I understand that she cancels for health reasons, more because we don't explain what is really happening, what is her health status, what does she have. It must be serious, just like that to have so many cancellations.

 

I feel like chronic muscle spasms is really all we need to know. Even if a more specific diagnosis is made public one day, it might even be too soon for her and her medical team to know exactly if it is degenerative, worsening, etc.

 

But she is apparently well enough to be on video and running errands, so I don't think it's red alert doomsday. She's probably chilling on her couch with some cous cous right now.

Whatever ill will Adele got because of her cancellation seems to have blown over already, at least from what I can see.

 

Actually, Adele's reputation reputation took a major hit (and rightfully so...). But she cancelled the *day before*. In Vegas, where loads of people arrange their trip around a concert. For *no good reason at all* and without announcing new dates (thus keeping people's money hostage, unless they cancelled their tickets right away).

Which is still way different from Céline's case (if she postpones this week).

Sure, it sucks for hardcore fans that travel to see her (like me). But most of the attendees live nearby and won't be bothered too much.

It's always possible that someone made fake screenshots and shared them in hopes of forcing a response from Celine's management. Probably unlikely, but possible. It's probably more likely, IMO, that the promoter intended to schedule the post for Friday, but accidentally shared it immediately. Happens all the time.

 

I understand that it takes a bit of time to figure out the logistics and reschedule 42 shows, and they probably want to hold off on the announcement until all dates are set to avoid more confusion. They could've finalized the new Antwerp dates days ago, but are still working out other cities.

So I went to the dentist earlier today, and my dentist is across the street from the Four Seasons she stayed at when she played Barclays Center in March 2020, and took these pictures (plus the ones in the floral dress, and the Robin Hood cape, y'all remember, right?)

Anyway, I plopped myself down in one of those chairs while waiting, staring at that sculpture. That was the last time I saw her in the flesh, taking selfies & signing autographs for fans. When will we get to experience that again?

Sigh.

 

If she's well enough perhaps she'll do Vegas in the fall. Probably less stressful to ease back into performing with a smaller show, without the need to travel. Fingers crossed.

 

 

So, Celine, since you're right around the corner - how about Sunday brunch? Just us girls? What do you say? I'll find you the best Lebanese in town!

Celine is obviously unwell. She doesn’t have to explain to us. She needs to get better. I am devastated the tour will be next year. Cross I suppose. Then I recall she’s a human. A mum. She needs to be well. When she is I’ll be front of the line to welcome the greatest singer in history back. Can’t wait x

Completely fed up with this situation. Yes I have a life outside of this world, but it’s very close my heart and always has been. It’s a total shambles.

 

I feel like we have been led by Rene all these years to love Celine in his marketing plans and now since he has gone, it’s telling that they don’t actually care at all. No communication at all!

 

I’m going to get a refund. Not going to go through this again for the fourth time.

 

It’s not Celine’s fault but her team are completely hopeless and seem to have no thought for anyone.

I think that is harsh. Rene was superb. A master. Celine a bit lost I’d say. Yes it’s poor, yes we are cross. However she’s a human. Her children and health for them come first. Not us. That is why we love her. She’s been very open. She is likely fighting it. I hope we get a little video. If not, tough.

 

No way have we been misled. Celine is the greatest singer of our times. And never been silly or selfish. Rene taught her humility.

I get your point Kev, I really do. I love Celine but her team stress me out. Take some time to consider but don’t get that refund right away. If the shows happen next year you will be glad you kept the tickets. Don’t let her crappy team take from what may be a brilliant night.

If they do postpone again they should give the fans something. Rene got it, he even played the cancelled DVD to fans in Vegas who had shows cancelled. Just do something to keeps fans sweet and keep Celine in the public eye.

 

Some people say fans are entitled for having a negative opinion but at the end of the day we are customers of the artist. It affects fans a lot to keep postponing and the least they could do is throw a bone to fans.

It’s not a one way street, she/they only have to give it the go ahead and the huge interest they accumulated over the last three years from European tickets sales, will more than cover editing, distribution and marketing!

I Get what Kev is saying though. At first I would agree and say it is none of our business. However, this is now turning into a long term problem. He isn't asking for an in depth interview about her health and what is causing the issues, just I have a problem with my leg, or my back, whatever, and that means I am struggling to do whatever. It would just reassure fans and help with the disappointment.

But with all the cancelations, speculations.

It would give us all a peace of mind for a bit more info than just 'muscle spasms'

 

I still can't see how they prevent her from going on stage and sing.

 

I would be happy with her sitting on a chair and sing.

 

Anyway, it's time Sony or whoever from her teams step up their game and give us some celine.
