I was hoping we’d be lucky and the album dropping on the charts would just kind of fade away. I hate that this news has been resurrected and it’s gaining steam again.

 

But I guess the good that could possibly come out of it is getting the attention of Celine and her team. And perhaps she’ll finally do more promo.

 

At this point, I’d take a live performance of her singing a new song on tour. But I’m really hoping for more big tv appearances and another music video.

 

Do we think they’re going to wait until 2020 to do another push for the album? Or push it now for Xmas sales?

 

I know the vinyl edition is coming in Feb. She’s also rumored to be singing the Bond theme, right? So they might just try to do another big push around that time.

 

Celine still has the chance to catch fire with her music. Just look at Ashes!

 

I’m thrilled the album hit #1. I’m thrilled her tour is so successful. But she’s gotta do more promo.

Things here have been so negative lately.

Of course I want Céline to be the best forever and ever; but let us check some numbers.

Let us suppose that Courage sells 2.0 million units... which is very very very difficult nowadays.

 

Then the total income would be around 24 M US$. This is definitely not money for Sony, neither for Céline...

And that would require a lot of investment in publicity , traveling and a great effort.

 

Does it sound attractive to you ?

Let us think now about how much money they are currently getting from concerts...

I love Celine and this album for me is her best in ages.

 

However, When you don’t promote the album, this is what happens… Not even this tour promotes album; It may be named “Courage”, but this tour is the “greatest hits/boring covers tour”; it’s anything but the “Courage” tour.

 

And they didn’t promote it elsewhere, I’m not surprised it debuted at number one and then fell off the charts, it’s kind of embarrassing... but her I haven’t ever seen a worse promotion in my life ever, hell even the “One Heart” album was promoted better with Chrysler cars LOL.

 

All this tho, doesn’t matter when I love the album this much.

I doubt it. The movie comes out in April and the producer said that Play Me Like a Love Song would come out on Valentine's day. So the timing is off. We will see...

Leak or no leak, it’s the label and team Celine’s job to promote this album otherwise it’ll die. They didn’t promote it, and it died; plain and simple and it’s all their fault. No appearances to promote this album, no songs other than two performed in the COURAGE tour.... they dropped the ball multiple times and contributed to the fall of the album in week 2. If it wasn’t the bundle that saved her for being number one, and they did the same s*** promotion she would’ve probably debuted at 111. If this would’ve been a mediocre album, like TC and LMBTL, I wouldn’t have cared of it’s fall.. but it’s one of her most artistic albums ever and such a waste of opportunity all because of lack of effort.

they were doing everything right before the release. But not after. If she did a huge promo tour right afte the release, the album would perform much better on the charts and everybody would talk about it.
