I've never liked the way he records/mixes her voice. I know he's been around for many years, but I find his way of working very outdated, and even unprefessional. Almost all high notes recorded by him sound too high (in volume) to the point that damages the sound quality (don't know the word to say it in english). On the other hand, vocals recorded by François Lalonde sound so much better (Sans Attendre was recorded by him and it was great, the same as for LMBTL, that I don't like taht much, but it's not his fault, vocals are well recorded, the producers were the ones that messed up that album). They couldn't believe she was Celine Dion, they freaked out. And they loved the song Why is it so hard to grasp the concept that one might not like CFTF? It is not an important song in her catalog, she has barely performed it live, its total views on YT are below 1m, it is not known as fan favorite, and IMO it is been-there-done-that both musically and lyrically. Like a mix of Your Light and I'm Alive, albeit more bombastic. And also dated. But f*** my opinion. The other things I mentioned are facts. And collectively they matter. I mean... It is not as if I critiqued a unanimously acclaimed milestone of her career. Same as songs like I Know What Love Is, I Remember LA, Nothing Broken But My Heart and another dozens of great songs that she has never/barely performed live, but yet are excellent tracks in her discography you mean? But I admit that "Super love" is ..... awful ^^. *** About the lyrics : as I mentioned before, I didn't care about lyrics in her English songs before. For me it was just random love songs not so powerful (except for "That's the way it is"). But the 4 songs we already have in the "Courage" album are just amazing in terms of lyrics.
