Anyone notice in the liner notes it lists Aldo as co-manager still?

 

YES. I noticed that, too. I think it's a tribute to Rene -- and I don't think Celine will ever really be able to think of anyone but Rene as her manager. Remember in those interviews in summer 2014 when they were first talking about Aldo .. Celine was correcting interviewers, saying it was not a change in management (I forget exactly how she characterized it, but to her the wording made a difference to her. . ). It's interesting.

That's what I thought also, that to her Rene will always be her manager. Aldo is a good guy for respecting that. Says a lot about him. I do remember him saying he was co-manager in an interview and that he said Celine and Rene still decided things and he just carried them out. I don't remember which interview either.

You cited 4 songs (JNV, SCAR, TCC and LBEF) and labeled them as bad (!) fillers. These songs are ballads (LBEN being mid-tempo) with different themes, a variety of featured instruments and a specific vocal approach for each song. All sung by Celine Dion, the queen of ballads. If such recordings cannot please you, then nothing will.

 

The members who have called the album bad/average prove to me how good it is.

Aldo recently said somewhere that he will never see himself as Celine's manager, that Rene is her only manager and he is more of a guiding force. He said he will always call himself her co-manager.

 

I think that's very touching and respectful of him to leave the title of manager to Rene, even though he has passed on. It really shows alot about Aldo's character. Obviously Rene made the right choice when choosing Aldo to hold the rest of Celine's career in his hands.

This album is so beautiful and easy-listening!

 

I always listen from PQA till ALPHB, no skipping songs. After Celine introduced EUS, Ordinaire and ALPHB l knew we were up for a good album but the result exceeded expectations!

there was a woman at Costco, and she was not sure about taking the album, wanted to put it back on the rack, my husband saw this and he said : Mrs. , you shoud really take it , if you don't you will regret it, i can assure you , i'm not her greatest fan , but this album is very good. this is what he said to me after, quit proud of himself. The woman took the album finally. My husband selling Celine's album, if someone would have said it to me , incroyable.

Does your husband know Céline is widow now? If not, maybe you should consider playing him the song "Eyes On Me"... You know, just inform him that Céline's heart only belongs to one man. Just in case his enthusiasm keeps growing and goes further

Well we've been waiting 4 years for a new French album, and 3 years for a new album. Anyway it's a matter of taste. When you are such a big fan (of Céline or any other artist), there's nothing compared to the ritual of having the real thing in your hands, removing the plastic wrap and playing the music from it's real source, which is still today a CD, and luckily once again, a vinyl LP I don't like the "coldness" of playing a digital file, and there's nothing like the sound coming from a vinyl/CD in a good stereo. I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

The digital file will sound cleaner than a vinyl record unless the sound of the grooves in the vinyl is what you're going for
