself during the week?

I just bought the CD Génération Goldman and I just imported it into my computer to find a surprise track : Let's talk about love. They did a mix of the original french version, Puisque tu pars, and the english version that Céline sung. It's really good.

I was just watching the making of D'elles and I have a question. Were they trying to make it look like a home video? Or an old film video?
I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

Thank you. Yes, it was exciting, and it is a matter of personal taste, with the songs I like the most every week. And compiling my personal chart is exciting and a ritual that no one can't make me stop doing. I started handwriting it. Then, in 1991 I photocopied a Billboard Hot 100, put liquid paper to erase all the songs and numbers, made copies of that and wrote my chart on it. Of course, that happened until I got a nice word processor. Here is a sample with Celine in the Top 10. :P

Christian Metal Rock band Righteous Vendetta credits Celine for giving them inspiration for a key change on their latest EP:

"First off, Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" is the straight up jam. If anyone tries to deny that the key change in that song gave them goose bumps all the way down to their butt cheeks, they'd be lying. So we decided that there HAD to be a key change on this EP. It wasn't flowing naturally and we didn't want to force it, so as our studio time neared, it began to look like it wasn't going to happen. But then after some last minute tweaks, the light bulb turned on and the ending segment to this song turned into the key change that ended up on the final...and yes, all because of Celine Dion. No shame."

"A New Day..." or also know as "The Kingdom of Covers" :whistling: I can count up to 20 covers in that list, and all of the non-album tracks that were chosen were... covers again.

The album that had the most number of original songs performed was ANDHC. That's the only album which brought some freshness and originality to that show. Many will say that Celine changed the way shows are made in Las Vegas, but watching that setlist of songs, I can only say... what a wasted chance! To have almost 5 years of performances, and both multi-million albums (like TCOML, LTAL, ATW) as well as the newer ones (TC and OH) had only 1 song performed out of them. What a waste of talent and time, to say the least.

But ssssshhhhhhhh!! Don't complain. Be thankful you have like 700 versions of each one of these songs to chose from, playback or not, from the show bootlegs and her DVDs :giggle:

Are you even a Celine Dion fan. All you ever do is *CENSORED* and moan. Seriously. Just stop listening to her/going to her shows. Celine clearly disappoints you on every level.

Yes, their wedding song was The Colour of My Love. It was sung at their wedding by Warren Wiebe, with an orchestra directed by David Foster. In this lovely video, Celine refers to it as her wedding song:

Have you guys listened to Anne-Marie Angélil sing? I received Marc Dupré's album "Revenir À Toi" and there's a duet called "Nos Voix", and I think it's pretty good!

In the 30th birthday song that Celine's family and friends made for her, I think Anne-Marie is one of the best singers (though Rene is actually pretty good himself, especially in his super-sweet part at the end!) I love this video!

I've loved this since TTEOTW came out. Really want this on cd - but i don't download etc

Wish it had been included on the cd. Wanted there to be a bigger bonus cd (walmart cd, i think. The 5 track release), that had the songs that weren't on any on the concert discs etc. But NOOOOOOOOOO, of course not. Such a shame, especially when you hear the reaction of the audience.

Does anybody know if there are any major differences between the English/French versions of A New Day... and Through The Eyes Of The World DVDs? (i.e., is it worth buying both?) x0x0
