Maybe it’s because of the measures that our government announced last week that may allow Celine’s concert to take place as planned. There’s also an increase of interest about the tickets the last couple of days. The concert is still being advertised on greek radio.

HA! Yeah - you and I disagree on a lot of things but you have clear cut, well thought out arguments. Your suggestions for what Céline could do as an artist I understand - I don’t think it’s who Celine is but I understand where you’re coming from. That Shamrock guy just comes on here to complain/*CENSORED*/vent/bash. He’s basically a “Lamb” in wolf’s clothing.

 

I take it, from the posts I’ve read over the many years I’ve been on this forum, that he’s supposed to be some cool interviewer and (maybe?) does some writing on the side. But the interviews I read and the posts he writes (or wrote - I can’t see them anymore thankfully) are so full of grammatical errors that I can’t take him seriously.

I don’t think she’ll go back right away in Las Vegas after Courage World Tour. I think she will make the tour even longer by adding more countries and dates.

Laziness is such a common theme in the posts of those who complain. I think we need to re-visit the term keeping an open mind.

 

Those of you who call Celine lazy - have you ever considered that it is maybe OK for humans to be lazy? Maybe we are naturally predisposed to laziness? Maybe the breakneck pace Celine used to work at was not natural? Maybe she SHOULD be slowing down after all? Give these a think.

 

Now please consider where your critiques are coming from. Maybe it is the hectic pace of our lives that makes you condemn the decision of an artist to slow down? Maybe we are used to think that our lives have meaning only when we are working, competing, earning money?

 

Finally, please take a moment to consider... would YOU be working if you were rich and did not need to work?

I mean, I'm sure they are out there, but I can't think of another artist who has done as much live performing as Celine over the last 30 years? That takes a toll in some way at least.

 

I'm all for Celine being lazy and slowing down overall, but if she does record an album---which, by the way--was recorded over a long period of time, I think she should promote the hell out of it!

Can someone please post HQ scans of the standard edition booklet? That's part of the reason why I made an account because they're are not any online and I only own the deluxe copy which doesn't have all the nice pictures of Céline and lyrics.

I’ve thought about this too. She’s really set herself apart as the diva who performs relentlessly — but it’d be great to see her lay low for a while and then try new things.

 

I’m all for Celine slowing down. She should take the Babs Streisand approach to life & relax & grow roses — working on new albums at her own pace and then emerge for promo and concerts only when she’s fully ready to commit & enjoy it. I actually really respected how she took her time recording the Courage album, and the quality of the material shines through. I truly believe that, in her mind, she was doing enough promo with all of those hotel room interviews but it clearly wasn’t enough.

 

A lot of what we want, as her biggest fans, would require very little energy — like releasing shelved songs & concerts. Reba, who just announced the postponement of her tour, is releasing a bunch of previously unreleased concerts as a gift to her fans. Gestures like that would mean the world to us. And can you imagine if Celine surprised us all and released the Phil Spector songs?? Our heads would explode. Or at least the short blonde hair Vegas show!

The fact that the official music video for My Heart Will Go On, Celine's by far most succesfull and recognizable song, has not been uploaded to her VEVO account, demonstrates how braindead her team is. :unsure:

 

I wonder how many views that video would have by now if they uploaded it before 2010. I remember there was MHWGO on an unofficial third party account with over 100 million views, but then it was taken down.
