Dancing_Queen Posted July 2, 2026 at 10:20 PM Posted July 2, 2026 at 10:20 PM I love Dansons. But BPM should have been the first single, no question. And praise the Heavens above, the woman can still sing. 7 Quote

Dane Posted July 2, 2026 at 11:29 PM Posted July 2, 2026 at 11:29 PM After reading your comments I think is good that I don't have a 'musical ear'. I love how fast she sings in some parts, and i love that I recognized her... and after everything she's gone through it's mindblowing to be listening to classic Celine again (at least for me). Thank you all for the yt links🙂 6 Quote
Mudo Posted July 2, 2026 at 11:30 PM Posted July 2, 2026 at 11:30 PM (edited) The song is at real quick pace in the beginning.Such a shame. She almost sound chipmuncky fast. I don't know who got the idea to leave that in the final take. Just heard it on the official page on YT (France) Edited July 2, 2026 at 11:31 PM by Mudo Quote

Mlaroche2711 Posted July 2, 2026 at 11:31 PM Posted July 2, 2026 at 11:31 PM It’s very catchy, the second chorus gives me absolute chills. The way it starts, all of it is so CELINE. i hope live it’s just as epic even if we don’t have. Early 00s Celine back we have a stronger recorded vocal than any recent album and we didn’t know what was wrong then. 4 Quote
Overjoyed Posted July 2, 2026 at 11:48 PM Posted July 2, 2026 at 11:48 PM Well... after listening to it several times, I have mixed feelings—let me break them down. The "tunnel voice" effect has become a common industry trope in recent years, so it’s not surprising to see it used here as well. It’s reminiscent of certain songs from the *Courage* album. The impression that Céline recorded it at a slower tempo turns out to be accurate—and the song is actually more enjoyable—if you slow the playback speed from 1.00x to 0.90x (for example, on YouTube). This results in a 3:30 track (20 seconds longer than the original recording). I assume this is the song's intended original tempo. On another note, beyond the simplistic lyrics—and the fact that we live in an era where the industry is held captive by people's widespread anxiety—I find myself wishing for a longer instrumental section, a solo, a more powerful chorus, a key change, or a bridge... Just imagine what could have been done with another minute and a half (or two) of runtime... 1 Quote
Coffeegirl Posted July 3, 2026 at 12:03 AM Posted July 3, 2026 at 12:03 AM Oh I love it 💞 the sound is classic Celine. It reminds me of Je ne vous oblie pas. I am shocked at how fast the verses are though, I was like gurrrrl slow down, catch a breath. To those critiquing the vocals.. Please remember she’s nearly 60, the voice naturally loses resonance as you age…. Resonance eliminates vowel tension, and yeah I can definitely hear tension in her voice… but it will just be her voice naturally aging. 6 Quote

I hope not! Yes, she sings swiftly in parts, but I like the energy of the song and I'd hate for it to lose that with a slower tempo. I'd probably blame YouTube processing for any roughness more than the tempo itself (plus I don't know where the account on which I'm listening to it got the song in the first place - they may not have started out with the full HQ version). I won't rehash all the comments on her voice to agree/disagree; bottom line, I think she sounds great overall - a little "enhanced", but no more so than most pop songs these days. Honestly, if I had zero knowledge of her having had SPS and her ordeals in the past few years (and earlier), I wouldn't even question how she sounds now - I'd just chalk up any minor changes in her voice to her age. I really don't think she sounds that different from 10 years ago; a little more depth/richness in her lower register - which suits her well - and her register has moved slightly lower overall, which would happen naturally from age. She still sounds fantastic! 3 Quote
Popular Post Loup_garou Posted July 3, 2026 at 12:42 AM Popular Post Posted July 3, 2026 at 12:42 AM (edited) So, the lyrics are deliberately simple, functioning almost like a meditative chant or sacred mantra. « This song was inspired by a Hawaiian prayer that consists of saying every morning 'Forgive me, thank you and I love you' in front of the ocean as if we were depositing our invisible burdens. » « I then thought about the trials that each of us could endure. Thus, I began to write words of resilience and gratitude, accompanied by my guitar » « Céline's voice seemed to pierce the sky, to come back and dazzle us with power and delicacy » YCARE... Ho'oponopono is an ancient Hawai'in practice that enhances reconciliation and "putting things to right." It has been used for dispute resolution and mental cleaning that is part of deeper physical healing. Edited July 3, 2026 at 12:46 AM by Loup_garou 12 1 Quote

Popular Post MalaysiaCeline Posted July 3, 2026 at 01:32 AM Popular Post Posted July 3, 2026 at 01:32 AM After Celine Dion’s new French single Bonjour Pardon Merci went live, many loyal fans on the forum didn’t seem to be like it. Some said our Queen’s voice has become more throaty, try to imitate someone else, nasal, lacking the bright, soaring, explosive power it once had. But I want to say—have we all forgotten that we are getting older, and so is Celine Dion? What’s more, what she has endured is not just the passage of time, but the merciless torment of illness. In those years, she suffered from the pain brought on by Stiff-person syndrome, and at one point even thought she would never be able to return to the recording studio, never again stand on stage to sing. But now, she is back. Her return was never about fame or fortune, nor was it about proving anything. After all, she has already reached the summit, been adored by crowds of thousands from the world , and become a legend in the hearts of countless people. Now, she is doing it more for herself—for the limited life she has left, to keep making the music she loves, keep singing, and keep shining. Enjoying where she started liking singing during childhood times. In this world, there has never been a music work that everyone will love. If some people like it, naturally others will not. But rather than criticizing her for no longer being “the way she used to be,” I would rather feel grateful. Grateful that in our lifetime, we can still hear Celine Dion sing. Grateful that she has not given up music. Grateful that she is still willing to share her voice with the world. Perhaps her voice has changed, with a little less sharpness and a little more of the marks left by time. But that sense of emotion has never changed. What makes some voices great is not that they are forever flawless, but that they carry the weight of life, the stories of time, and an unyielding soul. Welcome back, Queen. ❤️ 13 Quote http://aycu26.webshots.com/image/29945/2002084162406147433_rs.jpg "Taking Chances"...All Malaysian pls standby for the best album release in the year of 2007....

celine2199 Posted July 3, 2026 at 02:07 AM Posted July 3, 2026 at 02:07 AM Are we sure this is a Céline Dion fan forum?😆 No wonder her team never acknowledge this place, sometimes it gets really toxic... 3 2 Quote
Surprise Surprise Posted July 3, 2026 at 02:10 AM Posted July 3, 2026 at 02:10 AM It's awful. And what really gets me is that they keep repeating the same opinion over and over again, and each time it comes across even more negative. Like I've said before, it's perfectly fine if you don't like the song—being a fan doesn't mean you have to love everything Céline does. But sometimes this place feels more like a Céline haters' forum... although, to be fair, I've only really noticed two people. xD Quote
Popular Post Niroki Posted July 3, 2026 at 02:27 AM Popular Post Posted July 3, 2026 at 02:27 AM This song is beautiful... I also wish it was a little longer, I think it's missing a little bit more of the peak but I also understand that her voice may not be ready for that yet. What I do have is a beautiful song that I enjoy and it's new and I'm happy. Unfortunately.....at some point I think I'm going to stop coming on here I'm exhausted from all the toxic complaining... No one is ever satisfied anymore. Are some of you even fans in the first place I feel like you're just trolling at this point. The song is fantastic and beautiful but just because you might not agree with me doesn't mean you're wrong, everyone has different taste and good is subjective. But it's the way you complain about things . Sometimes is even stupid unnecessary things like her throaty voice and stupid accents on words and stuff like that... it's insufferable. It has nothing to do with the music it's just snobby and toxic. Get a grip. If you were ever a fan of Celine Dion you would be happy that you're getting music at all with her. There's a lot of songs I have not been the fan of over the years. A lot at least a couple on every album. But there are songs that stick with me my whole life. Her tone and voice is what I love about her, in my opinion she never has the best song choice for singles but that's her team not her usually. This song is beautiful she sounds beautiful. The industry has changed a lot and so they add things to songs I don't think are necessary or don't always work. But that's just the way the industry is and she's not an indie artist, she isn't going to do it herself it's not her thing, she relies on the people around her to make these choices for her. Sometimes you can be mad at them for the choices they make and that's more fair. But this constant bickering about her accent her throatiness, the way she sounds on certain words.. or just generally never being happy with songs unless they're exactly what you want..like being disappointed that it's not a dance/up tempo song from CELINE DION.. DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHOE SHE IS? LOL it's ridiculous and I just can't handle it anymore. I've been off and on here from before taking chances all the way up to courage.. it was much easier to be around here, and a lot fun many times even when we disagreed... but at this point I feel like I don't even want to be here to check up on news anymore, even though I recognize it's not everybody in here LOL in fact it's probably just a vocal minority but it's unbearable anymore. I just want to listen to the song on my own at this point and not even interact because it's just bringing me down and we don't need this negativity in the world today. I'm just going to sit here and enjoy her new music knowing that even a couple years ago I never thought I'd hear a new song from her again. And I don't need the toxic negativity to keep me from enjoying the songs I do end up liking. For the rest of you who are enjoying the music whether or not you like it 100% and are not being toxic, you're the only reason I keep coming back LOL. Love you guys... Anyway, rant over, enjoy the song guys. If you can.. ❤️ 10 1 Quote
Surprise Surprise Posted July 3, 2026 at 02:35 AM Posted July 3, 2026 at 02:35 AM I agree with you 100%. But you know what? Let's focus on the positive. Those of us who enjoy the song should just enjoy it and interact with the people who are on the same wavelength. We've already given the others too much attention, and that's probably exactly what they want, so it's better to ignore them. At first, I wasn't that impressed by the song either, but hearing it in better quality really changes the experience. But now I love it more and more with every listen. ❤️ I still have two more hours to wait before it's available in my country! 😊 4 Quote

manolo19 Posted July 3, 2026 at 03:06 AM Posted July 3, 2026 at 03:06 AM (edited) Ok I kinda like BPM. It's cinematic, luminous, and it carries her spirit and essence. My biggest complaint , though, remains the same as always is her pronunciation and some of the vocal mannerisms that have become stupid habits. Every time I listen to a new release, I find myself hoping she won't lean into those vocal ticks and unfortunately, she does it all over here 😔 That said, I'm not going to let that spoil my enjoyment of the song. The composition itself is beautiful... It's just a shame that those vocal choices end up overshadowing the song's strengths. With a key change, a bigger climax, richer harmonic development, and a more natural pronunciation especially on words like 'peur', 'poème' and 'encore'. This could have been truly epic. As others have pointed out, just a few production and vocal adjustments could have elevated the song but the pronunciation is what Makes It hard to listen.
