about E=MC2, nikos is right. this is her best album ever. almost all 14 songs have already grew on me and i love it so much that i play my cd at least twice a day. everytime i hear Love Story and For the Record, i can't help myself singing along with them. the album is simply a masterpiece. but i don't think this album is her best since Butterfly. Glitter is a lot better than Butterfly. and don't forget TEOM, which became one of my all time favorite albums.

#1's is probably my favorite mariah album. it's strange but greatest hits just seems like such an afterthought..though it has all #1's songs and even more. but i guess my "mariah greatest hits mania" had already been worn out after #1. + i love the duet version of whenever u call

 

imo glitter, charmbracelet were all horrible. and the problem for me with e=mc is most of the songs are forgettable to me. at the end of the day it's only difference of opinion though lol

i have to mention something - not all mariah fans hate celine .. i mean i know there's a huge rivalry between them and a lot of fans live to hate each other..but i joined a forum recently..a mariah one..i admit it's a smaller/quieter one but it still has hundreds of members...and in a thread about celine maybe 75-80 percent of the posts were positive. a lot of them like both celine and mariah

Neither Ashlee Simpson nor Kylie Minogue are comparable to Celine or Mariah in terms of status.

 

I just don't agree with this form of comparison (as I've said before) because the TCH tour is still ongoing and Mariah has not really promoted E=MC2 outside of the USA except for a few appearances in Europe and that a comparison a few months later makes more sense to me. But the method of comparison is a matter of opinion. And my opinion is just that. And I can read fine, thank you. A difference of opinion doesn't mean i can't read.

 

What?Mariah promoted the album in UK for example where she has also more airplay than celine! but her album for now flopped big time! Celine didnt visit Netherlands Mariah neither but Mariah flopped big time(no matter the huge airplay confirmed by davey a member from Netherlands).Celine didnt visit many countries in Europe and her album sold quite good!Once again even if you dont like it, we compared the album after 1 month. Then who knows we will see. But I think like u're free to compare them after few months we all are free to compare them after 1 month! OK for u a comparison is good after few months we just did it after 1 month that's ok.

Yeah, Celine sold quite good. Which brings me back to the point about Celine's more international sound. But it doesn't change my opinion that Mariah could do better with more promotion in Europe. And if you read carefully, you would see that no one has actually stopped you from comparing after 1 month. I'm just expressing an opinion that I think a fairer assessment would be a few months down the road when the TCH tour is over and Mariah has done more promotion (she is going to Japan this week I believe). And an opinion is just an opinion!

 

You would also realize I actually said that Celine knows how to take care of her voice better than Mariah. Vocal lessons is not an excuse, no doubt. But if you knew about Celine's history, she actually went for lessons and appointments with doctors cause her voice gave way in the middle of a show in the earlier part of her career. And she was on vocal rest and stuff for a few months I believe. My opinion is that voice lessons do play a part in how well one is able to preserve his/her voice. It is a reason, not an excuse.

But Mariah is the better recording artist. I still play E=MC² every day. Couldn't say that about Taking Chances after a month... In fact there are only four really great songs on Taking Chances, while E=MC² sounds like having at least eight hitsingles on it.

first of all,Taking chances is a high quality album..it's different from céline's usual albums but she's at the top as always and she did a really great job..the new mariah's album (I admitt that I don't like her at all) is simpy disgusting..Touch my body(the title is ) can't be considered a song..britney's songs are better!!mariah can't sing live without being out of tune..céline's voice has changed but she's always at the top..she sings live perfectly..her performances are always the best..could mariah sing alone,that's just the woman in me,all by myself(I could keep on for days..)??!she couldn't of course!!and céline could really do mariah's high notes even better and higher!!

You know what, I think everybody already knows that you hate her.

and duuuhhh Celine is a looooooot more often out of pitch than Mariah. Mariah may cannot hit the belting notes anymore or is terribly raspy but that doesn't mean she is out of pitch. It's a very rare situation for her to be out of pitch.

I'm wondering if you have even wait 50 minutes to listen to the whole album... I doubt it. I bet you heard the mediocre ''Touch My Body'' and now let's critisize the whole album.

 

And I kinda agree with ray E=MC2 is a lot more listenable than Taking Chances but there is not point discussing this cause it is a matter of personal preferences.
