Anything more from your sources? They got that announcement date wrong unless something changed?

They don’t know if they need a s*** or a hair cut lately mate!

Well, French press, too, is getting antsy. Though they take the silence to mean everything going ahead as planned.

"Mais à un mois du début de la tournée, aucune information supplémentaire n’a été dévoilée. Signe que le spectacle devrait reprendre ses droits comme prévu."

I always felt with Celine’s team and the label it was almost like the phrase, of the “blind trying to lead the blind”.

It’s simply not acceptable to not be saying a word. People have plans. Now either pull it or let us know. My gut is saying it’s pulled. We’ve seen nothing but a Ukraine video. I suspect we may not see celine for a long time. She may even have retired. We do however need to know.

I agree that Celine’s team should confirm - in some way - that the shows are moving forward. It could be something very simple - like a rehearsal photo with the caption “See you soon!”

Ideally, Celine herself will re-emerge with a little interview - where she talks about how she’s stronger now and ready to get back onstage.

But, again, a simple post from Team Celine would do the trick.

The only thing we have is her message for the Ukraine but as a singer and the business that is Celine Dion as a brand - commercially - because tickets need to be sold, they do (almost) nothing! And that is really strange for a show that is about to start in just a few months time

Less than a few months, barley a month.

Kev, what could they announce?

“The scheduled shows are still scheduled to go ahead”??

The fact they haven’t announced cancellations is a good thing. It would be very unusual to announce they’re going ahead when in fact they’re already scheduled to be going ahead.

They could announce that they are excited to be back on the road next month…. Something…. Anything.

We have spent money for tickets that we paid for years ago! The least they could do is confirm it’s going ahead. Do we get excited for something we paid for or not? Are we going be to let down at the last minute?

It’s terrible customer service…. At the end of the day, we are customers that have paid for a product/service. I haven’t spent my money in a gambling shop waiting to see if there is a pay off! I’m really getting annoyed now at their lack of consideration for the fans. We have waited and we have waited.

It’s rude and it’s inconsiderate!

I’m not even going to this tour and I’m so angry for fans left in limbo, so close to when it’s supposed to happen and having been through so many postponements and recently cancellations.

We know she hasn’t been well and have sympathy as she’s human, but she’s also a brand/product that people have invested in and invested in this tour years ago and they still have these people’s money when we are in a world now where prices to live has skyrocketed many lost their jobs over the pandemic, people watching every penny and just want to know if it’s happening as something to look forward to and escape for a few hours at her show, or if they can have their money back towards energy bills and to put food on the table.

She and her team seem so out of touch in recent years and fans deserve more of a heads up, it’s not much to ask, it’s common decency!

But the shows are scheduled to happen. They haven’t been cancelled.

So why assume they’re cancelled until you’re told they are on? I’m assuming they’re on until I’m told they’re cancelled.

TeamCeline could announce tomorrow “getting excited Europe, see you soon” and then in 3 weeks Celine could get ill again and scrap the tour anyway.

A “going ahead” announcement today has no bearing on what’ll happen a month from now.

I booked my hotel and train tickets for the London shows today. It’s getting to the point where the early bird deals are starting to run out. For anyone interested it’s Comicon at the Excel Centre at the same time as the concerts and many hotels in the Greenwich area are either fully booked or now charging silly prices.

I’m on holiday for 2 weeks (booked before she announced the new dates) and get back on the 28th May so it’s going to be a busy weekend for me that week. If she does cancel I will be glad to have a rest in a nice hotel room.

In some way you are right that an early announcement is no garant that the tour will happen for real. But here it's all about setting the mood. The people who have tickets (including me) want that sign from her team, to really looking forward to and relax a bit. One has to keep in mind this time, it's completely different than ever in the past, when shows were right around the corner. Of course I'm assuming that the tour will go on because I barely have a choice, but now they have to realise that they have to do someting, give us something. Otherwise it could be that many people don't come because it's too late for them to book flights and hotels which they can pay... and it could become negative press for Celine at some point, because of bad promotion/social-press-interacting from her team... Shaun it’s the least they could do! Are you seriously saying that what they are doing is correct? Of course fans are going to be worried. She cancelled Vegas due to her health and the least they could do is say if the tour is going ahead or not. If they don’t know by this point then it should be cancelled.

This is not a normal situation so it shouldn’t be treated as one. Between two rescheduled dates and Celine's health, fans haven’t got a clue what they originally paid for (and it ain’t cheap!!). A bit of clarity is needed.

Not everyone can afford to be messing around taking time off work and booking travel/hotels at such last minute. As I said, this is completely inconsiderate.

This would have never happened under Rene. Yes I know, it keeps being said over and over, but it simply wouldnt have. He cared for the fans in a way we didn’t realise. He is so missed!

Completely respect your opinion Kev, you know that.

Of course I understand where you’re coming from. I also accept the last 2 years are unprecedented and perhaps “special circumstances” should be thought of.

I guess all I’m trying to convey is even if they tweeted today that the tour is on then there’s still always a chance that it will still be cancelled for so many reasons.

I remain hopeful it’ll all go ahead as planned.

It's only 12:44 in Vegas, so I'm still holding out some hope. Posts by Céline herself are often a bit later in the day.

That said, if there's really nothing today, I'm getting worried again 😔

I agree with that Shaun. A bit of communication though is important for fans at this point. They must know this! I worry for her career now with this current team, I really do.

Ever since Celine began abusing the term “the best is yet to come”, NOTHING came. Lol

It’s all a easy way to say, she hasn’t a clue what’s next if anything.

And to be honest, even if send some message on social media , a videomessage..it is all really late. And I agree, those tickets are really expensive and if the show will be cancelled again I don’t know if I want to wait yet another year.

We cannot help her team is so lazy and clueless. Celine Dion is a product and she has to sell and they do nothing lately..

I understand keeping quiet during the time in which she would have been performing the final leg of the US dates.

But I’m hoping her team will speak up about relaunching the tour now that Celine is healthier.

I don’t know why, but when the tour started in 2019 and dates in my country were announced, my gut feeling told me not to buy any tickets, and Im glad I didn’t. Edited by ryba

If the summer shows weren't happening, we likely would've found out by today. Each cancellation since April 2020 has been made at least one month prior to the first show.

I understand the frustration regarding the risks associated with travel/accommodations for these shows, and the desire for some form of additional confirmation that they're going ahead. However, as others have mentioned, the vast majority of ticketholders for these shows are expecting them to go on unless indicated otherwise at this point.

I agree that a simple affirmation from Celine would be nice, considering the circumstances surrounding recent cancellations have shifted from COVID concerns to Celine's personal health issues, which did, in fact, seem to persist longer than initially expected when the residency was cancelled.

With that being said, I'm not holding out for any news about the tour until she goes to Paris in a few weeks, and I'm expecting the shows to go ahead at this point.

I’m so glad I saw the show before the world changed. I would think tho that Celine won’t pull an Adele, and cancel so last minute, but the silence is deafening. This team hasn’t a clue, & it starts at the top with Celine, surely Renès lead all those years should’ve taught her something, but apparently she was really sleeping all those years and it shows. Wake up Celine.

I have a ticket for the upcoming tour, and I'm not losing any sleep over not hearing re-confirmation of something that's already been confirmed. Sure, anything can happen and dates could be canceled - and may well be - but I see no reason to stress out over a possibility when there's been no indication of it being a probability. (And I'll be traveling ~8,000 miles for the show, so it's not like it's next door for me, either.)

I understand people wanting more and I'm not arguing against them providing an update - particularly in the form of a rehearsals update or similar rather than a redundant, unnecessary "yes, those shows that we told you were happening are still happening" post. It would be a simple thing for them to do. But god, the obsessive drama and entitlement on display in this thread is exhausting, albeit not surprising.
