No doubt. That only adds to the extreme pressure already there on her tiny shoulders (from thousands of ticket holders, but also all the people she employs).

And there's also the financial strain - who knows what the insurance policies were for these shows, but at this point I'm sure she and all those involved will have to eat some of the losses. And let's not forget she settled that ICM case so in all likelihood had to pay out to ICM for arranging, among other things, this very tour and ongoing Vegas commitment.

Rene would not have let this happen. Celine is the boss. Now get a grip and communicate with the fans who have given you the lifestyle you have. Sorry feel very cross about this. It’s a shambles !!!!

Perhaps it was a scheduled announcement and it was deleted for some other reason? We will know if she reposts it here soon if they just were waiting to announce it again. It’s just a shame for her, was looking forward to Vegas again this fall. But with her probably postponing the tour, I’m not too hopeful she will return anytime soon.

Not sure I believe this. Her team are not about to share info when a) it could change and B ) it’s not out there. Her band may be on socials but they’re employees too, and like so many employees there is only so much you can say.

I’m not exaggerating, i live by the mantra… if you can’t do something worthwhile then why do it at all. Her social media pages if you didn’t know better look like the pages of Micheal Jackson, and Whitney Houston…. Two DEAD legends, all fine and dandy if she joins that club one day but for now she’s still alive. Her team is incompetent and doesn’t know how to do basic damage control and give info to money paying fans. Her career has been suffering since Renè passed and she fired Aldo. She doesn’t care anymore which would be fine if money of the fans wasn’t involved.

Well that’s the thing. She now has to actually deliver on all of that, and thanks to Covid and her health issues, is nowhere near being able to meet those obligations.

And now that she doesn’t have Rene there to say “tout va etre correct” and carry that stress for her, I’m sure it’s not helping her health, physical and mental.

There's a 3rd show in Antwerp on September 6 that was announced after the initial 2 shows. I find it strange that both posts are only listing the 2 original dates. Many of us speculated Celine would stop working after we lost Rene but nobody forsaw that she'd burn herself out because she no longer was just the performer that had to go on and perform, she now sees so much more of what's behind the curtain. I wonder what went sour with Aldo---was it that he wasn't Rene? The whole "C'est moi le boss" shtick got old and I fear it's piled much more stress on her.

Well, Denis has ironclad job security. He's the only one who truly knows the skeletons in her lip-synch closet, so parting on less-than-perfect terms with him would be a risk for her. Note he, not Dave, is the director and signatory on all her company filings (along with Celine).

 

As for Dave... I don't know. Security of the familiar, I guess? Aldo was new, maybe she just felt more comfortable with someone who's been around for a couple decades. Who knows.

They have all signed contracts in terms of security and what they can and can’t disclose just like the bodyguards, so trust me she ain’t worried about that!

 

Some new faces, with a fresh modern approach with ideas, and drive, not old guys stuck in their old ways, who can no longer get it into drive!

 

Everyone has their sell by date and theirs expired long ago and it stinks.
