"How Does a Moment Last Forever" (Beauty and the Beast O.S.T.) - Official Topic

I did listen to the question very well, and I repeat again what I said in a previous post:

1) They guy couldn't even finish the question because he was just cut off by Celine.

2) CELINE presented Adele with a Grammy a few weeks ago.

3) Celine has been fangirling about ADELE for years now.

So it was clearly and completely related with Céline in my opinion. And I'd say more, it's even rather normal they ask her about Adele, when she's been singing her songs and rumbling about her for years since 2011. So if Celine personally gave the award to Adele, why on Earth wouldn't someone ask her about anything about it? Who else than her who's been praising Adele for years and finally got to meet and even give her a Grammy, to give an opinion?

Céline did not only stop him, he cut him off before he could even finish his question. And that was so uncalled for, when the guy was also being as polite as her. He was doing his job and by no means was being rude. Wasn't the place? Maybe. Controversial? You are saying that. As if it was the first time she's asked a controversial question, and she never cuts off but gives the answer she wants or just beats around the bush :)

So first let people talk, and then it's okay to judge and draw conclusions if something is controversial/rude/polemic or whatever. But the truth is we don't know that in this case... because we never got a question :)

Btw, apparently I'm not the only one who is surprised about this "attitude" of Céline, when on ET Canada say she just shut down the reporter as she'd only talk about BATB. So she can talk about BATB in the Grammys red carpet, but not viceversa... How coherent.

It's funny you say I'm creating drama, but apparently the drama was already created exclusively by Céline when she's making the news for this :giggle:

https://www.facebook...xt=0&width=560"

That reporter was not asking about the award Celine presented to Adele. He was asking about the Album of the Year award which Adele won and Beyoncé didn't. The words came right out of his mouth. He was baiting her. Celine wasn't rude, and she even apologized to the reporter if he felt she was coming off that way. She could have been rude and told him what an inappropriate question he was about to ask her. But instead, she implored him to focus on the magic moment he was lucky to be a part of at that time. Rather than hash up Grammy controversy that has nothing to do with her. Celine is not one and has never been one to voice her opinion on controversial issues. Most times when she's asked, she brushes it off with a "to each their own" kind of answer. The media is obsessed with pitting women against each other. Celine saw right through it, and put a stop to it. It was irrelevant for her to make a statement about.

You like to elaborate right? Are you sure you aren't anticipating a DRAMA (ironic mode on :P ) that was nonexistent, because we will never know what the question was going to be, and Céline's answer to it? :flowers:

Please just judge what we saw in the video, and not further events that we have absolutely no idea that were going to happen or not. Why are you conjecturing all that? Because that's only your own conjectures about was was going to happen and what not. If every celebrity out there had to stop and cut off every awkward/impertinent question he/she is asked, we'd ran out of half the journalists in the world, not only with singers, but with all politicians at the mercy of interviews and their explanations about their public management :)

Thing is Céline cut off a reporter, and that was uncalled for since there wasn't any bad in the answer. And *IF* it was, just let the guy finish the question and then you can stop the interview and move on :)

But let's suppose the reporter was going to ask the question you are so sure about, about that supposed hijack of the trophy (story of which I have no idea about, nor that I care, really). What's wrong if he asked Céline's opinion about that? In the most respectful way (as he appeared to act)? Is that forbidden? Just because she's Céline Dion and she can't be asked any kind of sensitive questions? Sorry but in that case, you are treating Céline as some kind of touchy, oversensitive celebrity, and I'm sure you don't like to see her that way. Then please let's us not treat her like an "untouchable" celebrity who can't be asked any kind of questions about any controversial topic as if she was a porcelain doll or a puppet. The contrary has a name, and it's called censorship, and I'm sure she has never censored any questions prior to her interviews. Let's not be fussy and picky here now, especially when you are drawing conclusions that never happened! :)

Enough words poured out of his mouth to know exactly what he was asking about. It was very specific. In the same vein of it being okay to ask Celine the question, it's perfectly fine for her to not want to answer it. She's never been one to get caught up in celebrity drama. That's what the question was about. And if you have no idea about the controversy surrounding Adele and Beyoncé, which is a fact, and which was exactly what the reporter was going to ask her about, you're basing your replies on something you don't even know about. So, all of this was just a huge waste of time because nothing you had to say was based on the full list of facts.

We should also consider this was the ONE AND ONLY question he had for Celine. So nothing related to BATB, her presence in the film premiere, or her new song.

I could take a question about the Grammy Awards in the context of a full interview, but not when only one question would be asked.

Not to mention that it would be totally reaching to say that the question was in any way related to Celine, just because she presented an award to Adele. The question was specifically about Adele and Beyoncé. A part of the Grammy Awards that Celine had absolutely nothing to do with.

Have not watched yet. Maybe this weekend! I think I am going to enjoy it. Especially if the acting of Emma Watchon is not as wooden as I expect it to be.

Not to mention Celine has had a controversy-free career, so why would anyone attenpt to involve her in celebrity debates? Which are mostly perpetuated by the media anyway.

Celine has been clean. And I admire the fact she wants to stay this way and distance herself from controversies, even when these controversies involve others.

Well, come on guys. She was a b*tch to that reporter... And I actually looooooved it.

But, in a sense, this comes to her interrupting everyone with songs, keeping talking about her life, her problems whatever the question is. She's become a real diva. It's all and it should be all about her. I hope she stops going in that direction though and that someone tells her that it could hurt her career at some point.

Guys, there's no point in covincing someone whose mind is already closed to what he chooses to believe in and refuses to agree no matter what explaining we do. Let him be. We're just wasting our time. Let's just get back to celebrating the song :-)

Anyway heres a new video from the premiere. Roses for everybody! Cheers!

We saw the film yesterday in 3D. A breathtaking scene in the ballroom at the beginning, beautyful costumes, a wonderful cast, especially Emma, and one of the best end title I've ever seen:-)

Oscars: 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'Get Out' Meet the Voters

Disney also isn't interested in commenting on its film's Oscar prospects at this early date, but you can bet that it will reinvest some of Disney's massive returns into a campaign later in the year, just as it did last season with the April blockbuster The Jungle Book. As with Jungle Book, best picture may, in the end, be a bridge too far for Beauty and the Beast, but Beast might resonate more than Jungle Book overall, as noms for best costume design, production design, sound editing, sound mixing and visual effects all seem well within the realm of possibility. Even likelier, perhaps, are noms for one or two of the film's three original songs — "How Does a Moment Last Forever," "Days in the Sun" and the strongest, "Evermore" — which were written by Alan Menken (who garnered three original song noms and one original score nom for the 1991 version, winning in both categories) and Tim Rice (with whom Menken shares another Oscar for an original song, from 1992's Aladdin).

this is how it should have been! And the thing is, when John Legend and Ariana would have gotten this backgroundmusic and Ariana would have sung in a less is more style, they could have been just as great.

Yes because Evermore is in the movie and is fantastic when the beast sings it. Well maybe she'll get to perform HDAMLF at the Oscars.

I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

Evermore is really good too but I wouldn't bet on it yet, the Oscars are a TV show, they also want ratings and having Celine performing is much more appealing, but I guess at the end it will all depend on what Disney wants to push, Oscars nominations are nothing else than campaigning, the studios decide what they want to promote and for what category. But despite Josh promoting the song, HDAMLF has more views, so at lest for the public Celine is the winner :)

I just hope Disney submits both HDAMLF and Evermore next year, and not just Evermore. A few years ago, Frozen, on purpose, decided to submit just one song, the strongest among all the songs, Let It Go, as a strategy to increase the chances of their song winning. They feared that having more than one nominated song from their film might split the votes.

But then again, this year's La La Land had 2 nominated songs but still the film won.

I understand what you mean and for sure he did not want to be rude.

But I noticed it many times throughout the last years that Celine is often used as a blast from the past icon.

Just ask the old lady about some current superstars... and yeah, sometimes that's rude.

I've you're not interested in her then don't ask her anything.

If you ask her a few questions about herself, her career or about what she's there for and one of the other questions is about Beyonce and/or Adele... I don't think she would've responded that way. But making that much fuss about her stopping especially for you for only 1 question... and then coming up with something that's been done, weeks old, nothing to do with her and nothing to do with Beauty and the Beast... then it's understandable she was not so amused.

Btw... I love her so much when she does this :P

But seriously can we now get over this and move on ??

I don't think Celine was rude, but I would have if it was me, you have in front of you the biggest selling female artist of all times and you ask about Adele and Beyonce? Mariah would have spit on the guy's face haha

Some people here were demanding more diva attitude from Celine, well here you go :-D
