New Las Vegas residency show!

The disease seems very sudden doesn't it. I keep stupidly thinking it's a misdiagnosis! Silly I know. But we hope. How can a super fit person suddenly be like this.

 

All diseases would seem sudden. One day you wake up and something is different, while of course there were small, subtle changes going on within your body to build up to that point.

 

Take ALS for example, an even scarier diagnsosis than what Celine has. They aren't sure what causes it, or what the cure is. Environmental and genetic factors just converge randomly one day. According to Wikipedia: most cases of ALS (about 90% to 95%) have no known cause, and are known as sporadic ALS.

"For those who know" hmm I wonder who the sources are.

 

Gosh, I desperately hope she can get back to doing what she loves. Even if she has to drastically perform how she presents her shows, or how she sings. Watching these videos, especially from the 80s and 90s...the passion for what she does just oozes out of her.

In other tweets last year, this man was speculating about Céline’s coming back on Stage at RW in late 2022 (which clearly didn’t happen).

However, this time, the words “from those who know” really had me WTF?!?

Seems odd to start in October (there's only two shows in Finland), but if you add the two tweets together...maybe there is some hope?

Everything should be taken with a grain of salt, but John Katsolimetes is generally pretty well-informed on anything that happens in Vegas. If I'm not mistaken, he was the first to talk about the Resorts World residency, almost a year before it was officially announced.

Yes the October thing is weird. Only 2 shows in Oct. Would they bother rehearsing and getting all the gear on the road again for 2 shows. Shelve those along with the rest (if that is the plan) and come back March refreshed and totally ready.

 

If it’s true could it suggest she’s only leaving a recuperation period at the end of September? Seems odd that they know she’d be good for October but not September. Perhaps there needs to be a certain amount of time pass following treatment.

 

I don’t think it would be wise to announce October onward continuing if it is so close to the wire. Anything could happen health wise.

I don’t want to get my hopes high and then get extremely disappointed when Céline might announce she’s not doing better at all.

However, I want to be positive that, if not this year, we’re going to see Céline again on stage sooner or later.

Nah, that was Scott Roeben of Vital Vegas.

John seems to have made such statements in the past based solely on existing tour dates so I’m trying not to get my hopes up. But, he has had Céline scoops in the past (like, of course, that great phone interview with her a few years back).

Good lawyers would have some type of contract clauses that have issues related to sickness and illness and or death that would release her. Doctors and insurance likely involved too. A disease like hers in our every day world would mean long term disability for most of us. She likely has this in her touring contract too.

Well, he's several days late to the house sale news, and doesn't sound like he actually has much actual intel...

And he has predicted her return multiple times in the past. In '22... and '23... now we're on to '24.

I know it takes some time to prepare new shows.

Of course they had planned Vegas before the whole tour even started.

 

But with the knowledge now, even if it was just for Covid, she got a demanding schedule.

It's either the tour, or Vegas. But something tells me that Vegas needs to be pushed through whatever it takes.

(with her health now it may seem the best choice ever) but if it wasn't for her health, the Vegas schedule is pushing everything aside. As always.

My god they can’t postpone the aug - oct shows again? The number of people opting to keep their tickets will be very low. It’ll be 5 years since the tickets went on sale.

 

Of course if that does happen and she’s well enough to perform the shows next year they’ll sell out again when people see she’s back on form and the tour has resumed.

I’m going say her team is downright delusional at this point rescheduling a tour AGAIN. It’s downright insane if we get that announcement.
