I still can't get over the fact she decided to perform TLBSEPT, LVDA, and all the songs in the acoustic medley. This is the first time she's been on tour and included songs from past albums that she has never sung live before right? I don't remember another time.

I think the problem with the acoustic medley is that the songs don't transition into each other like the three songs in Vegas. Hopefully, they can build some sort of connection between the songs.

Seriously. Who cares about wardrobe changes when she has given the BEST concert in years? In a DECADE I would say, even before 2003.

 

Has anyone stopped to think that maybe they had a problem with her suitcases or whatever? It's the first show, it's not that grave This detail just showed how down to Earth she is, and that she is first and foremost a singer. She's there to sing to us, not to show us the latest Armani creation.

It was a change to me and a good one, I mean think about it in Vegas it's dress, after dress, six inch heels, quick change back to back. She just simply sang this time it wasn't Vegas it wasn't TC which was just trying to take Vegas on the road. It was just Celine I just wish we could have gotten a English show or two cause the way this French set list was I think the English one would have been amazing. But again I'm not complaining this is a breath of fresh air and I think big changes may be coming to Vegas the next go around.

Must have been weird after having a certain expected format to her concerts for years

I can't believe Annie's tweet!

I've never liked her and her job, no matter what all those fashion junkies say.

It's so bitc** from her. Just like she was saying " guys , don't blame it on me if what she wore was awful".

 

She didn't have to intervene because :

1. Beside some folks here, nobody gives a s*** if she worked with Céline or not

2. We all noticed it was not her choice : it was not a leather jacket or some kind of glittery old dress.

 

While I don't like that much her outfit of yesterday, at least nobody got paid for a job which would have been horrible anyway.

I was ready to blame Annie Horth, but apperently she was quick to tweet that she didn't dress Celine for this concert. Even Annie Horth knows it's ugly and she tweeted so quickly to clarify that she had nothing to do with that.

 

I'm not a big fan of Annie Horth but she would've done a better job.

I agree up to the point. The magic is still there cause it's TLS and it's magical in general but it lacks this big finale it has originally, a high note wouldn't make the medley too long!!!

I like it too! And I don't understand the complains here.

1) less costume changes, more songs

2) the outfit is perfect, very appropriate, it's black cause she is still mourning but there is white which gives hope and shows she is still alive. I don't think that some of you have realised that there might be this meaning behind it

There were a couple of chats, especially the one after EUS was pretty long. And there was one before the acoustic medley (to fill up the stage movements I guess). But yes, overall it felt rushed. Especially the start of PQTME that came almost right after Je t'aime encore. And the pause between TSMGO and MHWGO was way too short to shout at least one good round of "We want more"...

 

But we'll see tonight and next week.. Isn't that always the case with a new tour/new setlist? That things need to fall in place with an audience, songs have to grow more for her and the band, in stead of just rehearsing?

i don't think it is about meaning here. Some love it , some find it ugly and others don't care. The symbolism doesen't change the taste. But there is worst things in life.
