Neat idea. However she doensn't perform Ashes anymore and there's something fishy about that. My guess is that there has probably been an argument about money where her team refused to agree to some new terms hense dropping it all together (not sure if these things occur, people who have better knowledge how things work feel free to comment). It would be a very natural part of the tour. To me it's quite evident something has happened.

 

Don't mean to be a Debbie Downer here but maybe we shouldn't expect more performances than TP? I mean so we wont get disapointed.

I'm just grateful she's well. She was so exposed... still doing concerts here in New York in early/mid March when this thing was already going rampant but just before we started locking things down. Lots of asymptomatic spreading was going on around NYC in that week. She was out there high-fiving, hugging, autograph-signing, selfie-posing, meet-and-greeting with hundreds of people, including at Barclays Center, where many tested positive just days later and they had to do a massive deep-clean of the place.

For a career singer, who relies so much on her lungs, a severe respiratory illness like this could easily be a career killer.

So glad she's OK.

I’ve thought of her because of that as well as myself. I was at all 3 of those Barclays Center show as well as the first Newark show. NYC shut down one week later. I’ve been quarantined in my apt praying I don’t show any symptoms. Now that it’s been over a month Celine and I should both be safe from those exposures at least!

She always does it with new songs, they never last more than a year in her concerts. Love Me Back To Life, How Does A Moment Last Forever, Ashes... Recovering was the only one that out lasted the 1 year curse, but that song obviously had and still has deep meaning to her

Wow. This is quite a surprise. Celine isn't just singing, she's doing a multi duet! Amazing. I can't wait. I have a feeling this will be the big highlight of the night, not only for Celine fans but for the public and media interest as well!

It’s only 2 hours long. I guarantee you most people won’t be tuning in for the 6 hour internet-only portion. And, if they are, it will be a completely different demographic than watches the two hour televised portion. (That may be on the internet also, I don’t know. I’ll just watch the 2 hours on my TV on NBC or ABC.)

But Ashes was different coz it was her first "hit" in ages with somewhat viral music video. It could almost deserve to be added to her canon of standards. She used this song to promote the tour on both Kimmel and the Ace Hotel event (with hauntigly beautiful intros). Kinda makes you think it would be in the tour right?

 

People were thinking “will it be on the new album or not“. Tour starts then BAM nowhere to be found. I think there must be another reason than "oh the time span for this song ran out, domage!"

How are all you complainers overlooking the sheer fact that Céline will be singing with some of the biggest stars in the world? You couldn’t ask for a better tie-in.

 

Think of all the people who have still never heard “The Prayer” who are now going to start streaming the original version!! The more traffic she gets on her streaming pages, the more chances people will seek out her newer music. This might end up being the best exposure she’s had (for her music) since “Ashes”.

 

And as far as ensemble performances go, I can’t think of a single one where she didn’t shine (I happen to love the performance of “Earth Song”). Remember World Children’s Day? When she came out on stage at the last minute and absolutely decimated the song? Obviously it’s not 2002, but my point is that it’s not the quantity of time she gets but the quality of her performance. You should know that by now, guys. Yeesh, I’m starting to think CD fans are the biggest cry babies in all of diva fandom. PULL IT TOGETHER!!!
