Interview Hoda Kotb and Céline - NBC NEWS EXCLUSIVE

So there, the "manager" was indeed one of the "Johns" from AEG. Probably John Meglen.

this has been the most sincere, insightful interview with 100% new content and questions EVER.

When Hoda asked her to finish the sentence "I am...", that was so sad! The interview itself was not that sad, however, you could feel her energy. Another thing, the documentary, this is going to be DARK. cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

Wow. That was a really good interview. I expected a lot of the usual Celine platitudes but this was a different level of honesty and thoughtfulness from her. She didn't resort to her usual go-to answers. (Though she did burst out in song!) She's clearly driven to get back on stage but she's also being realistic about it and sounds like she won't be pushing herself quite like she did before (certainly a good thing, when it borders on being physically dangerous!) So I've been crying for the last 15 minutes or so, I got an asthma attack stressing out watching it...ugh...I crying, because I'm terrified, because I'm sad, because I feel so bad for Celine and her family and because I'm happy to see her so strong 🥺🥺🥺 She's been my idol, my role model as a human being a teacher of life for more than 20 years now, but from now on it has an enormously bigger meaning. She is a hero for me, for you guys and for so many people around the world. I love Celine, I really do ❤️❤️❤️ It's good to see that she's happy and in charge of her life again

It will...I know it will be hard to watch, especially the bits they spoke about. However, if Celine is so strong and driven, I'll be strong and driven too 🔥

Also, I hope all the critics of hers over the year, who reductively called her "milquetoast" or a manufactured pop star with no depth or some such, see this and the doc and learn the error of their ways! She's so going to have the last laugh.

or all the aholes, including some on this forum, saying her career was over and even speculating what her course of treatment was. I have to say, some of you were absolutely ridiculous over the last 2 years.

Now, I remember when Celine was joking around before when she was doing the speech in her tours.

Remember where she jokingly mimics walking in a walker?

“Near.. Far.. where ever you are… you gotta be there!!”

I think this is the time.

Learn and the next time they want to judge someone, they should THINK TWICE. You never know what's behind the scenes

Omg! Hands-down, one of the most, if not the most personal interview I’ve ever seen from her. This documentary is going to be intense. Can’t wait to watch what I missed of the interview, I missed quite a bit of the first 15 minutes or so

If she was taking that much Valium to get through a show, the pandemic saved her life. Chilling to think about.

Yeah and where’s the “vaxxed?” crowd now? 🙄

No, see my earlier post. John Nelson.

So after all Nelson IS her manager… just not the Nelson we thought 🤣

So where can I watch it from Germany?

I'll tell you what, the past two weeks I've seen two articles by Rolling Stone all exclusively about Céline. If the zeitgeist hasn't shifted, I don't know what has.

Oh my god you’re right. I was just thinking any time before this she could have ODed and the public would have had just such an unimaginably opposite story from the truth too.

Now i feel bad for complaining that she sounded more nasal in the last 2 decades…

Yeah… I feel bad for complaining about how shot her voice was from 2018-2020 especially. We all just thought she was pushing herself too hard and doing too many shows. Which, to be fair, she WAS pushing herself and doing too many shows, but there was more to the story than that.

I thought her voice sounded so lovely when she sang during the interview. Maybe she can’t belt full-volume, but I’d still pay to see her sing “How Did I Get Here” — even if she let the backup singers carry the crazy high notes!
