I love Bonjour, Pardon, Merci, and I would love my piano teacher who is a whip at piano to play the intro and he likes Celine Dion but only has two songs on his phone Where Does My Heartbeat Now and Nothing Broken but My Heart and I love Celine too and he asks me about her a lot during our piano lessons.

I hope Bonjour, Pardon, Merci charts globally as fireworks are going off by my house because I live in America and the 4th of July aka America's 250th is two days away and my family is going to have a small display of their own and going to watch the large city display later in the night and let me share a memorable story, so a couple years ago, the county I was attending the party where the display was held at banned Morders the ones that shot up in the air, spread colorful embers everywhere and make a loud bang, but the neighbor across the street, was shooting them off like nobody was watching and they were shooting off tens of thousands of dollars' worth of fireworks into the night, but then at midnight after we left, the cops finally came, seized their remaining fireworks and slapped them with massive fines due to the amount of calls and complaints they were getting.

Is there a music video for that song?

So far no. Rumor is just a lyric video.
Celine does her part and records the songs and then it seems the team can’t be bothered to do anything else…. Just like the crap single cover, I know I’m broken record but it’s sad the fans produce better ones, it’s a damn s*** brown Microsoft word graphic. Mind blowing 🤯

sounds nice. However, the frog tone is back, which is a shame cause she could choose not to do that and sing clear. She is rushing through the song, that's weird.

I really like the rhythm and the instruments and sounds (sounds very much like like Play me like a love song, but faster!).

You just can’t say frog tone to a french speaking person-  coming from an english speaking person- someone could think it is racist.

So, the lyrics are deliberately simple, functioning almost like a meditative chant or sacred mantra.

« This song was inspired by a Hawaiian prayer that consists of saying
every morning 'Forgive me, thank you and I love you' in front of the ocean as if we were depositing our
invisible burdens. »

« I then thought about the trials that each
of us could endure. Thus, I began to write words of resilience and gratitude,
accompanied by my guitar »

« Céline's voice seemed to pierce the sky, to come back and dazzle us with power and
delicacy »
YCARE...

Ho'oponopono is an ancient Hawai'in practice that enhances reconciliation and "putting things to right." It has been used for dispute resolution and mental cleaning that is part of deeper physical healing.

Thank you! This helps! I now think the words are directed to yourself ''Hello, I am sorry, Thank you, I Love You'' - the song is about self-love and self-acceptance.

It’s more about being grateful. Ycare explains that it comes from a Hawaiian prayer that starts like this “forgive me, thank you” and that everything comes together with love. In the verses Celine sings about accepting bad things, being grateful about good things, cause everything comes and goes and you must cherish every moment. And that we are never wrong giving love (“we never give or receive too much love”) :)

My understanding is that forgiveness and gratitude are described as important but not enough. These two are the standard words in the poem (Pardon, Merci) that is missing something. The extra ingredient is love. The 'Je T'aime' is directed at oneself IMO. The last verse speaks about self-doubt and feelings of inadequacy, giving the example of a woman who dresses in pink and a soldier who struggles with inner thoughts. So this ties nicely with the overarching message of the importance of self-love. Besides, to accept/love yourself is the first step to loving others too.

I really enjoy the song a lot. I just wish they’d slow the verses down. It’s like she’s racing through it too damn fast.

I imagine this will be the case in live performances of the song

Just bought it on iTunes.

It is joyful, uplifting, strong and I love it.

Some signature Céline bits in there and I love how they blended her vocals in the background throughout the song.

What a great treat and start to the weekend!

Avoided the previews and listened this morning to the official audio. I LOVE IT. I think she sounds amazing. It’s a breath of fresh air of a song.

My only issue with it is the length, I feel it’s missing something? It’s really short.

All in all I’m very happy with it ❤️

Glorious, glorious, glorious. It’s an anthem from Celine. I adore her voice and how she sings it.

My only gripe (if you hadn’t noticed) is the pathetic video. Her team had been doing ok with a consistent theme after they announced Paris and it’s gone tits up with this lyric video.

Also, for the fans that like it and can, let’s all actually purchase the song. That’s our jobs 😍

Welcome to this generation of short songs. We are not in the year of Gen Y’s with longer tracks. We are in the generation of short patience - short songs. LOL

I like this one much better than "Dansons". Her voice sounds very good, though I would have loved some belted notes at the end. I heard it yesterday once and while I was doing my dishes I kept singing "Bonjour, pardon, merci", it's very catchy.

However, as some of you pointed here, I really dislike some parts of her pronunciation.... It's like having a masterpiece and ruining it on purpose.

In general I like her tone, and I'm pretty sure she can handle the concerts next September if this is her current voice.

Song si very nice but its visual presentations it´s a totally diffrent story ... I don´t know if it´s current trend in presentation of songs or what it is, but single cover whitout her photo and now video for song they don´t even  call lyrics video but official video ... I don´t know what to think about it ... real videoclip with Céline in it for french song was in 2013 Qui peut vivre sans amour and in 2015 for Hymne with footage from recording studio. Thank God for Dansons video even it´s whitout Céline it was real video at least ...

I like the song, it's stuck in my head. Like the strings, the backings, the choir at the end.

I really don't get why they needed to speed up the verses. I will get used to it but for now it ruins it.

And like others mentioned, her pronunciation. It's like those impersonators back in the day, they would put up a voice/sound so much to "sound" like her. With sounds I really didn't hear in her singing. But the last years are so evident.

Most of Courage is sang in that way. While for example in Danson or Love Of My Life it isn't there.

And I just wish they would skip the 3 minute songs. That's in general. But Celine has nothing to prove doesn't need to be #1, doesn't need the tiktok generation. So give us great long songs with intros, different verses, bridge, etc.

I hope not!!! Surely not! When I Am Celine Dion was announced, they first had that 'text' cover too. I think the real artwork isn't made yet.

Yeah I don’t get what the record label are up to if I’m being honest. The single cover is awful. Truly. Someone signed off on THAT? Staggering. I would’ve loved to be in that meeting. “Yup, brown, basic font, no picture of the artist, exactly what we’re going for. Great job!”

I came up with the below in 2 seconds. This stuff isn’t difficult.

IMG_6784.thumb.png.f4c5e466ed4069e7f20f10e89681ff6a.png

And as for the lack of a music video featuring Celine, well it just stinks of a lack of effort. EVEN IF Celine isn’t interested in doing one there’s still enough archive footage out there for them to come up with some kind of concept for a video featuring her. It just stinks of “can’t be bothered” from the label.

As I said yesterday I love the song and it has instantly grabbed me more than “Dansons” did. I hope this one does well and I hope we get to see it live in the shows.

And it’s a discredit to the song and to the writers of the song to not even have her frigging picture on the ‘cover’ of a vinyl or the single on streaming platforms. Like what the actual hell
