Just left, awesome concert. Full orchestra was epic, setlist was surprising. Highlights for me were EUS, Je crois toi, Terre (great new arrangement, chapeau Scott Price) and above all the acoustic segment with Tous les secrets and loads from 1F4T.

 

Filmed a bunch and recorded the whole thing. Hope it turns out great. Will upload when I get home.

Planning a tour doesn't necessarily mean he had anything to do with the creative aspect. He could have been the one responsible for the logistical parts of the tour. Getting the cities and venues booked. Preparing promo stuff. I'm not saying he didn't give any input about song choices, but I have a hard time believing anything obscure other than "Le vol d'un ange" (his favorite from "1f&4t") came to his mind for this tour. I could be wrong. Hopefully, someday, I will find out I was.

 

not sure Celine will talk precisely who was behind certain ideas :wink: But I think since Rene wasn't able communicate too much with people, it was hard for him to make business calls etc, I believe he did bring some ideas, Celine said she was kind of secretary with him, always writing down and making sure she doesn't miss anything

Given the state of his health and how frequently recently they've mentioned his influence in song choice ( he wanted TSMGO, chose Hymne a L'Amour with Celine; trois heures vingt,etc), I think it's MUCH more likely that he was involved in song choice than that he was negotiating booking terms with venues.

Fantastic! I'm glad "Tous les secrets" came across better in person than it did on the live stream! Thank you for the quick review!

I wonder if we'll get some DCP rarities in Canada... "Quelqu'un que j'aime...," "Oxygene,"....

I'm hoping for "Quelqu'qun..." in Canada as well. It went #1 in Quebec, if I recall correctly.

I really, really want some DCP in Montreal! It has been my fave french album of hers for the last 3/4 years. Just now starting to move pass it...

I'm hoping DMQS, Oxygene, and Le Blues du Businessman... :wub:

 

But noone answered my question: are the chances thaf she will add or remove some songs in Paris or Canada?

Yes there are high chances that she will change some songs between Canada and Europe. She had about 5/6 songs different in 2013. I don't think it changed between Paris and Belgium though.

Wonder what changes they'll be (if any) for the Paris shows. I think it's more likely to be a few changes for the Canada shows.

Well, it's sad because when I noticed that Celine Dion Holland is streaming live as the Red heads Link wend down, I shared it with all of you.

 

But the others who have the links that still work are not willing to share theirs... Well, that's sad

 

I just feel really sorry. I haven't seen your post until now. I was so focused on trying to find links that I didn't even notice that a certain point people was asking for them. For tomorrow, if there's livestream, I used this https://www.facebook.com/livemap/?ref=endscreen, going to Amberes with the map and trying all the links. They were going down all the time, quite stressful but I did manage to see some things.

 

Once again, I'm really sorry for that, I didn't mean to it.

Honestly, I didn't even factor in his health condition. (Maybe I'm still so overwhelmed by all the great material added to this tour?) I just have, and have had, a hard time believing Rene was more artistic than the image he portrayed. He always put himself more has a business guy to get things done. I don't recall, at least in English, ever seeing him talk openly about his role in picking songs, etc. Save the time he flat out rejected Celine's idea of opening her Vegas show with "My Heart Will Go On."

I must admit that I don't like Ordinaire

 

Me neither, it's too heavy and not interesting for me.

 

Still can't get over the fact how great they could be (coming up with so many rare French songs) and how lazy/tasteless they can be (same English songs, with the same arrangements, same medleys) at the same time

Omg I never thought I'd say these words but why does she sound so much better then Vegas???!! Even MHWGO is a zillion times better live here then I've heard it in Vegas. I'll eat my words now from a few weeks ago. There is NOTHING wrong with her voice is was all just stress and exhaustion. Edited by Kristinaz
