JulienMcbeal Posted December 6, 2019 at 06:10 PM Posted December 6, 2019 at 06:10 PM (edited) To me, its equivalent to arguing in public. If you were out to dinner, or something like that, and youre trying to have a conversation with your friends, but you cant hear them because a couple at the table next over is shouting so loudly that no one else can hear themselves think.... would you ask them to take their argument outside?? Perhaps you would not, but I certainly would! Not because Im the most important person in the room, but because I care about the comfort and enjoyment of those around me. I guess thats the product of working in the hospitality industry my whole life, where consideration of others not self comes first. P.S. I do 100% agree with your post about others projecting/compensating. I think weve all been guilty of that at one time or another!IRL, you can't escape people arguing beside you at a restaurant because you can't scroll them. On an internet forum, you can. So that's not the same thing. Beside, I love listening to other people arguing, and I love reading them here - if their arguing interest me. If I don't then I move past it; I scroll. It's not a newsroom, it's a forum - meaning an agora. Literally a public place for arguing. Whereas a restaurant is a commercial place to eat. Very different situations. Envoyé de mon LLD-L31 en utilisant Tapatalk Edited December 6, 2019 at 06:11 PM by JulienMcbeal 2 Quote Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans

I love Brandi Carlile, and since Celine seems to lean more and more into songs as political stance, she should cover Hold out your hand. That'd be great. And maybe The Story, which BTW would fit Courage right on: the story of her life, scars and all. ordinary fan Posted December 6, 2019 at 06:48 PM Posted December 6, 2019 at 06:48 PM (edited) This is something that has always baffled me. So I’m going to explain myself and ask a serious question - not being snarky. No, I can’t relate with you about the great feeling I get when non or not really Celine fans love Celine’s songs. I could not care less if anyone else likes her or not. I’ve been a fan of hers since the first time I heard her sing (Where Does My Heart Beat Now video that was a commercial introducing new singers before the movie The Prince of Tides) in 1991. I’ve loved her ever since then. LOVED HER. There was at least a decade where I didn’t listen to anyone else’s music besides hers. (Then she stopped releasing albums but every 6 years and I had to find different music.) Everyone I knew and I mean EVERYONE I knew, and still know, HATES her, thinks she’s a joke - the beating of the chest, the overwrought lyrics - they think she can’t really sing - she strains too hard. All I’ve heard my entire life is how much people can’t stand Celine Dion. But that didn’t affect me or change my mind. I loved her voice. I love hearing her sing. And one of the greatest pleasures of my life is being second row at a concert and experiencing her live (no matter what songs she’s singing.) I don’t enjoy Beyoncé. I don’t enjoy Blue Bloods. I don’t enjoy movies. I don’t enjoy rap. Do you think my friends who do like those things care at all whether or not I enjoy those things? No. It means nothing to them. So my serious question is: Can someone please explain to me why it matters whether or not other people like Celine. You don’t know her. She’s not your friend. She’s not your sister. She’s not your aunt. She’s not your wife. She’s a singer that you like. What does it really matter whether or not her album is #1 or # 100? What does it really matter whether or not she’s loved by masses of people (which she is - even though I don’t personally know any of them.) And I’m seriously asking - since I couldn’t care less about what anyone else thinks of her - I’m just going to love listening to her music (practically every day) - why is it such a big deal to some of you how her album sells or what other people think of her? Not singing new music in a concert - I get that. I get that disappointment. It doesn’t bother me personally but I can understand how you’d want to go to a concert of your favorite artist who just released a 20 track album and hear more than 2 tracks. I came to terms (a long time ago - around the time ANDHC was out and she only sang, I think, 3 songs from that album in concert?) with the fact that Celine is a “greatest hits” performer. I saw Cher last night. She only sang 16 songs - all but 2 of them hits - and those 2 were very famous ABBA songs (so covers) which were on her new album. The actor/therapist in me is curious: why do you feel the need for other people to like Celine Dion? Does it actually change your enjoyment of her? And why are you disappointed when an album (like LMBTL) doesn’t go #1 or, in the case of Courage, does goes to #1 but drops dramatically the next week?I'm don't care that much about Celine's view numbers on youtube or her performances on charts. I take it as it comes. I know she is a veteran artist, so performing well on charts or being the number one singer of the world are things of the past. But I do like it, when one likes a song that I like. And that's not only for Celine's case. It's simply a great feeling when people share the same music taste ragarding songs. That was all I wanted to say Edited December 6, 2019 at 06:54 PM by ordinary fan Quote

Ronny83 Posted December 7, 2019 at 08:50 AM Posted December 7, 2019 at 08:50 AM Hell has broken loose over Céline Dion’s latest album, sources told us. Dion topped the charts last week, debuting at No. 1 with “Courage.” But the album then made history by falling out of the top 100 — the biggest fall off the charts after a No. 1 debut, according to Chart Data. “She’s upset. All hell has broken loose. The only reason she sold 100,000 was because of the whole bundle thing that labels do, but she only sold around 3,000 the second week,” a source told Page Six. https://pagesix.com/2019/12/06/all-hell-breaks-loose-after-celine-dions-no-1-album-tumbles-off-charts/?utm_source=P6Twitter&utm_medium=SocialFlow&utm_campaign=SocialFlow Quote The Celine Dion Italian fanbase - CelineDionItalia.com

Also, https://www.tvanouvelles.ca/2019/12/05/celine-dion-flirte-avec-un-animateur-de-radio From her Australian interview, at 9:17 he's asking her how it felt to be no1 with FIY and her answer is: "To be honest with you, it's always kind of like oh wow, it's great but, it did more of an impact on Rene and all my team because those guys in the business what they want is to see numbers and money but for me, i wanna see fans, i wanna sing my songs to the best that i can, i don't care if i'm number 19 or 1, dont get me wrong, when i say that, but if the audience, if we're sold out and they love the songs, that's all that matters to me." 7 Quote

We are better off not giving it our attention. The album is far from being dead. I would encourage all of the fans here to continue streaming it and buy a copy if you haven't yet, and buy another one while you're at it as a Christmas gift for someone lol.
