Will L'ETOILE be the new single of EUS??? It is true??? OMG!!! I throught that the new single would be LES YEUX AU CIEL or MA FAILLE!!!!! I'm very surprised!!!! In november the reedition of EUS....and will the videoclip of 2 singles leave???? :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

Jup, just like they did with her older albums.

Release different singles for different markets. Just sent them to radio, and whatever happens, happens.

THIS IS A POSIBILITY!!! LES YEUX AU CIEL SINGLE IN FRANCE AND L'ETOILE IN CANADA BUT I THINK THIS IS AN ERROR. ONE SINGLE FOR ALL WORLD AND NOT DIFFERENTS SINGLES FOR EACH COUNTRY.

I very like Les yeaux au ciel so maybe for France ... but if not L etoile is also Ok. But where is the video for EUS? I still hope there will be one. After so many years she did video in Paris ( finally video out of Vegas ) and we still don´t know if it will be realized ... There always were videos for her french singles and now ... I don´t understand ... the most of her recent videos were very simple so I don ´t think problem is they didn´t like it. Edited by duri

At this rate, it's going to be released on a VHS tape exclusive at her online boutique as a bonus if you buy the four t-shirts there.

They're also going to release the single of "L'etoile" with the Phil Spector songs from 1996 and the summer tour on cassette as bonus tracks. :D

I think they intended to release LYAC as the second single. This is why we already got two performances of the song. But as far as I remember it had no impact on charts which is probably the reason why they changed their minds and went for the similar song of the album which has a more generic message though! Just my thoughts on this.

 

Anyway I LOVE the song and it is a GREAT single choice no matter the radios/public/charts reception!

As long as they just sent a song to the radio and do nothing else with it. No song will have an impact.

They just sent EUS to radios and reached #1 within the 1st week. Everything is possible.

Yes right. This is possible too. I think with the exception of Sans Attendre all her French releases since DCP had local releases!

 

This album has so many potential singles (L'etoile, Ma Faille, Les Yeux Au Ciel. Tu Sauras... even Si C'etait A Refaire) that I don't mind the system/strategy of local singles.

I think Sony can't wait for the single EUS to go down the chart in France to release the 2nd single!!!

That's probably why they are not releasing the video... :-D

I'm not so excited about "Si c'était à refaire" being a single either. There are stronger tracks on the album. Why not "L'étoile" as in Canada?

My guess is that they chose SCAR because it shares the most similarities with EUS than any other song on the album.

 

1.Personal song

2.Ballad

3.No edited vocals

4.Penned by Jacques Veneruso who is the second most important hit-maker for Celine after Jean-Jacques Goldman.

 

Getting down to it... it kinda makes sense.

People hoping a song like Tu Sauras would be released so that it becomes a smash hit are the kind of people who would probably expect Celine to be played in clubs. :D

 

Were you living under a rock during the LMBTL era?

 

In a career that spans almost 4 decades one would expect at least a couple of big (=being popular to general public) dance hits before releasing Tu Sauras. Celine has 0, so...

First it seemed very promising with this new french album, but now after this choice of new single for France it seems that everything is like it was before ... nothing new in Céline´s career .... bad choices ... all in "comfort zone" they don´t want to take a chance to take the risk a little bit ... But what is new with this new album? Maybe this time there will be no video ... I don´t know what to think ... why they cancelled Les yeaux au ciel ... hope it will be third single after all. Exactly..they never ever learn. I know some of you like the track but it is not hitmaterial at all. It is definately a fillertrack. It is a very heavy ballad. Not pleasant to listen to.

I do not understand them . Having L'Etoille and les Yeux a Ciel and Tu Sauras as potential fresh hits and then pick this heavy boring ballad...
