It’s still not Friday in some parts of the world.

Yes but wouldn’t it be out where it is Friday by now if it was coming

It starts off with a beautiful piano piece and then she’s racing through the first verse, that’s my only complaint… vocals are good, the chorus is good, climax is good, ending is good! Love the backing vocals at the end and the final “Merci”

I was questioning the same thing like why the rush, but then the rushing vibe faded away suddenly after listening to it like 10 times lol

It takes them 4 business days, you should know that by now. 😜

No. They will wait until at least the song is released in all regions and then world premiere the video everywhere at once.

the song is bad. After all she s been through doing this kind of soup is a mystery for me.

in a personal way for her she s a warrior and this is really good. Vocally and Artistically this is very questionable.

She sounds better than on Dansons. Also I think it’s a much better song.

You’re misunderstanding. The rehabilitation was to get her voice back to baseline. She literally could not sing properly when she recorded Love Again and had to do 100s of takes just to get through the song.

I don’t know if it’s just the quality of the YouTube upload I’m watching, and for all I know it probably is, but the pitch correction is *so* intense in the verses, coupled with the speed she’s singing at, that it’s straight up robotic at times. The chorus its been toned down and her voice really does blossom. I really do see what people are saying though, the instrumental really does make me think of D’elles. And I know on stage this song under Scott’s direction will be absolutely magical

I actually used Audacity to slow it down while keeping her pitch/frequency, and I'm pretty convinced that she recorded it at a much slower tempo and it was sped up in post-production to make it more up-tempo, at least in the verses. That said, I recognize that, especially with pitch correction, it's just the industry standard these days. I love what we're hearing from her and *that* we're hearing from her and with such great tracks. But there's a tiny part of me that always feels like over-producing and pitch correcting Céline is a little blasphemous. The slowed down track sounds really great and I can really hear how solid her voice is here. But I think if that were the version released, people would complain that it's another slow song and want an up-tempo track.

No, not dramatic. Realistic. For me, there is an artistic break. I’m 42 now. I’m no longer at an age where I want to listen to this kind of bland, generic French pop — like a watered-down version of Lara Fabian or Hélène Ségara.

In every artistic career, even for hugely popular artists, there comes a point when the artist takes risks, dares, and experiments. It’s impossible, in my view, to keep serving up the same formula after everything she has gone through over the past few years. I simply can’t understand it.

Vocally, it’s very poor. It sounds as if she’s imitating someone else: “Interiewwwr pewwwr aiwwwm.” Honestly!

Dansons wasn’t great either. But at least vocally, the articulation was clean.

Personally, I really like the song☺️

Regarding her voice, I think we should all keep in mind that Céline's voice is simply getting older. She'll never have the voice she had in her 30s or 40s again. She's 58, and with age, the voice gets deeper and more resonant (perhaps also more nasal). It's simply the cycle of life, and that's perfectly fine. They may have used a bit too much pitch correction, but for a song like this, they usually use quite a lot.

We should always enjoy her voice. The good thing is that her voice is still at a very high level compared to other singers her age. Let's enjoy it!

I don't think it's an age problem. She sounded just like this already in 2012 when recording Sans Attendre and LMBTL (you can hear it in the BTS footage). But she controlled it better and they chose better takes for the official versions of the songs! Now it seems like they don't try to make it really perfect and pure, but just go with the next best take.

I agree and the constant humming at the beginning and in the middle of the track are an attempt to make that poor track sound better but it ends up sounding worse. I am not sure if the youtube post was accelerated version to avoid copyright claims TBC

I totallly agree with you. But as it was often said, we are here for the tree and not for the apples. Fruits from old trees are not so tasty.
Céline is the singer whose voice has changed to most during her career and I don’t agree with this « age effect » Elton John, Mick Jagger or Johnny Hallyday have and had a fabulous strong voice while old.  I love Céline for her voice :  looking at her whole adult career 80 pourcent of the songs are sh…t. But anyway, once again we are here more for Céline than her music.

i just think of the mainstream audience who is not hardcore fan as we are, thinking how bad she is, especially because most of people are stuck at PQTME and MHWGO. I am affraid that with these two titles, the big expectation leads to a big déception.
Yes she wanted to come back so hard and She succeed and this is incredible !!!But then ??? If she cannot propose something new, or experimental it will be difficult.

By the way can someone explain me what means «  vengés par ses erreurs » ?????

Holding out to download the proper quality song at midnight and enjoy it like it’s supposed to be enjoyed in its entirety with earphones, where you really get to hear every little detail that you miss when it’s up loud in a car or at home for example.

Although having just heard two snippets as a comeback single I do question why they released Danson before this…

Anyway hoping we get the music video tomorrow or Saturday at the latest.

I'm in absolute love from the 2:10 mark. I get chills.

If we don’t get a real visual or a vidéoclip with Céline, we will have a Shakira Word Cup effect 😃😃😃

The real Céline is dead and they présent us a clone on the stage 😂😂😂

There is not even a proper cover for the song. I'm not expecting any video at all at this point.

The song lacks oomph!

Objectively catchy and I can understand all of you who love it. But IMO, it is missing something. I feel it is quite formulaic and too pop. A type of song I could listen in Eurovision, especially the bland parts ''a word the unites us'' in relation to love and ''the whole universe is calling us''. It is on parallel with Australia's entry this year, ''Eclipse'', that says ''The world stops for us, only love exists''.

Personally, I like the vocals and cannot comment on enunciation because I am not fluent in French nor can I tell the difference between the various accents. That said, the heavier sounds have nothing to do with SPS. It is a stylistic choice, many words in 'That's The Way It is' and 'Tous Les Secrets' are sung in a similar manner.

The melody is nice and the song has a hook. It is very easy to remember. All these are good qualities. It is the lyrics I do not get. I am not even sure what 'Bonjour, Pardon, Merci' refers to. Do these words try to describe the stance humans tend to have towards life? To greet it, to ask for forgiveness, and express gratitude? And then why does the so called 'poem' not refer to love? I just do not get it the argument the song tries to build and its eventual point/message.

With 'Dansons', the lyrics hit hard since the first listen. It was a thorough song. A thorough experience. This one left me wondering, asking for more.

I also feel bad for the main part of the audience who is basically coming for the grande chanteuse that she was with PQTME, with the last 2 craps.

anyway. She s doing this soup since a long time ago enven with this voice more or less.

but I don t agree saying that she is one of the artiste whose the voice changed the most. What is weird is that even by now or just before her disease took other she was still an extraordinary singer/interpret way above most of her pair with incredible vocal capacity. Even if her tone and tunnel voice was not pretty.

many female vocalist lost her voice in a more dramatic way. Hello Carey.

It’s not. I enjoy it.

I guess some people thought that nearly 60 year old woman with SPS would rebuild her voice to sound like it was 1996 again.

I tried to do a translation of the lyrics that captures the sense as best as possible. I've seen a few different versions of the French lyrics floating around and a few different translations. Maybe this helps? Just putting it out there, in case.

If we just take on the color that light gives us,
Then when life dresses me in black, well, I forgive it
Whether you're from here or elsewhere, we’re all but mere men
Forged by our errors, consoled only by love

Hello, sorry, and a thousand thank yous, then,
For all the times when life covered me in gold

“Hello, sorry, thank you…”
A line is still missing from that poem,
A word that unites us:

Hello, sorry thank you… I love you.

How long will the lipstick trace remain,
There are some moments that were given that time takes away from us
We’ll never have enough of them, we’ll never have enough/we’ll always miss them
You can’t give or take too much love

Hello, sorry, and yes, I love you still
Of all the feelings, it’s this last one that’s the strongest

 “Hello, sorry, thank you…”
A line is still missing from that poem,
A word that unites us:

Hello, sorry thank you… I love you.

Look, it’s smiling upon us:
The whole universe, calling us
From the depths of the galaxies
“Hello, sorry, thank you, I love you”

You adorn yourself in pink, you put on make up, you make yourself up in a thousand sequins/glitter
Like a soldier holding the line against the demons in his head
And if you too are afraid sometimes
Of not shining enough from within:

“Hello, sorry, thank you…”
A line is still missing from that poem,
A word that unites us:

Hello, sorry thank you… I love you.

Look, it’s smiling upon us:
The whole universe, calling us
From the depths of the galaxies
“Hello, sorry, thank you, I love you”

Yes, I love you, I love you

The ego of the French is unbelievable. We understand that they're native speakers and know the language and pronunciation—we got the point. There's no need to repeat it over and over again, especially with increasing pessimism and negativity.

They didn't like the song. We understood that too. So if they're only coming here to criticize, there's no need, once again, to keep repeating the same thing over and over.

Let everyone else enjoy and discuss this new song without so much negativity.

Hahahaha Here in Brazil, a lot of stand-up comedians make jokes about the French regarding two things: that non-French people never speak French the way they do, and—of course, the most famous one of all: They don't take a shower. 🫣🤣
