As for me, it seems that whoever wrote this can be young (then recognizes Céline because his/her parents listened to her) or older (he/she listened to her as was younger), and then he/she did not follow her and currently thinks about her as a "singer from the last century/millennium", who should already be retired.

 

Now he/she heard Céline in the cinema and recognized her voice, what in his/her opinion, after so many years, could not be possible, so he/she quickly found an explanation: "It must be an autotune".

 

Funny... cuz form all the autotune she uses (mostly live), this song isn't that obvious

And of all people/songs in this movie... interesting he falls over Celine's auto tune. Since half the cast are not real singers and there is such an overload on auto tune. With Emma Watson as a winner.

(I'm not criticizing them btw. Understandable they're using it. But it's a little disturbing listening to the soundtrack)

please tell me I am deaf.. because i don't hear any autotune and i want to convince him he is sooo wrong.

I think autotune will be used in every recording but here.. if it has been used.. it is soooo subtle. I can't understand his reaction..

i don't think there is so much autotune there, but i'm not a specialist. Most bad comments about Celine come from Mariah's fan.
Plus qu'ailleurs , but now Si c'était à refaire , i still love tant de temps....

Autotune was used a lot in this song. The variations are un-humanly smooth. I can hear the lack of control in her voice that was polished through autotune. She uses shortcuts in reaching notes or even her enunciation that would not sound as controlled if there was no autotune.

And that's exactly why some of you are afraid that she won't be able to perform it correctly live, because you can feel it even through autotune.

 

That being said, I don't mind much about it. It's great to hear her voice like that again. Can't wait to hear her sing it live, let's hope without live autotune.

They should just do again the "blending with the music" era again for her vocals because her tone has changed it doesn't suit the "raw/direct" sounding today. Unfinished Songs and Encore Un Soir is the perfect example for recent recordings that blends with the music and it has something to do with the producer, i think?

They filmed one? Oh that's right I thought she was just walking down the street, and a camera just happened to be filming her for no reason :giggle:

i don't know if it was for the taping for music video or just for promotion. But they use effects in that video..

How Does a Moment Last Forever has really been hitting the spot for me lately!

 

It truly does encompass so many of Celine's "sounds". It's got old school, classic Celine along with some of her more recent vocal styles.

 

And I love how this moment has aligned so well for her at this time in her life. The general public really needed a special, new song like this from Celine Dion (a Disney song! A movie song! Celine is the QUEEN of movie songs!) -- and we got it! So great for her career. Yay!

Spanish TV showed a 15-min documentary about the making-of the film yesterday. The broadcast included behind the scenes footage of the filming process of the movie and of the studio sessions for certain songs from the soundtrack. Unfortunately, no images of Celine recording How Does A Moment Last Forever were shown, which leads me to believe that the recording session was never filmed... :cry:

Don't forget that they particularly ignore Céline in Spain. I wouldn't be surprised if they paid little to no attention to Céline's part and when it showed up they just deleted it :whistling: :devilwave:

The version of Days In The Sun in this new promo vidis different from the one in the album...

 

I wonder how many unreleased versions (or trailer-only versions) they are keeping from us. There's now 2: this one and the trailer version of BATB with Ariana/John...

 

PS: the trailer version of BATB even has a kid humming in it (probably Chip)...
