But it was never deemed a true "Bond song" because it was just in the credits because it wasn't the film's theme song Edited June 7, 2013 at 02:36 AM by c4n4d4 1 http://24.media.tumblr.com/5fc8ed1dcd8690c2a8e2cad08629e4ba/tumblr_mrwbegFInv1rothmmo1_500.jpgJanuary 5, 2013 -- Las Vegas August 18, 2013 -- Las Vegas
LuisMa Posted June 7, 2013 at 12:13 PM Posted June 7, 2013 at 12:13 PM (edited) I was thinking this morning about the goosebumps I got in the nineties when I discovered something new from Celine. 1992 I was in Santa Ana, a town outside San Jose, Costa Rica. I looked at the window of a small store and saw Incognito. I couldn't believe it... so Celine also sang in French??? was my first thought, and of course I had to buy it immediately and played it a lot. 1994 I won a trip to Paris... I was in the kitchen preparing my dinner and I had MTV on. They said, now we debut the new video from Celine Dion, "Think Twice". I was and the next day I looked for the single everywhere, but never found it. As I went back to CR, I stopped at Miami for a few hours, went to a small commercial centre near the airport. I was browsing at a small Latin CD store, and there I found the CD single. I was amazed. 1995 my sister shouts: a new mysterious video from Celine is on TV!!! I almost broke my legs going down the stairs, and it was PQTME, the first French video I got to see of hers. 1996 I'm eating lunch preparing to watch Melrose Place and the ad for Up Close & Personal with a huge part of the BYLM video shows. My fork dropped. 1997 Grammys: Album of the Year. My heart is pounding... she wins... my mom and sister scream with me She won! She won!... priceless. 1999 I read that TTWII is the next single. I call the main AC station to request that song at least every hour and I fake different voices. I think I had a callus on my finger at the end of the week. Then I get the taped song in not a great quality, but it was played a million times, it had become my favorite single, and to date it still is... There are so many Celine moments in my life, that I would spend the whole day typing about them. I hope new moments like this will soon come! Edited June 7, 2013 at 12:17 PM by LuisMa 3

chocolatechip15 Posted June 7, 2013 at 10:16 PM Posted June 7, 2013 at 10:16 PM I call the main AC station to request that song at least every hour and I fake different voices. Haha, that is too funny! It reminds me of the time in 1998 when I listened to a radio station for 16 hours straight because you could win Celine tickets if you were the 10th caller when one of her songs came on. I managed to be the 1st caller for "Tell Him" and the 8th for "When I Fall in Love," but I was never the 10th. (But my awesome mom got me tix for the concert!). Then, a year later, I actually did win tix from a different station -- by correctly identifying the song MHWGO (Kind of funny, since practically the entire world could identify that song!). But I won tix to see the taping of the All the Way special in Radio City -- it was awesome. Somewhere I still have the tape of me on the radio, shrieking with excitement when they said i'd won the tix. 1
LuisMa Posted June 7, 2013 at 10:27 PM Posted June 7, 2013 at 10:27 PM OMG lucky you! I remember in 96 there was a special program on this TV station and they had a raffle of 5 Costa Rican-produced BYLM singles, and I desperately wanted them... I called like a million times and my call never got through. I was so disappointed, and never in my life I did see any of those one-of-a-kind singles. Probably it was a scam to earn money from the callers. 1

The Taking Chances album, despite only peaking at number 12, still managed to become a platinum selling album.

Yangedd Posted June 8, 2013 at 02:26 PM Posted June 8, 2013 at 02:26 PM Let me try and remember. I know that "Think Twice" was huge here in Ireland because that's when I first discovered Celine (Recorded the song from radio onto a tape and wore it out from rewinding and playing it). The Power Of Love and Only One Road were also huge here. I remember they got quite a lot of air play on the radio here. I also know that All by Myself and It's All Coming Back were also very popular here. Regarding "Let's Talk About Love", we even had the TV promo playing every day announcing the album. If I remember correctly it showed clips of Tell Him and The Reason. Let's Talk About Love (The album) was huge here thanks to the TV spots, It reached number one within days. When A New Day was released we also received TV promos for the album and I remember HMV and Golden Discs having a huge poster in their stores. I bought the album the day it came out (Chardonnay bought also as my tradition) and I know that it sold out within hours because I convinced my best friend Frances to buy a copy and when we went back to HMV all the copies were sold out and we were just lucky enough to get a copy in Golden Discs. http://thelavalizard.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/celine-dion-quebec-thelavalizard.pngYou Loved Me Back To Life, Life!
