I just think "Le Vol D'un Ange" needs to replace the Jazz medley in her Vegas show. Edited by Nmj

I just think "Le Vol D'un Ange" needs to replace the Jazz medley in her Vegas show.

 

I was thinking "Tous les blues..." should be the French number in Vegas. It has the drama and intensity Vegas patrons typically look for in a Vegas show.

Just hearing Je T'Aime Encore now . . PERFECTION!! The emotion, the way she plays with it . . . I loved that song to begin with, and now . . sooo amazing!!

 

I cannot WAIT for Montreal!! :clap:

She such a geniune person, she said it in 2003 promoting 1 Fille et 4 Types, that she'd love having an acoustic Live tour with a band...She is kinda doing it

 

Plus she always says that she sings tunes she likes, here is a proof again...She cherishes the songs and sings them at the appropriate moment

 

Tous les blues sont écrits pour toi/ Valse Adieu...Merci Merci!

The crowd's reaction to Ziggy is awesome . . it was clear no one had any idea that was coming . . she says the word "Ziggy," and the whole crowd shouts, "Oh" at the same time in a collective gasp - excited and shocked at the same time . . .and then 5 words later, they all start singing along.

The crowd's reaction to Ziggy is awesome . . it was clear no one had any idea that was coming . . she says the word "Ziggy," and the whole crowd shouts, "Oh" at the same time in a collective gasp - excited and shocked at the same time . . .and then 5 words later, they all start singing along.

Ziggy can't be more sweet.... even better than 2013.

So, I just had a realization. If we wanna get technical, nothing brand new to the stage was performed tonight. Everything had been done on stage in some fashion in the past. I had thought this was the very first time she had performed "Tous les blues..." ever, but it turns out she lipped it for a performance on "Hit Machine" years ago:

Oh wow, what a setlist!

With everything else on there, I can even forgive the LCMM/RDMH combo.

 

Love the arrangements.

 

She was definitely an artist tonight, not just an entertainer (or worse yet, fashion model!)

 

Maybe they cut costumes for the whole orchestra's airfares :)

And I'm all for it! I'll take an orchestra and a few extra songs over a fashion show, thank you very much. :-D

 

I really think it's good to discover new songs. But the show is lacking something. The first half looks pretty good. And then... The general public don't care about Les Blues, Je Crois Toi, Le Vol D'un Ange or Adieu. There's no way this show will remain the same for the Montreal and Quebec shows... About 90 000 tickets sold in Quebec for a population of 800 000? That's not only core fans... And her last show in Montreal was more than 8 years ago. The show needs these 2 hits: Je Sais Pas and On Ne Change Pas. People love to sing along. I'm sure the general public doesn't know half of the songs in the playlist. 2013 was better. I'm looking forward for changes hopefully for the Quebec shows.

Oh I so hope you're wrong on that front.

 

Oh, and the BFMTV interview was really great! Kinda got lost in all the excitement about the show, but I think this was the best interview of the recent ones, frankly.

Opening with 3:20... never expected that, and what a brave choice. And Ordinare, Tous les blues...wow. :wub:

 

Now, if she could only axe LCMM/ RDMH for Moi quand je pleure, I'd be perfectly content.

If tonight is any indication of anything. I am no longer worried about her voice. I am certain it will be back to 100% soon enough though I have to say she's already pretty dang close. It's only normal for her voice to have been in the condition it was in since late last year. I can't imagine the stress it went through. Now her knowing Rene is free and no longer suffering and her to slowly moving on and becoming fully focused again you can see what a difference it has made in only a few months. p.s. you have to understand I post alot of the Vegas videos but I do not normally watch them night after night so I don't notice the improvement as much. Now sitting and watching everything in full for once now I'm seeing it in comparison to videos from January/February. Edited by Kristinaz

I still can't believe she opened with Trois heures vingt...talk about breaking the ice! Wow.

Couldn't think of a more powerful opening than that, followed by Encore un soir.

She's one tough cookie.

She brought back so many memories tonight where she do not just give the us the typical setlist but to surprise us with all those songs that long be forgotten, songs that make us anticipate so much when its first released, songs that we wrote so many reviews on it ...........songs that we dont even recall we once playing non-stop day and night and the songs out............

 

I used to play "Tous les secrets" and "Le vol d'un ange" repeatedly when they first got released. I still listen to them often.

She's been singing 35 years for the general public... it's our time now.

 

Just think she needs to sing whatever she wants, its a lifetime career. maybe 4 classics and the rest is up to her. so happy mego is far away from this setlist
