The hundreds of thousands of people that have waited and waited won’t wait forever and might not be willing to risk the frustration again. I hope the bubble of positive public opinion for her doesn’t completely burst but it defo hasn’t been good for her lately 6 Quote

The hundreds of thousands of people that have waited and waited won't wait forever and might not be willing to risk the frustration again. I hope the bubble of positive public opinion for her doesn't completely burst but it defo hasn't been good for her lately No doubt. That only adds to the extreme pressure already there on her tiny shoulders (from thousands of ticket holders, but also all the people she employs). And there's also the financial strain - who knows what the insurance policies were for these shows, but at this point I'm sure she and all those involved will have to eat some of the losses. And let's not forget she settled that ICM case so in all likelihood had to pay out to ICM for arranging, among other things, this very tour and ongoing Vegas commitment. 1 Quote
Celinelife Posted April 26, 2022 at 03:42 PM Posted April 26, 2022 at 03:42 PM A fan asked her guitarist Kaven about this , i.e, Courage World Tour..He said, "Sorry, I have no idea whatsoever" Quote
homerton Posted April 26, 2022 at 03:52 PM Posted April 26, 2022 at 03:52 PM Rene would not have let this happen. Celine is the boss. Now get a grip and communicate with the fans who have given you the lifestyle you have. Sorry feel very cross about this. It’s a shambles !!!! 4 Quote
CelineDionFreak Posted April 26, 2022 at 03:55 PM Posted April 26, 2022 at 03:55 PM Perhaps it was a scheduled announcement and it was deleted for some other reason? We will know if she reposts it here soon if they just were waiting to announce it again. It’s just a shame for her, was looking forward to Vegas again this fall. But with her probably postponing the tour, I’m not too hopeful she will return anytime soon. 1 Quote I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!Le temps qui compte pour Celine est maintenant!

I said this whole situation is a financial strain on the production which further adds to the stress, and she seems to have a condition that in many cases is at least partially stress-induced. And it doesn't help that she came out that ICM mess with egg on her face and debts to pay. If true then it's not happening. If he genuinely didn't know that's even worse ! Yeah, it's one thing to not communicate to the masses until you have a clear message, but to not communicate with your team? Ouch. Edited April 26, 2022 at 04:35 PM by scielle 1 Quote

What’s Kaven to say anyways, if he knows it’s canceled or if he knows it’s going on… he has to play dumb… I’m sure even the idiots in charge of her team wouldn’t be happy if the guitarist with the white as white teeth makes the announcement. Nmj Posted April 26, 2022 at 04:51 PM Posted April 26, 2022 at 04:51 PM You're exaggerating I’m not exaggerating, i live by the mantra… if you can’t do something worthwhile then why do it at all. Her social media pages if you didn’t know better look like the pages of Micheal Jackson, and Whitney Houston…. Two DEAD legends, all fine and dandy if she joins that club one day but for now she’s still alive. Her team is incompetent and doesn’t know how to do basic damage control and give info to money paying fans. Her career has been suffering since Renè passed and she fired Aldo. She doesn’t care anymore which would be fine if money of the fans wasn’t involved. 3 Quote
mirage Posted April 26, 2022 at 05:09 PM Posted April 26, 2022 at 05:09 PM Thanks for that ICM case we know a bit more about those deals. But the amount of shows she has in those contracts must be killing. Without covid and her cancelations (vegas/tour) she already would had fulfilled a lot of them I guess. No doubt. That only adds to the extreme pressure already there on her tiny shoulders (from thousands of ticket holders, but also all the people she employs). And there's also the financial strain - who knows what the insurance policies were for these shows, but at this point I'm sure she and all those involved will have to eat some of the losses. But the amount of shows she has in those contracts must be killing. Without covid and her cancelations (vegas/tour) she already would had fulfilled a lot of them I guess. Well that’s the thing. She now has to actually deliver on all of that, and thanks to Covid and her health issues, is nowhere near being able to meet those obligations. And now that she doesn’t have Rene there to say “tout va etre correct” and carry that stress for her, I’m sure it’s not helping her health, physical and mental. 1 Quote
brendanm999 Posted April 26, 2022 at 05:20 PM Posted April 26, 2022 at 05:20 PM (edited) Omg!! It looks like the European tour has been postponed to 2023!!! It seems the message has now been deleted from facebook... But I'm sure the official announcement from Céline will come later today damnit! I feel sorry Céline is still feeling ill, but i also very sorry for having to wait yet another year till we can finally see her again This was posted by Greenhouse Talent, promoter in Belgium. I think there's an embargo on it, until cd.com posts the announcement. Here's the other screenshot i took, text is in Dutch though. Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G781B met Tapatalk There's a 3rd show in Antwerp on September 6 that was announced after the initial 2 shows. I find it strange that both posts are only listing the 2 original dates. Taking these with a grain of salt until we hear more, although I know Greenhouse Talent is very credible as a promoter. Alex_Incognito Posted April 26, 2022 at 05:21 PM Posted April 26, 2022 at 05:21 PM It's interesting. Many of us speculated Celine would stop working after we lost Rene but nobody forsaw that she'd burn herself out because she no longer was just the performer that had to go on and perform, she now sees so much more of what's behind the curtain. I wonder what went sour with Aldo---was it that he wasn't Rene? The whole "C'est moi le boss" shtick got old and I fear it's piled much more stress on her. 4 Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990
joaofilho Posted April 26, 2022 at 05:33 PM Posted April 26, 2022 at 05:33 PM Without a manager she takes care of everything, every detail and decision, this causes stress to the artist who is still committed to performing well. She could have stayed with Aldo, and yes, in the end, she would also decide on everything, but he would go ahead to schedule things and pass it on to him.I don't know what could have gone wrong, but when Aldo joined, a lot changed, she was everywhere, on TV, in the media, he did a good job.I still think she needs a manager, and now I don't even know anymore, everything in her career now looks like a mess.I am worried and upset by the lack of news. Shaun Posted April 26, 2022 at 05:36 PM Posted April 26, 2022 at 05:36 PM If this turns out to be true it’s very VERY poor that fans didn’t hear about it directly from Celine / TeamCeline first before it appeared anywhere else. 2 Quote Bringing you the world's only Celine Dion podcast show since 2014.Find us on Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts, Spotify & Amazon Music.

Huh? She has a manager. Two, in fact.Dave and Denis have been her managers since she fired Aldo. Now, if you want to debate their competence in that role, that's another matter. P.S. Though amusing going back to that news from Feb 2018 now, with Dave referred to as a "marketing maven". Sure doesn't feel like it now, does it... Edited April 26, 2022 at 05:53 PM by scielle Quote

Well, Denis has ironclad job security. He's the only one who truly knows the skeletons in her lip-synch closet, so parting on less-than-perfect terms with him would be a risk for her. Note he, not Dave, is the director and signatory on all her company filings (along with Celine). As for Dave... I don't know. Security of the familiar, I guess? Aldo was new, maybe she just felt more comfortable with someone who's been around for a couple decades. Who knows. 2 Quote
Shamrock_1982 Posted April 26, 2022 at 06:56 PM Posted April 26, 2022 at 06:56 PM (edited) They have all signed contracts in terms of security and what they can and can’t disclose just like the bodyguards, so trust me she ain’t worried about that! Some new faces, with a fresh modern approach with ideas, and drive, not old guys stuck in their old ways, who can no longer get it into drive! Everyone has their sell by date and theirs expired long ago and it stinks. Edited April 26, 2022 at 07:09 PM by Shamrock_1982 3 Quote
Dancing_Queen Posted April 26, 2022 at 07:08 PM Posted April 26, 2022 at 07:08 PM If they postpone everything, then I'm not sure of she's any better at all tbh. If she was truly on the mend, wouldn't they postpone dates until early July and then aim for a late August return? I guess this means another year of radio silence. What a truly depressing thought 😔 2 Quote
