Everybody here knows I rarely cut Celine and her team any slack, but I think what happened with SLS actually had nothing to do with poor handling. It was during this era Rene's cancer returned, and we all know the rest of that story. I'm willing to bet SLS was planned to be part of the Asian tour, as well as made into a single with remixes. Unfortunately, that never happened. I hope she'll revisit the song one day beyond singing one line from it during an interview.

 

Unfortunately we'll never know...but I just go based off of Celine's language: "they're gonna do a remix". It is one of her better uptempo songs for sure, I love what they did with it.

Nor does she check social media to see what fans think of the album or particular songs..she's too scared. Just how she said her biggest fear with this album is letting down her fans. As long as she sees people in the audience, she's happy.

That seems logical...

Imagine if you posted something to socials and hundreds of thousands of people commented on it. You’d scroll through lots of positive words, as well as some constructive criticism, but also tons of hateful comments from angry, displeased fans. In the end, would it change how you felt about what you made? Would you go and delete it? Would you start over, scrapping what took you and others weeks or even months to create? Probably not.

 

Maybe she doesn’t realise a 60-second clip of her dancing in the recording studio isn’t enough for her most devoted fans (who are spoiled rotten by other eras of her career ).

 

On one hand, I respect her for not involving social media in her personal life... but on the other hand, she seems to have put a lot of trust in people who aren’t relaying the constructive criticism aspect the fans are offering. It would probably be too overwhelming for Céline, who seems to be extremely sensitive and relatively pure-of-heart. Who knows: maybe the adolescent lyric posts are her idea? Maybe her team is too timid to say, “You know Céline, 3,556 people loved your lyric post idea, but 899 fans thought you should fire me.”

 

... or maybe they are relaying the messages (“They’re whining about PLMALS again, Céline... should we release it today?”) and she’s chosen to steam ahead and do things her own way *shrug* We’ll never know!

I just realized her YouTube page is also missing the music video for "Je danse dans ma tete," and the official audio for "Ain't Gonna Look The Other Way." The lack of caring amongst her team members is astounding.

Those are automatically generated by YouTube. They aren’t technically fully “official” by Celine’s channel. About a year or so ago YouTube consolidated a lot of videos to be found under just one artist page. It is insanely confusing and misleading because it makes certain unofficial videos appear to be official. It’s annoying.

I think those are provided by Sony, not by Céline’s team. It’s not her Vevo account, I think they just get attributed to it.

maybe they released footages from NW because they consider

I think this song can add some freshness to the setlist and can work good live

I doubt it. I think they just have many recording sessions filmed and are planning to release them randomly, one by one.

That video and nothing is the same for me.

 

'Nobody's watching' is a good song, though. One of the few from Courage I still listen now and then. So fresh, young. Yes, kinda silly but sometimes it's good to be silly. Not everything has to be so deep.

 

And I still think that with a good video, with Celine dancing unpretentiously, in a funny-goofy way, with some celebrities doing the same, could be a hit (not #1 hit, but like Ashes).

Even with the teeniest bit of promotion Courage goes up on the charts. It's now at #205 on the iTunes albums chart (and in top 40 pop albums)..

 

So as much as you all complain the video sucked it got noticed. Now we just need more!

I don't find logic why to "promote" something and later on not to promote it in the actual show?

 

If this is the quailty of their footages I better wait for this end of the Tour hopefully

they will be able to bring something better. The promos for the beginning of this Tour were really aweome

they were short but at least they had good editing.

Not with the instant gratitude attitude and lack of attention span of most people in the world these days. Most want quick preview to judge whether or not they will purchase/download the song and probably would not watch a 3-6 minute video in it’s entirety.

That’s great news! This is why I wish her team would just keep building on the momentum and continue to post ONLY Courage related material for a while. It’d continue to climb the charts again, and we’d get more fun articles like this too:
