I just went back and listened after reading the comparisons here. I don’t think she sounds anything like how she was demonstrating. She definitely did when I saw her on the CWT. Not on this recording though. She sounds more open and full here, rather than closed and pointed.

Exactly. 
 

I also saw her on courage tour and there were moments of that. But she also sang “The Reason” at my show in Cleveland and it was clear as day… it worsened the further the tour went on. 
 

I think people are describing her normal aging process as what is this tunnel Description.

I’ve been listening non-stop on YouTube, the more I listen to it, the better it becomes.❤️ I do understand someone who feel Celine seems to stick with her way of singing with the heavier "Er" or "Aw" sound. It probably results from a tongue reflex/ stiffness that keeps it stuck in a backward position, making her sound less sweet and resonant than in the 80s/90s. But that's not a new thing actually, so I guess we will just have to get used to it as long as no producer points it out as a "problem" (and it's not really a problem tbh, just her way of pronunciation). And as said, every song from Celine after SPS is like a gift of life for me, so I am more than happy with BPM!! Btw, can't wait to hear this live in Paris!

I don’t know if it’s just the quality of the YouTube upload I’m watching, and for all I know it probably is, but the pitch correction is *so* intense in the verses, coupled with the speed she’s singing at, that it’s straight up robotic at times. The chorus its been toned down and her voice really does blossom. I really do see what people are saying though, the instrumental really does make me think of D’elles. And I know on stage this song under Scott’s direction will be absolutely magical

It will be available september 4th and will also include Danson. I understand it's just in time for the concerts. But to me it feels like a missed opportunity not releasing it now. Or even announce it properly now.

And release a new edition before the tour starts with remixes and whatever version. Plenty of fans in Paris going to Fnac to get some Celine stuff, if they are smart they create some vinyls for us collectors.

For now it feels like they need time to create a new cover for it.

sounds nice. However, the frog tone is back, which is a shame cause she could choose not to do that and sing clear. She is rushing through the song, that's weird. 

I really like the rhythm and the instruments and sounds (sounds very much like like Play me like a love song, but faster!).

It starts off with a beautiful piano piece and then she’s racing through the first verse, that’s my only complaint… vocals are good, the chorus is good, climax is good, ending is good! Love the backing vocals at the end and the final “Merci”

Why does she add to Bonjour Pardon Merci, de 'je t'aime' ? The lyrics are very basic, wanting maybe to replicate the 'Parler a mon pere' kind of simplistic lyrics but falls flat, the humming from Les Derniers sont les premiers' from D'Eux album is getting tired. She sounds forced on the chorus, but good on other parts of the song.
