People here love to claim she's in it only for the money but turn around and praise Mariah or whoever releasing albums or whatever during a pandemic that has left millions of people unemployed. But yeah, Celine is the one in the wrong because she's gone on hiatus during a pandemic.

 

 

You know why this forum is dead? Because the fans here only know how to suck out any fun one can have from anything. At least Mariah fans support her no matter what. For instance, I'm sure if Celine sang as poorly as Mariah has done in the past you'd be eating her alive. Not saying we should be blind to her flaws but just chill, it's her life and career so let her do what she wants.

 

 

 

I couldn’t have said this better myself, the negativity on this forum of late is bloody exhausting tbh. She’s clearly damned if she does and damned if she doesn’t. Nothing she does is ever good enough for some so called fans. I think we need to understand that she’s still in this business purely for the love of singing and performing for her fans, as for the rest of it, she’s well past that. She’s been there and done it for years. We should be thankful and accept that we still get new music from time to time and to be able to experience a living legend live if you’re lucky enough to do so.

 

Clearly she doesn’t feel the need to post on her social media everyday, attention seeking quite frankly, which is what a lot of artists are doing right now. We’re all in an unprecedented situation and living day to day until the day comes that we can get back to some kind of normal and perhaps Celine is feeling the effects of this, like so many of us. Did anyone think of that?!

 

I think we should appreciate and accept the fact she’s taking a break right now, albeit unscheduled, she’s worked non stop since René’s passing and after her Mother’s passing earlier this year, maybe it’s time for her to take the time to grieve those losses. I miss her greatly, and am feeling it right now, knowing that I should’ve been seeing her next month but rather than moan and complain constantly perhaps we should be using this time to look back on her extraordinary career and celebrate the legend that is Celine Dion!

But if the 10% shows she’s there now with “Dee Inner Circle” I will be majorly f***** off if she’s now there working on a French album, album cover and French music video after abandoning the English album.

I am fine with people "moaning about moaning" as it were, as everyone is entitled to an opinion. But a forum will always be messy, a place where we can hear all opinions, and they are all coming from a place of love for Celine. No one is signed up to this forum because they dislike Celine or want to bash her.

 

In fact, many people, myself included, have pointed out and appreciated she is taking some time off. And many of the posts that are critical are talking about things that happened pre-covid. Moreover, they are directed at her TEAM, and not her.

 

And to be the unthinking, probably 22-and-under lamb who praises everything Mariah does no matter what...sorry, but I don't aspire to be that type of person. Besides, Celine fans already leave a lot aside. If we were truly rotten, we would never shut up about how Celine is lipping all the time and has done so for decades. Obviously, we don't, because we accept that practice and accept her because we are huge fans. That obviously already takes a great deal of base love and support.

 

So, I think before people are so quick to label things as negative, they should parse a bit more closely and see who it's directed at...i.e. the people around Celine, often. If someone is not ostensibly in retirement, then I think it's find to have expectations of them.... (again, mostly talking pre-covid times).

What Shania and what Mariah? The Shania that fell from the face of the earth for years because of her lyme decease and made a comeback with a LV residency? That has recorded 5(?) studio albums and performed 500 shows? That has taken many long breaks and no longer has her voice?

And what Mariah? The Mariah that has recorded 15 studio albums and performed 450 shows? That can't sell out 3k seats theaters for the life of hers in the same exact cities Celine toured and at the same exact period in the USA? That again, no longer has a healthy voice and she as well tried to take advantage of LV residencies? And you compare these 2 artists to Celine that has given us 27 studio albums and 2150 shows, multiple docus with intimate moments, countless interviews and has practically been working non stop for 4 decades while maintaining her voice and is actually able to perform live? Shania and Mariah have to do a lot to keep up with Celine because if the don't they will simply disappear. Even when they're doing them, they still can't sell. Can you be so naive to believe that both of them and the rest out there release stuff just for the sake of releasing them? That they don't care about success, exposure, money and fame? And you're blaming Celine that only cares about money and fame when she is the one that literally doesn't give a tiny rat's a$$ about this whole industry game? And you desperately want her to release something new? First of all, she just released 22 new songs, second of all, for what? She's not going to promote it anyway and you'll be saying that you can't listen to it because you can't feel connected to it because she doesn't promote it lmao.

To be honest, it's not that she doesn't need to promote, it's about her not wanting to do this promotion game anymore and she has said it multiple times. She is here for fun and as long as she's having fun all of us will be able to see her. So instead of suggesting her to retire (because you don't agree with her life choices), i suggest you retire from her fan base and be happy with the rest of the artists that meet your criteria. I'm thankful that she is performing and releasing new songs and i'd take that over her disappearing for the rest of her life.

 

Seriously though, 2,5 years on this forum reading the same exact posts, from the same exact people that are unable to accept reality. Yet somehow, the rest of us are delusional.

Y'all are really something. Fans on social media have been asking for new pics of her and we finally got them and while I see happiness elsewhere all I see here is "well where's the music?"

And so what if the new pics & video were taken days or weeks ago, it's still new to us. Many complain about the fact she only posts fashion pics but now they post something casual and it's still not good enough.

Can TC and her management do better? for sure. I think we all agree with that but can we just enjoy the little things and ask for more but with love and care instead of just demanding things at every turn. You know the saying "you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar."

It’s just that doing promotion shows that you care about your music, that you have passion about your hardwork post-recording session in studios, that you care about the longevity of your music, that you appreciate your music, the writer, that a lot of people work hard for her music etc. For example, she talked about Sia all the time. But when she finally release an album with 3 Sia’s songs, nothing.

 

The thing with Celine’s team is they always give us what they want. In Mariah’s case, beside they give the fans what they want, they put what the fans want in the decision making, promotion wise. They maximize the utilization of her social media when it comes about music. So the fans always in excitement to find out anything new about her music. And it makes fans feels close. Meanwhile, as Celine’s fans, as much as I love her, I always feel so far away from her.

 

We’ve been waiting for forever for that live performance of her rare songs, official footage of hyde Park, videos of 2018 tour, music video for Encore un Soir, Lying Down, just to mention a little. But nothing.

 

A constructive criticism is good. We’re fans allowed to critizice her. Why do some people think that a constructive criticisms is a negativity? Do we have to praise Celine all the time in every single thing we do? Doesn’t the criticism we gave her means that we care a lot about her?

Those pictures could easily be from last summer when she was in Canada to prepare for the tour. That's why her hairstylist was there.

Why can't Dee be there? Maybe she's taking a vacation in Quebec too? Maybe they are preparing a photo shoot or maybe Celine will do some interview? There are many possibilities. And why can't they be friends?

An American currently can’t enter for tourism or leisure, only essential travel allowed. And of course, Canadians always allowed to come home (as I did, and I think there were maybe 10 people on my flight from NYC to Toronto). Government tracks you to ensure self-isolation for 14 days (I got phone calls daily; if you don’t pick up they show up in person). Closure currently extended until Sept 21st, at least.

 

I’d like to be the official who calls Celine daily to make sure she’s not leaving her farm and has people who bring her groceries! 😁

I've sent a huge private message to Sony Music Instagram, talking about poor promotion, that Céline deserves a team that could make it... Etc. I wrote about Lying down music video and as me too many fans are upset about the promotion of Courage. If she sells well and they do their thing... We could have a garantee of new futures albums and not to wait 5 years to have another new one. All I would like is that Céline could record albums and good one as Courage.

Thank you, I believe it should be annouced on some of her major fan pages as well. They should give a hand in that.

I tell you what, we can decide on one specific day, and on that day everyone will write Celine a nice message

hastaging Celine on Twitter or on Instegram, that we will simple really like her to sing some new songs from Courage,

to get some special materials from past materials, or from Courage since we know they recorded billions of songs

for this one which is a great thing. She needs to dare to give space to new songs and not to be afraid of it.
