Popular Post stevo Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:19 AM Popular Post Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:19 AM Heart broken to hear her and see her like this. They should just cancel the tour and let her recuperate and rest without the pressure of it all. 12 Quote
DionFanAlways Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:22 AM Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:22 AM (edited) It's wonderful to see her but at what point do you say I'm canceling the tour. Edited December 8, 2022 at 10:24 AM by DionFanAlways 1 Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.
No1IrishFan Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:23 AM Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:23 AM That was hard to watch. I’m honestly shocked that they aren’t cancelling. Didn’t think another reschedule would happen. It must be either the money needed to refund tickets or her contract, maybe both. 1 Quote
Del Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:23 AM Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:23 AM That was a difficult video to watch her announce the rescheduling, parts cancelled and advising the diagnosis of the neurological disease , stiff person syndrome, which has been causing all her issues. Which I'm sure it's not an easy decision I think it would be best to cancel the entire tour and then just concentrate on her health to get better. I know she's a perfectionist at all she does and she needs to take the time she needs. Sent from my SM-G965W using Tapatalk 2 Quote Instagram: @delphis78
maki_Dion-er Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:24 AM Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:24 AM This hurt a lot to see and hear. If it's such a rare illness then it's no wonder they're struggling to find a treatment. She says she's getting better slowly but now I'm fearful that she's just saying that to be positive. I don't think Courage will be going on in 2024. We know she's a strong-willed person and I just hope that she puts aside any stress of fulfilling any contracts. If worst comes to happen and there's no cure for this I hope they find someway to at least control it so she can continue to do the things she loves in some capacity. Even if she doesn't perform live again. I feel so bad for her (& us as fans). 4 Quote
Popular Post Davey84 Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:37 AM Popular Post Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:37 AM my heart aches for her so much!!! I don't think anyone of us saw this coming. She is such a perfectionist and it hurts me to see her dreams shattering before her and ours eyes... I wonder if she will ever be able to sing like she used to. I really doubt it. I hope she can find a way to live with this decease and somehow does find a way to perform for us. She clearly showed how much she loves singing and performing for us... We b*tch a lot about recent choices, what could be done differently, should have been done differently... but the truth it, we will never know how it's like to "be" Céline Dion. The pressure, the assumptions, the responsibilities, the expectations that comes along with that. At this point I just want to hug her and tell her everything is going to be alright. 9 Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

I think we all need to take a moment to really think deeply and compassionately about the situation. From what I've just read, Stiff Person Syndrome is a serious, progressive, disabling condition that often leads to complete loss of both mobility and speech. It is a terminal condition with no known cure, and is associated with reduced lifespan. This is on the same level of seriousness as Parkinsons or MS, except that due to its rarity there are far fewer resources available. This is the battle of Celine's life. I think she has rescheduled, rather than canceled, out of her own sheer will and determination -- which is, as we know, superhuman. But we need to prepare for the seeming inevitability that these shows will not be rescheduled again, and that she will get worse, and will never perform again. We should focus all of our energy 1000% into sending her our love and support. And the number one topic of discussion here should be how we do that. manu23 Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:38 AM Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:38 AM I can't believe she is being so unlucky. I've been reading about this illness and it can't be cured, everything doctors can do is make life easier for people suffering it but it just gets worst over time. Really sad for her. Quote

No1IrishFan Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:41 AM Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:41 AM The fact remains that she may never perform again. There is no cure and it’s about managing symptoms. I feel so bad for her. 2 Quote

I don't understand how they keep postponing the tour and giving us the SPS information at the same time. Cancel the damn whole thing and let Celine get better! 4 Quote

AdrienneM Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:57 AM Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:57 AM My heart is completely broken. It’s never something I thought I’d have to say or acknowledge, but it will likely be the case that Celine will never perform again. A chronic, degenerative disease will not improve over the course of the year since she initially made postponements and it now all becomes clear. The silence, the postponements, everything… it’s totally heartbreaking and I just hope and pray that regardless of what happens down the line, that we all love her and always will. Quote
CelineDionFreak Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:59 AM Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:59 AM My goodness. That was a lot to watch. I feel so bad for her! I would say I’m surprised, but I’m glad she is taking the time to fully recooperate. As far as her prognosis goes, I fully understand how debilitating neurological conditions are. One of my closest family members has been dealing with ongoing neurological issues for over 10 years, and while we have seen drastic improvement, it’s still not the same as it once was. So it really is just learning to live with the symptoms and just adapting life to the harsh realities it can impose. I just wonder why she didn’t cancel the shows. I’m lucky that I saw her about a month before it all went crashing down with the pandemic. I hate that everyone who wanted to see her has a chance they probably won’t. I know just wonder if there’s a chance for her to return. I guess we will just have to see what time can do to address the issues at hand. I’m really hoping she can go on in august, but we will just have to see. 1 Quote I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!Le temps qui compte pour Celine est maintenant!

Davey84 Posted December 8, 2022 at 11:05 AM Posted December 8, 2022 at 11:05 AM https://www.dailymai...n-Syndrome.html This really annoys me though! "The 54-year-old singer addressed her fans in a tearful Instagram post on Thursday as she revealed it has forced her to cancel her European tour." For now there are dates still meant to go on, dates that are postponed to 2024 and 8 shows cancelled, not a cancellation of the full tour. Shamrock_1982 Posted December 8, 2022 at 11:05 AM Posted December 8, 2022 at 11:05 AM (edited) My aunt has this disease and she went from being fit and healthy to this. She’s had it for about 4 years and the drugs she’s on made her put on weight and unfortunately she’s now in a wheel chair. Not sure how bad Celine’s is, but I’m amazed they have rescheduled the tour rather than cancel it for now. She has the best doctors on the planet so I’m hopeful, but also knowing someone who has this disease I’m also fearful! Edited December 8, 2022 at 11:08 AM by Shamrock_1982 Quote

We can't even imagine what she has been doing behind the scenes to fight this disease. She may be undergoing some really experimental treatment and is throwing everything she has -- money included -- into finding a cure. I don't know if, after reading everything I've just read, I have that kind of hope, too. But it's just incredibly inspiring to see such a strong person refuse to give up in the face of such overwhelming odds. I don't think she's ever going to cancel the tour. Let her reschedule it every year for the rest of her life if that's what keeps giving her hope. And let's not give up either; save the date, keep the promise, don't lose hope. I sincerely hope there can be hope on the horizon. Like I said, with one of my closest family members deal with similar symptoms, it’s just not easy. But with time, we have learned to make the best of it. Medically, they’re having breakthroughs all the time, so I do believe there is a good chance Celine can knock a good bit of this to the curb. I just think she’s probably going to be living with this, unfortunately, for the rest of her life in some capacity. I just hope and pray she’s feeling better every day. I have hope that we will once again see her and hear her sing again.
