It almost feels like there's no album even out. Where's the buzz? This is the most anti-climatic album campaign she's ever had. It's such a beautiful piece of work, I just hope they know what they're doing.

 

I sadly have to agree... Even 'One Heart' got more promotion back in the day.

On the plus side, I’m still having a romantic affair with the album. My current love is ‘Best of All’. Is it anybody else finding it really hard to like ‘The Chase’...I don’t know why. I can’t warm to that one.

No one is realistically saying that...we are just saying what we wish would happen, something in an ideal world.

 

Like a parent or a good friend would want the best for someone else. Obviously Céline probably doesn't think her career is her top priority (at least in terms of sales and impact)....but it's not wrong for people to wish she wouldn't discount those things...at least devote 3 weeks to promoting an album which fans waited 6 f****ng years for.

 

She's a legend who should garner even more respect for her huge talent...and this album was the first time for Céline to be reintroduced to the world after being considered uncool for 2 decades. And despite the amazing music, she just ignored that chance to reintroduce herself fully.

She said specifically awards accolades number one positions and sales dont matter to her she does this for performing and singing... So if I translate this to certain fans they are trying to push their train of thought and their way of thinking on her instead of listening what she is saying... She is saying more clearly and loudly now for the last few years what she wants... She wants to dance sing perform have fun... go out things she didn't do because she was working on her career of almost 40 years going to the top and maintaining herself as one of the ultimate divas... So if you are a real fan and you respect her than respect her choices and what she is choosing to do... Thats when you respect your parent or friends even though you think that their way of thinking is not the correct one, or that you would have done it differently... Cause non of us know what is right for her... Only she knows that... so keep living in an self filled illusion and let it be as it is... If she does more promo great than surprise enjoy the 20 new songs she gave us and be happy she didn't retire a long time ago to enjoy life, cause she can... and if you don't like her new thought click log out simple and follow ariana grande she is in the rise right now so you can brag about her number ones.

Heck, even that god awful Miracle album got more exposure from her, is she seriously more proud of a collection of lullabies than this incredible 20 track album?

 

She can do whatever she pleases, she’s free to do that. She’s worked for nearly 40 years and reached the top and back again. My only point is don’t bother releasing albums if you don’t want to celebrate it and share it with the world. Just do one or the other.

Hey guys did u notice the resemblance between heart of glass and zein malek song dusk till down ft sia.the part where she say (I was living in heart of glass Is the same when they say in that song dusk till down) I love both songs by the way but listen carefully it’s the same thing .i guess sia was inspired by her own song haha 😂

Hahahaha you start of by justifying yourself again but than do exactly what your trying to justify... I enjoy her record if she promotes it or not because it is awesome... And I love the songs, and im sure she will sing some of them live still... But thats the attitude im talking about if you dont do it my way dont do it... No she is doing this her way accept it or move on and go fangurling ariana grande... This is a fandome not something that she owes us... you know how many hardships she has encounter in her life... good neither do i so i cant make decisions based on what I feel is the right thing for her... offcourse you can stats your opinion but some fans are saying who she should and should not be friends with and when and how she needs to put in time... nobody knows what was the plan and why it turned out like this maybe has to do with contracts or whatever... point is if your a real fan and you care about her let her do her thing and enjoy her music if you dont like the concerts or music dont listen dont go easy but stop B****g about it day after day after day...

There is a difference between an opinion and an illusion... look it up explained it a few post ago... Nobody is being attacked your stating your opinion and I'm stating facts thats all... At this point it’s going round in circles. Everything I say here is said with respect. I won’t post much anymore (I didn’t much anyway)...I just hope in time we get to see some more energy for this album. She has plenty of energy to commit to over 100 international dates on a world tour, maybe she has none left for this beautiful album.

Rene is going to wake up from his grave with all of these things that Celine and her team are doing. I thought the promo for LMBTL was the worst. I didn't know they could top that horrible strategy. Rene would be very dissappointed with these if only he is alive today.

Just because her logic isnt logical to some of you, doesnt mean there are bad intentions behind it. Celine doesnt like to promo, as she has clearly stated multiple times. She likes to perform. She doesnt like to perform because she gets more money, she likes to perform just for the sake of performing. Why is it so hard for people to accept that what she wants is to perform? The fact that this gets her more money is a plus, but is not the reason behind her decision. She doesnt need the money ffs. She doesnt need anything except the crowds enthusiasm and love.

 

And what is this craziness? If she doesnt want to promote her album, then she shouldnt have released it. Are we even serious? You would rather not have this "masterpiece", as you call it, because there's no promotion? But then it ceases being a masterpiece afterall, if what you need in order to enjoy it and connect to it, is Celine's promo. I dont need Celine to promo and sing HoG to say that i love the song and no Celine promo could ever make me love "I Hate You Then I Love You".

 

Also, some here act like they are the global advocates and speak on behalf of the entire poor world that didnt have the chance to find out that Celine has a new album because bad/lazy/greedy Celine didnt promote it. So you care about all these strangers that ignore her new album, but you dont care about what your "favorite artist" wants and needs? You justify your words by saying "i simply want her to share her masterpiece with the world." but why? Why do you care so much about Celine sharing her album with the entire planet? Why all these strangers matter to you so much, if not about sales and numbers, your ego and the rest. What if people actually hate the new album and start trashtalking it? Would you still care about them enjoying this "masterpiece"?

 

Its funny that some people care so much about all these strangers that dont know the new songs, and at the same time, they stop caring about all these strangers when it comes to the tour setlist, and want Celine to sing different songs, although these strangers seem to have the time of their life.

 

At the end of the day Celine is trying to please everyone as much as she possibly can. She gave her actual fans a new album with 21 new songs and she gives the casuals the hits. I honestly dont believe that she actually knows how sad/angry some fans are because of the lack of promo. Promo was scheduled but she got sick and now we are here. She had to reschedule the shows and ditch the promo, no matter how bad that made the album drop look, but if you were one of those 53k people who got their show cancelled, you would prefer her doing your show, than promoting her album, especially when we're talking about Montreal. Things arent always go according to plan, decisions need to be made and not everyone is going to be happy, but thats life.

I personally find it sick and twisted that people who have some sort of problem always find a way to bring up Rene, its like they know its an “easy jab” at her or her teams actions. Lest we not forget all the mess ups and flubs he was a part of/ head of. I do however, find it extremely disrespectful and rude, to try and demean the logic, intelligence or actions of someone who has been in the music industry for 40 years, and knows more about it than any of us ever could... tasteless to say the least

Honestly, Courage is the best English language album Celine has ever recorded. Every day I have a different song playing in my head. The production and melodies are modern, and I feel she feels a connected to the lyrics. It feels like this is the first English album written specifically for her - just like the ones JJG wrote her in French.

 

I just wish she would have the COURAGE to perform these songs on tour. My partner is by no means a Celine fan, apart from admitting that she has a great voice, the only song he has ever really liked is Qui Peut Vivre Sans Amour.

 

But nevertheless, I've been listening to Courage, and today he told me he really likes all the songs! He said that this is a solid album, and would even consider seeing Celine in concert, if she performed these somgs, because they are so good. MHWGO, ABM, TPOL, and BATB and the covers - he could not care less about them.

 

So, what I'm trying to say is, please Celine, don't underestimate the value of your work! Even casual fans like this album a lot! Please, be Courageous and ditch the covers and perform your own material! You've worked hard for it, perform it proudly!

The same Rene who had her performing Because you Loved Me when she was doing her Taking Chances promo? the same Rene who had two embarrassing lip sync filled TV specials? The same Rene who had her perform two songs (and a cover) off of her brand new album in AND? The same one who had her do like 2 bits of promo for Miracle? The same one who almost completely ignored D’elles except for a few tv appearances at the time and only one song off the album on tour? The same one who after 2002 forgot what promo was? Oh. Okay.

Yes, the Rene that I believe is so proud of both his artist and his wife. His artist has finished vegas ,launched 2 albums and is now on a huge world tour. She could have just retired and enjoyed fashion. Yes the Rene that took a small town unknown little girl and turned her into an icon. A performer that will forever be remembered. But what does he know.....? Yes the Rene that as a husband , now has a wife that respects and honors his memory while raising his three sons with dedication and so much love. I agree with your arguments and relativizations. What I do not understand is how the whole music market is changing. Everyone here does so, so they would know what's going on.

 

If I'm honest, I do not understand the following: Why do you release an album with ambitious songwriters without consistent marketing and promotion ??? Why do you make such a high-class product as this Ablum - and does not make more profit? The whole manangement apparatus is certainly not stupid - they will have their reasons. And that's exactly what would make me wonder.

 

Are album charts totally overrated today? I can not really believe that the real profits in the streaming area arise ...

 

Is it the concert and event ticket quantities that define the success of a singer today? If YES, then we need not worry ....
