DionFanAlways Posted December 10, 2019 at 12:12 AM Posted December 10, 2019 at 12:12 AM i think so, yes, but i do think since we already had this greatest hits tour in Europe, the setlist will change when she is here. In America she has not toured for years so this greatest hits tour does make sense. Verzonden vanaf mijn iPad met TapatalkBut that reasoning makes absolutely no sense to me, North America gets "greatest hits" and Europe gets this amazing album. Frustrating. Oh well, regardless, I'm going to have a great time in Feb. in Houston I know. 2 Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

Popular Post scielle Posted December 10, 2019 at 04:31 AM Popular Post Posted December 10, 2019 at 04:31 AM (edited) I'm just catching up with the last week or so and let me get this straight. She went to New York for better part of a week to do album promo and instead she spent 2 days filming a commercial for someone else? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for leaning into her quirky fashionista persona, but was the time not better spent doing something else? (I really hope we don't see her schedule henceforth littered with L'Oreal and #InstagramPartner gigs…) No wonder the album fell 110 spots - with the exception of those following her on social media, nobody knows about it. Well, nobody knew about it until the "epic, historic fall from #1" headlines. And yes, there are many. There are more than there were articles about the album coming out in the first pace. Newspapers who didn't bother to cover or review it are running "look at it fall like a rock" articles. And sure, it's just one market, but no matter how you slice it, US is still the biggest and most visible music market, so that kind of coverage will travel far. And it does her no favours in terms of getting gigs like, say, a Bond song, an SNL appearance, a Grammy performance spot, etc. And it'll undoubtedly impact her advance / recording fund for the next album. One can only hope it doesn't turn her off of recording altogether… There's no denying it - the publicity folks here dropped the ball. I was convinced she'd show up at the AMAs. And then when she didn't, I was convinced they'd release some pre-recorded interviews in the 2nd week. But nada. And the Macy's performance - while smart - did nothing for that week since everything's closed on Thanksgiving so no physical sales were recorded (Nielsen is actually showing a zero for that day). I'm truly perplexed by what they did (or rather, didn't do) with the promo for this one. Especially since they had put it off for soooo long, like they had some major promo plan in the works, some meticulously-planned release schedule. But no.And it's all especially sad given it's her strongest English album to date. Edited December 10, 2019 at 04:32 AM by scielle 11 Quote

Especially since they had put it off for soooo long, like they had some major promo plan in the works, some meticulously-planned release schedule. But no.And it's all especially sad given it's her strongest English album to date. It's not like this album has been in the making since 2017 so it was a huge surprise for everyone.... She needs to be on a big daytime show, like Ellen or The View or what ever and sing a freaking song! It's not that hard! Céline really needs a show like Oprah... Oprah loved her to bits and they had such great chemistry! And it wasn't just a 8.20 minutes segment with 3 minutes of the same questions, 1,5 minute of a weird game and 3,5 minute song and then 20 seconds of applause... it was a full episode dedicated to her!! AND what was even better with Oprah was that her shows were broadcast-ed all over the world, which had a great (delayed) promo! For instance here in the Netherlands the Oprah shows would be like 2 or 3 months behind, but when the Céline episode aired, the sales went up again! Same goes for her album specials, they were re-aired many times, even if it was just late during the night, it would still attract viewers. I really don't get why Céline and her team didn't do another TV Special like ANDHC. This album would have been perfect for it! 7 Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th
garyhollander Posted December 10, 2019 at 09:31 AM Posted December 10, 2019 at 09:31 AM Would someone please help me understand how I can block people on this forum so I won't see their posts, cause some people here are so negative and talking BS and whining all the time not fair to ask them to take a break from the forum, so maybe a better option would be to block them? Is that even a possibility? All help is appreciated. Thank you very much in advanced. 1 Quote

Charles Posted December 10, 2019 at 12:50 PM Posted December 10, 2019 at 12:50 PM I don’t care for album sales etc . As long as she’s enjoying herself. She’s done it all before, she doesn’t have to do any of that to please certain fans. Her tour is bringing millions of dollars - I’m sure she’s okay with that too. Spreading some positivity here 5 Quote

mirage Posted December 10, 2019 at 09:10 PM Posted December 10, 2019 at 09:10 PM That's what I'm afraid for, Sony will say why bother to make another album, or release a back to back album now when it all went down in the second week. While it was all about the promo. The album is great, but I'm seriously a bit done with Céline the person. The tour lacks creativity, and she rather fly to Paris for fashion week, than doing some decent promotion. All hyping the album for 2 years, and than completely ignore it when it's released. Artistry viewing point I can't be bothered anymore. And it'll undoubtedly impact her advance / recording fund for the next album. Is it just me or that sounds really stupid? No one is realistically saying that...we are just saying what we wish would happen, something in an ideal world. Like a parent or a good friend would want the best for someone else. Obviously Céline probably doesn’t think her career is her top priority (at least in terms of sales and impact)....but it’s not wrong for people to wish she wouldn’t discount those things...at least devote 3 weeks to promoting an album which fans waited 6 f****ng years for. She’s a legend who should garner even more respect for her huge talent...and this album was the first time for Céline to be reintroduced to the world after being considered uncool for 2 decades. And despite the amazing music, she just ignored that chance to reintroduce herself fully. 3 Quote

Chances are very low there is 1 week then it is Christmas ...it would be great if she did something in Europe but with one week and few days only it will be little miracle ....maybe something in USA but with Céline and her team my hopes are very low to any ... what I don´t understand is if Céline has no time because of tour or maybe doesn ´t want to do promo why her team don ´t give fans video with talking about album or behind the scenes simply something ... but album is out 1 month and we have nothing it´s very strange ... Tom_London_Fan Posted December 11, 2019 at 10:27 AM Posted December 11, 2019 at 10:27 AM It almost feels like there’s no album even out. Where’s the buzz? This is the most anti-climatic album campaign she’s ever had. It’s such a beautiful piece of work, I just hope they know what they’re doing. On the plus side, I’m still having a romantic affair with the album. My current love is ‘Best of All’. Is it anybody else finding it really hard to like ‘The Chase’...I don’t know why. I can’t warm to that one. 4 Quote
