tal-sh2 Posted March 21, 2008 at 10:07 AM Posted March 21, 2008 at 10:07 AM Oh, God! Would you preffer that it will sell 500K like Jennifer's or Annie Lennox one?Or maybe only 300K like Whitney's last Christmas album? People, get it already! It's not bad!!! Black Kitten Posted March 21, 2008 at 10:18 AM Posted March 21, 2008 at 10:18 AM they are just overexpecting. TC will not sell that laughable 10-15M ever! let's just wait until next week. with the rerun of the november episode of oprah, it will be back to the top 100 again, that's for sure. but folks it is already platinum in the US and sold quite well around the globe, let's just be happy with that! Fredy Posted March 21, 2008 at 03:03 PM Posted March 21, 2008 at 03:03 PM The album has sold well so far, but with how good the album is, should've at least kept it on th charts. With the right single choices this album would've been selling well till now. I really hope they come up with a second single in the US. Quote

bfhb Posted March 21, 2008 at 05:05 PM Posted March 21, 2008 at 05:05 PM we are all celine nuts....and we want other people to enjoy celine and get as much from her cd's that we get ourselves...and its always good to celebrate success....while it hasnt stiffed completely .the sales are poor in comparison to her other releases..it is very disappointing that more people will just never hear the cd....the general feedback here in ireland is we dont like her new sound ...and those who may like the new sound will never get to hear it or give it a chance.....because it is getting no support or promotion...maybe when the tour hits town??? Nat27 Posted March 21, 2008 at 05:25 PM Posted March 21, 2008 at 05:25 PM I dont know but in South Africa we love everything that Celine does, no matter what she sings..... She could probably sing in Swahili (one of the eleven official languages in South Africa) and we would go crazy. karatedude317 Posted March 22, 2008 at 01:14 AM Posted March 22, 2008 at 01:14 AM I"m starting to wonder if they were only planning to release one single from this album. Elaine Posted March 22, 2008 at 02:15 AM Posted March 22, 2008 at 02:15 AM I'm not surprised at all with the charts in my country. 1st - They don't promote her in any way2nd - SonyBMG Brasil has a terrible page for her (the last album they have listed before Taking Chances is All the way... a decade of songs)3rd - They release her material at least 3 months later than the rest of the world, the fact which makes us Brazilians buy CDs through international websites or so... But anyway, in some countries she got platinums, which is really good, so that's what makes me feel less mad! Quote http://img807.imageshack.us/img807/1352/opo3.jpg

stillwater Posted March 23, 2008 at 04:16 AM Posted March 23, 2008 at 04:16 AM Let's face it, this album underperformed big time! (3 albums in a row now for Celine!) Should have, could have sold more in the US if only Sony marketed it properly. Problem is, Sony didn't know how to "sell" the new Celine-sound. Problem is, Sony seemed content and "again" relied on Celine's past successes and "again" completely oblivious that for a good record to sell, it still warrants a good marketing scheme. And whatever happened to the follow-up single? What the heck is Sony really doing to Celine??? The album on Billboard 200 drops to no.108! bad! Quote

Prince Whiskers Posted March 24, 2008 at 07:56 AM Posted March 24, 2008 at 07:56 AM 161.9M for Celine is quite low. Come on, FIY and LTAL cumulatively sold 70M copies worldwide. Quote http://cdn.webecoist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/modern-pet-solo-blown-glass.jpg

IM sure Sony as bad as they are wouldnt announce 200 million albums if it was untrue. There is something missing from this becuase Mariah Carey has definately sold more than this is claiming, so has michael jackson. IM afraid I dont agree with this at all Quote
Prince Whiskers Posted March 24, 2008 at 08:59 AM Posted March 24, 2008 at 08:59 AM Sony wouldn't lie about the 200M albums sold. Why would they? To PROMOTE Celine? To show that they CARE about Celine? Quote http://cdn.webecoist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/modern-pet-solo-blown-glass.jpg
Fredy Posted March 24, 2008 at 09:41 AM Posted March 24, 2008 at 09:41 AM I'm pretty sure she sold 200 million copies. Quote
