I think it definitely IS in the cards ,remember she was in studio in Boston a couple months ago, but I think she was just giving an example… she could’ve substituted live shows in there just as easily.

I’m excited too but I just don’t think it was an “Easter egg” however I think something is eventually coming. Probably a French album.

Did anyone notice when she said about a new album? Was it a hint. She said something like … “what am I going to do? Come out with a new album after four years and not acknowledge what happened”. Might be nothing but the fact she mentioned new album is promising don’t you think?

I think she was just simply saying that it wouldn’t be right for her to just come out with a new album after going public with her disease and not addressing it directly upon her return, after being silent for so long. Like it would be a slap in the face to just come back and say “hey, buy my new music!” I don’t think an album is out of the question, but I don’t think it’s coming any time soon. Her main focus is getting back on stage.

She has a French interview lined up, she is already involved in the Olympics, Hoda emphasised how Celine is the best selling French-language artist of all time, and it has already been 8 years without a French release. Importantly, Celine always wants to go back to her roots when things get real. I do not think it was a coincidence she did a Francophone tour in 2016 right after Rene died, released EUS, and performed even more songs of this album in the 2017 tour. Not to mention, that live performances of 'Je T'aime Encore' and 'Si C'etait A Refaire' were absolute highlights.

 

Time will tell of course! But if anyone wants to bet, I am up for it!

I cannot believe it’s been 8 years since her last French album! It’s exciting to being able to think albums are a possibility now.

I meant in the capacity of how many shows she was always doing. Celine knows she can't work as hard as she used to, and there certainly won't be as many shows. She's beyond determined to get back on the stage, for sure.

 

Yes, I hope she will only do as much as she needs in order to get her rush from performing, her money, selfishly our dose of Céline, but only as much as she can safely sustain. However, it seems Céline’s idea of fewer shows means 3 per week, 3 days rest, then 3 shows again; instead of the 5 per week she allegedly used to do (though I believe that was only during A New Day…). Would be great if it could safely endure such a schedule. But then there’s also that moment in the interview when she goes “I can’t wait to work too hard [again]”, although I don’t think she meant it literally.

First, I feel very bad for complaining her voice got more and more nasal.

So COVID kind of saved her life, if she kept doing the courage tour as scheduled, she could be the next Michael Jackson.

I am glad it looks like she is getting better everyday, and she is getting control of her own life. I’m ready for her whenever she feels ready.

Just finished watching it.

Pfff I feel bad for complaining on her live voice sometimes.

 

I can't imagine her dealing with this for so long. And all the sinus infection cancelations were just a cover up because they didn't had a clue what was going on.

 

Also, I'm amazed that she is surrounded by a team that she can trust.

In all those years there hasn't been any leak!

 

After watching the part where she talked about the Valium she took, I think she/we got lucky that Covid happend.

With a massive world tour, and a Vegas residency full on medicine, we could have had a tragedy like Michael/Whitney/Prince

Not to mention, that this was probably during filming before the subject of the documentary pivoted to her dealing with SPS. Irene probably didn't even know at the time that Celine was sick and then to see this happen without any warning would absolutely be traumatizing.

In 2019, she was very, very thin and burned out. Side effects of Valium can include muscle weakness and gastrointestinal problems.Thank God, COVID gave her a break.

 

She did have some very big muscles though, in late 2019/early 2020.

I actually don’t agree with that. I know Céline has said multiple times that her French songs are not about the vocals and that it’s more toned down but, to my ears, that doesn’t seem to be the case at all. Some of her most difficult songs vocally are in French and, on average, I wouldn’t say that her French repertoire is any easier or less “belty” than its English counterpart. People forget just how many “easy” English songs she has and how extremely demanding some of her biggest French hits are.

Went back and was reading some of the posts from the Courage World tour before it was shut down and all the times people were saying she sounded amazing I now wonder was she just completely using Valium to get through these shows and sound good. Heartbreaking to think that. Can't even fathom what she was going through at this time and everyone thinking she was so happy. Also how many more tour dates she had to go I agree with others that not sure she would have made it out of this tour alive.

I don’t remember her ever falling in 2019. On the contrary, she was doing those awesome jumps/lunges at the beginning of “You’re the Voice” and the bend at the end of TLBSEPT. Truly extraordinary SPS or not. And her legs were really muscular too.

Wonder that too when she talked about the time basically having a spasm on way to a M &G. And was out for over 2 hrs. Still wonder when that was.
