Still, it’s louder but not that bad compared to LMBTL album vocals where it’s so loud. That’s why if they ever release the full version of that string and bass. I’ll continue editing it and balance céline’s vocals to the instrumentals just like i did on sample Edited May 15, 2020 at 08:33 AM by jpatdeleon09 Quote

Shamrock_1982 Posted May 15, 2020 at 10:39 PM Posted May 15, 2020 at 10:39 PM I think many people now no longer care after the wait and hype for this album. She’s just literally a money making machine who became scripted and lazy mainly due to her Vegas shows and in recent years to me, her heart simply isn’t in it anymore, it’s just something that comes with the job/contract that has to be done. I hope this time off gives her time to think about her direction, new ideas, a different approach from a performing point of view and begins a new an exciting chapter of her career as an artist... she hasn’t had a break really since Rene died, so hopefully this period does her good as a singer and as a person 5 Quote

jpatdeleon09 Posted May 16, 2020 at 12:56 AM Posted May 16, 2020 at 12:56 AM After over 700 shows in las vegas performing 5 nights a week for 5 years. Who wouldn’t get tired after that? Then, a world tour followed for a year. Then, took a one year off to rest and try to have a baby Then, back to residency show. But Céline changed Las Vegas. So, I can’t complain with that. But still. It’s very tiring. The repetition night after night. It’s hard. No one can ever do that the way she did. I’m still amazed she did that. Finishing the contracts some would have left. Very professional. So, no one should ever compare her to other singers. I’m curious if the residency shows didn’t happened... 1 Quote

That she put her whole heart into it. She took the time to choose the perfect songs. She loved every single one that she recorded and had to be very meticulous about how the track list ended up. I’d rather her take her time like she did with “Courage” than pick a bunch of songs and record the album within a week. 2 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

Most of the people in this world work like 8 to 12 hours every week, a lot of then in weekends too. They don't have millions of dollars to relax and go whatever they want in their free time, live always in a budget. They don't have people to take care of their kids or clean their houses, so they have to do it when they're back from work. But if an artist do one fifth of that, we all like: "Oh, poor baby, works to much". BTW, that's not a judgment to you. We all do that. Just sharing a thought here😅 1 Quote

Does this people always get sick from working? Not much compared to Céline. How many times did she cancelled her shows due to sickness and having this so called “Vegas throat” to adjust? Performing vs Normal work which is mostly just sitting in your chairs In front of computers. I wouldn’t compare it. Actually, Céline is working 8 hours a night when she was performing at las vegas. She go to colosseum maybe at 5pm for the sound checksssss, perform and go home at 12am. Performing onstage is hard. It’s hard to be in top shape just to entertain people watching you compared to a normal work at the office. Some even have a time to gossip during work/short fun at comfort rooms lol it’s easy to judge unless you experience it Edited May 16, 2020 at 07:40 AM by jpatdeleon09 1 Quote

Lol That really isn’t a valid excuse None, since people who work mon to fri for 8 hours has no complaints at all. Unless you got very lazy lol I don’t see that with some people i see mostly where they can still go home when it’s break time from work. They can even sleep then go back to office after. Same to others. Break to gossip. Break to have short fun. Performing is different. No wonder why she’s so tired 5pm to 12am every night.. no breaks, worrying if she will be in top shape or in the mood to entertain different people around the world night after night. Yes, she’s making millions of dollars but she can also lose millions of dollars in a just a snap of a finger if it didn’t go well. Well, we don’t know what it really feels on stage if you’re céline. It’s easy to say that all she did was easy lol but in reality it’s hard. More in this era. People are easy to judge, bash you, and get tired easily of you. Like what’s happening now in this forum. i just wish she still have the best team or else.... as the famous words of céline. “If it didn’t go well, i will just sell everything and start all over as a mom”. Well, that is just what i feel that i think she will feel after performing so so so much during that 2003-2007 residency show that is why i brought it up. The amount of shows will change you big time, your priorities, everything. Compared to other singers who has lesser shows. Maybe that’s why some have more time or the energy or fun in making more music? i guess it would be great if she has lesser shows during that era.. you know. Balao Posted May 16, 2020 at 11:52 AM Posted May 16, 2020 at 11:52 AM Céline Dion is Céline Dion 24/7. It's not a part-time job. When she's touring, it's not just the shows or the rehearsals. She has so many photoshoots. She has to be perfect all the time. She's under public scrutiny all the time. It's probably as difficult as working in a factory 8 hours a day 5 days a week. Maybe even more difficult. 3 Quote
Popular Post couldawouldashoulda Posted May 16, 2020 at 12:23 PM Popular Post Posted May 16, 2020 at 12:23 PM From the perspective of someone who is Only 4 years younger than Celine...the older you get, the less you care about things. You don’t care what people think. You don’t care about chasing things like “dreams” “success” “marketing yourself” “selling yourself” “accolades”...those are all young people’s issues. You naturally slow down as you get older. You become a parent and your kids give you an entirely new outlook on life. They become the most important things. Work is work is work is work. Celine really could stop performing. She doesn’t need to go on a world tour. She could become a Streisand and stay at home and only come out of her box only every 4/5 years and do a tour of only 20 or so cities. Sometimes, the fans don’t know how lucky they have it. And how spoiled and selfish they come across when wanting Celine to be something or do something other she is. What? You want to her to be on every talk show and have #1 songs? She’s “been there done that got the t-shirt.” Or in her case “been there done that everyone else has the t-shirts.” Céline is exactly where she wants to be, living life exactly the way she wants to live it. Why do the fans have such a hard time letting her be? Sometimes, and again, as you age, it’s ok to just be.... 12 Quote
Xpresso Posted May 16, 2020 at 01:13 PM Posted May 16, 2020 at 01:13 PM (edited) I think there is a nuance to be made. She indeed put her whole heart into this Courage album and it took a long time - as long as she needed to make it perfect (for her - not for the critics). But the passion that is no longer there is the need to promote and push that album. She did the minimum that she could in terms of promotion. And as couldawouldashoulda just said, with age this stuff is not a priority anymore. She worked REALLY HARD for nearly 30 years to get this legend status!(8 to 12 hour days? Celine did that for a long time to get where she is today! Recording, interviews, travel, promo, music videos, TV specials, award shows, tours, charity events, greet & meets, signing autographs, etc.) When you guys turn 52, think about Celine and you might understand where she is coming from!
