RLAAMJR. Posted November 29, 2007 at 11:56 PM Posted November 29, 2007 at 11:56 PM Well, at least her album continues to sell. I am not really that surprised now as to why Celine's album is not selling much. Her tour starts next year, So I know that her english album will continue to sell until her tour ends. When her tour ends, she will sell less of course. Quote
Ted Posted November 30, 2007 at 03:41 AM Posted November 30, 2007 at 03:41 AM The biggest one week Holiday is Celine Dion's "These Are Special Times" powered through 461,000 during Christmas week of 1998.FLASH POINTS • Josh Groban's "Noel" rises to No. 1 on The Billboard 200 with an 81% increase, selling 405,000. Credit part of the handsome increase to his surprise performance on last week's favorite-things edition of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" (Nov. 20). And, figure that post-Thanksgiving shopping and sale tags at Target and Wal-Mart helped out too. Winfrey's always-popular giveaway show helps give the singer his second No. 1 album, following 2003's "Closer." Both of his No. 1s were earned not by debuting in the penthouse, but by doing something essentially unheard-of these days -- moving to No. 1 after having debuted lower on the chart. In 2007, there have been five albums that grew their way to No. 1. Aside from "Noel," the others were Michael Buble's "Call Me Irresponsible," the "Now 24" collection, Daughtry's self-titled set and the "Dreamgirls" soundtrack ... "Noel" is the first Christmas album to top The Billboard 200 since Kenny G's "Miracles - The Holiday Album," did the trick for three weeks at the end of 1994. Kenny G would go on to release three more Christmas albums in 2000, 2002 and 2005 . "Noel's" 405,000 not only represents Groban's best sales week ever, but it's also the best sales week for a Christmas album since Celine Dion's "These Are Special Times" powered through 461,000 during Christmas week of 1998 I know you're worn out with all these numbers and I feel that way, too. There was important information about the album today. Like, for the second week she was #1 on the European 100 Album Chart and being #1 again in Canada is very special. VinnyT. Posted November 30, 2007 at 10:47 AM Posted November 30, 2007 at 10:47 AM WEAKEND TOP 10 PREVIEW: Caroling Jew Josh Groban (Reprise) has obviously been nice, not naughty, because Santa (or Irving Berlin) will keep him atop next week’s chart with a projected 375-400k. The Eagles will also retain their head of steam (rather than heads full of snow, like in the old days) as they flap toward 300-325k. Alicia Keys (Arista/RMG) will keep Clive jolly with 230-240k, good for #3. After that there’s a drop-off, with Garth Brooks (Pearl) trending toward 120-130k, and Now 26 (EMM) looking 110-120k-ish. Two Disney soundtracks with legs, High School Musical 2 and Hannah Montana 2, are dancing hand in hand toward 90-100k, while Carrie Underwood (J/RMG) and Celine Dion (Columbia) eye 80-85k. The way things stand now, Chris Brown (Jive) will round out the Top 10 with 75-80k. (11/30a) Quote For Exclusive News "Like Us" on Facebook http://i44.tinypic.com/vfjwad.jpg click on the banner

It's just the 3rd week... but what do you expect... it's selling well (not that well) but the sales are steady... with the world tour, the 2nd single in January and hopefully, with some more promotion, this album should sell atleast more than 1.5 million copies before her world tour after which (I hope) this album to sell atleast 5-6 million.
