I honestly never really understood why Celine hasn't been casted in any movie, especially after her talking about acting all the time.

 

I'm starting to feel that she is not really that "wanted" by people in the industry.

Remember the story with Ryan Reynolds, she instantly said yes, for singing a boring song for R-rated movie, so there's definitely not a problem about her being "picky".

 

Kinda same feeling about her never singing duets with the biggest names out there (Adele, Gaga, Mariah, Beyonce, Pink, Bruno Mars etc). Maybe she just never got an actual invitation from anyone. Yes they do love her and sometimes work for her behind the curtain but that's about it.

That is your opinion. Ashes is a epic song and seeing the many reactions, not only on the funny video but also on the song itself and how they love it. This is the big ballad type of song that is so clearly fitting Celine

instantly said yes, for singing a boring song for R-rated movie, so there's definitely not a problem about her being "picky".

 

Of course that whole story is made up to have something comical to add to her show. She loved the song and that is why she said yes, plus it is out of her comfort zone, singing for a superhero movie.

I know the chances are probably very slim, but I would love to see Courage get a pop vocal album nomination at next years Grammys. If Adele releases by year end forget it. But at least a nomination would be nice. But let's be realistic. Chances are slim.

You never know. Streisand often gets nomination for “Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.” Celine’s getting nominated for Album/Song/Record of the Year, however, are definitely long past.

You never know. Streisand often gets nomination for "Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album." Celine's getting nominated for Album/Song/Record of the Year, however, are definitely long past.

 

Yes but Best Traditional Pop Vocal album never has a big line up of potential nominees when you see what' even been considered for consideration each year. Pop vocal album is about 5X bigger and more competitive. I'm not hold my breath for a nomination this year. But, I'd love to be proven wrong

And usually these albums are bestsellers and have multiple hitsongs, from what i remember in the 90s.. no i do not think she will ever be nominated for best album.again. Back then musictaste also was so much different. Those were the times that big soaring ballads scored. I wonder if Titanic came out for the first time in these internet and streaming times, if my heart will go on would have been that massive hit again.

She is most definitely going back to Vegas. Even in her promo video for the Courage world tour she says "Ciao ...for now." Writings on the wall. Plus she live-in Vegas. It's too easy to not say no. They will no doubt offer her premium $$$$ and she'll likely do half the amount of dates she did for Celine. I predict this time she may do less than 40 dates a year.

 

I question Celine's return to the Coliseum though. Caesars Palace and the Coliseum still follow her on Instagram and she them. I understand they don't deal with AEG anymore though; so don't know about that. Being the sentimentalist she is and given Rene built that place I feel she would like to return to that venue. Wouldn't be surprised if they worked something out in a couple more years. Regardless, we're going to see her back in Vegas. Which actually I don't mind. Celine was magnificent!

Yes, but there is some stiff competition in pop these days. I wonder what her best shot would've been i.e. which awards show would be most favourable to her. The BBMAs do seem to love her.

I truly believe that. Just look at 2016, he made her present again in a quite hardcore way. After Aldo was gone Celine was pretty much gone too. He knew how to promote, but it took time and effort, and I think that Celine just wasn’t willing to invest that much time and effort anymore. That’s why things are the way they are nowadays. Oh she fired him? So, it’s not because of the family issue that Aldo said?

 

Workload? Come on! Aldo is doing everything he can just like Rene. Maybe he can make a deal easy like Rene does.

I think you are dreaming. Her peak has passed, no matter who manages her. Very little radio support and not enough streaming. Not a good combination to rule the charts. Celine is smart that way and knows how things work and she is not chasing to rule the world. She'd rather be having a good time and enjoying her life (and do what she wants when she wants to).

Can't say she's wrong. She's been there and done that already! Time to enjoy!
