It’s so funny to me that people dog the lyrics of FOMO, and then love songs like “Let Your Heart Decide.”

Yeah, Celine often gets flak form not writing her songs, but in reality, many of these artists who supposedly write theirs get support from entire armies. And often it's hard to tell - did they truly co-write something 50/50? Or did they contribute a line or a chord to something 99% created by others?

Often, it's the latter, and from the outside, it's impossible to tell. They get the songwriting credit whether they wrote 90% or 10% of a hit; only those involved (and their publishers) know the actual splits.

 

Like Don’t Save it All for Xmas Day. It sounds like Céline just wrote the bridge. If she actually devoted time to songwriting, she could come up with some melodies — we know she could. But there are only so many hours in a day, and clearly Céline has chosen not to use her time that way. It’s not like she needs the money

FOMO is nice to listen to the first 3-5 times. After that, to me is a very forgettable song.

 

And about LYHD, I don't know about others, but if I like Let Your Heart Decide it's only because Tous les secrets exists on the first place . That's the song I like. The English version is just a bonus that I appreciate it was given to us, same as Mes ailes à moi and You And I.

Well, she did mention in some interview (or two) how she keeps a notepad by the bed because she often has song ideas come up at night and wants to write them down.

 

And Scott said in an interview circa '16 or '17 that he wound't be surprised if we saw her songwriting soon.

Tous les secrets is right next to A vous. If you re not a 12 years old child how can anyone connect to those songs honestly ?

Statistically, it's impossible that among all the songs received ( never been so many as per Céline), 5 of the same person ended up to be on the final cut(and supposed to be the best ones ).

 

Or she is a music genius. Which I doubt

I don't expect any major changes to the set list seeing as the band still seems to be on break/ probably flying in tomorrow (which happens to be Thanksgiving Day, so a national holiday in Canada.)

I certainly hope so as right now I fear there will be too many up-tempo modern songs on this album and too few “Céline ballads”.

Folks, Ottawa is in the border of Ontario and Québec. Most things in the city are bilingual. It’s an amazing city because of that.

Folks, if the song called by us "Play me like a lovesong" isn't on the album, there`s a big chance it will be included on the next one. I want this song on the courage album as much as you do, but if it's not there this time, the chances are very big that it will be on the next album. She said that she recorded so many gems and she can't include all of them in the courage album. But I'm sure it will be on the next album, if it's not included on the courage

Also I'm really starting to worry Play me like a love song wont be there I know many of us have mentioned it lots but I just adored what I heard so i'm hoping we got the song title incorrect...If only we knew the song writers to all the songs and if that lady called 'Irit' wasn't listed we would know it's either going to be saved for the next album or be used for a movie theme song, maybe the next bond film

Yes, but the lyrics are at least nice ones. I think the lyrics to FOMO are well written as well, although not so deep. But then you have LYHD, which is just a hot mess lyrically. Literally words thrown in a blender.

LYHD is along side Super Love as two of her worst songs ever. I mean, how can you call either of those anything other than a mess and yet sh*t on FOMO... it makes no sense to me
