I hope manager for the RW aspect of her career, not overall manager? The last thing she needs is a manager whose primary interest is making money off her (for AEG, for himself as manager, and, lastly, for Celine and her welfare, in that order). That's like having your dealer manage your drug sobriety program. I'm already side-eyeing how René, knowing full well all her health issues behind the scenes, yet still subjected her to such harrowing performance schedules for years.

 

Haven't seen Hoda's special yet, but finding out tidbits via the previews that it's worse than we thought, am I the only one upset and confused (and tbh slightly pissed off) about the she will return even if she has to crawl comment? If it's not hyperbolic fluff talk and is actually serious (and I'm leaning towards she's serious, in light of her admitted addiction to performing and fan adoration), you talk about breaking ribs, needing chairs to walk from pt a to pt b, superdosing Vallium, be in so much pain and had to endure so much to get through performances, and you say this.. baby, have you not learned the first time around?? How does this make sense... it's either something is not accurate, or it's all true and worse and everyone is on-board the insanity with her having the most to lose. Scratch that, her kids having the most to lose. If I were her doctor, I'd put a kibosh on that. Casual side projects, sure. Others that would be more taxing, no. It would be interesting if the docu includes her doctors' reflections, but I doubt they'd put that in.

Hoda said she’s trying to figure out her new normal, so I take that to mean “how do I maintain a career that gives me what I need but without harming myself”. I think this may be preparation for her saying “you’re going to see me, but a whole heck of a lot less than you’re used to”.

100% agree. I hope this may mean she can focus on other projects that maybe aren't as taxing on a daily basis. Acting is hard, but I can see her doing more acting especially since there's a bit more flexibility to be on or off set. Some writing and directing would be great. But most of all, I hope she does what she wants to do and not just because she feels she has an obligation to her fans.

Holy… holy crap man, how on Earth has All of this been going on without her barely batting an eyelid from our perspective. Oh my god. The… 10 impeccable concerts I watched… how on earth woman. I can’t even imagine. I thought I respected this woman before and now my heart is breaking from her strength.

I'm looking back at concerts 4-9 and boy... phew... things are starting to add up big time. All the times I thought that Celine had overdone it the concert before and was just trying to get through... she was trying to get through... but because of SPS. I'm heartbroken for all the crap I gave her, especially after the TC Columbus and Atlanta concerts I went to.

WOW!!!!!!!!!

 

I am just AMAZED with everything she has gone through all these years with dealing with SPS - & the worst part was going through it WITHOUT A DIAGNOSIS!! Not knowing what this illness was for SEVERAL YEARS had to be heartbreaking for her!!

 

& with everything she is going through, I think we should just be PROUD & GRATEFUL for everything she has done in the past, & also BE GRATEFUL SHES STILL WITH US through it all!! I will support her no matter what happens next & I'm hoping & praying for the bestest of luck & happiness for her!! ❤

I actually don’t think I can watch this documentary. I cannot deal with watching this incredible woman, whom I always imagined had an incredible life so worthy of the incredible way she lived it, break like that. I can’t.
