If it is to return to Vegas, to return with a mega show, the more I am sad that she will be there for a long time, in Turner the energy is different, there is more interaction from the public.

Evident from where? And what are our Vegas sources telling us? Anyone have that info?

Why has she not cancelled already? She's probably looking for a way to postpone the tour.

knowing her or her team, they are trying to figure out how to say it to us ,maybe that's what taking them so long

This marks over a year that they've had our money.

Maybe they're trying to get the Courage tour tickets valid for her new Vegas show

So they want everyone to pay out the nose to travel across the world? That would come with a lot of backlash.... especially as many borders are closed!

If the tour is pushed back to 2022 (which it will be) I think it will be approaching the “give me a refund” stage for a lot of people.

Just a wild theory, but I know that huge corporations who have this much money on the line aren't looking out for the customers' interest as their first priority!

It’s not 30 days before the tour is supposed to start up again. Until then, I wouldn’t count on anything.

Queen's latest concert video, Live Around the World, is now available for streaming.

How very interesting.

Back in October, they released a #1 album that contained various tour performances from 2014-early 2020.

They released it on CD, DVD, Blu-ray and Vinyl.

It went #1.

...

On CD/DVD/Blu-ray/Vinyl.

...

...

CD

DVD

BLU-RAY

VINYL.

And now, streaming....

I'd love to hear what all of you fans out there who have harped on and on and on about "how these things simply aren't made any more" and "nobody buys CDs / DVDs these days" have to say about this. Maybe we can continue the conversation in the thread people keep avoiding that's entirely devoted to petitioning her team to release new footage from their archives.

:)

Can you imagine this on Céline concert lol

So and when you stand in these cocoons you probably have less light on the artist as well. It would be ideal for artists who don’t like filming fans at concerts.

I, for one, am avoiding it because I couldn’t care less if one of these concerts got released. Would I buy it if it did? Yes. But I’m not gonna go out of my way to ensure one is. If they release it, great. If they don’t, great. Others may feel the same. And it explicitly says at the top of the thread, if you’re not interested, don’t visit this thread.

Queen is a band that no longer exists. Those kinda of releases are expected when things are over. Every year they release something of Whitney as well. If Celine were dead there would be a big interest for general people in those requests that, today, only appeals to hard core fans. But Celine it's alive and in activity, she needs to consider save money for future projects, instead of expanding budgets on something that will not sell.

Plus, there's a big interest on Queen since the movie. Just to compare, Queen is now on 44 on Spotify, with 33,5 million monthly streams, while Celine is on 429, with less than 10 million.

I'm totally open to requesting something from TC, BTW. But it has to be reasonable, otherwise is a waste of time. Put some videos online, or some songs on Spotify. But demanding DVD with extra specials features, audio demands, several shows at once... This things requires a lot of work and money to put together. Is something that needs to be plan and not just do because some fans are asking for.

I have seen a lot of fan bases getting stuff and no one of them was demanding this much. But, unfortunately, the whole "project" is not up to discussion, as everyone with a different approach is "asked" to leave the topic. Great way to get support, by the way.

The campaign is to ask for release of any of those 3 shows, not all. It's asking for it to be released in any platform they can release it, not specifically as a DVD.

The only people asked to not participate are just those that came in telling us why we shouldn't do this, it wasn't directed at those bringing in constructive criticism and ideas to implement into the campaign.

You're wrong. They've been on tour every year since 2014, and from 2005 - 2014 had a couple of tours. Before that, they were still officially a band even through the 90s after Freddie's death. Adam Lambert is pretty much their new lead singer. They have a 2019 - 2021 tour still ongoing.

I'm not even get into this because if you think there's Queen without Freddie or even if it's the same... It's just not worth the argument.

They are living the nostalgia of what the band once was and that's it. It's not the same.

I don't know why I'm even responding this... The numbers speak for itself: 33 million x 9 million. The first one is just releasing compilations and live albums, the second one is an active singer, dropping new albums, new songs, videos and all. If I'm wrong I guess the whole industry also is...

Seeing as I am a massive Queen fan do you know why Queen doesn't release new albums? Not because the band can't or doesn't want to but because the one time they suggested it they got ripped into two pieces for it. Sorry to say but Queen is not living off nostalgia if they were living off just nostalgia they wouldn't still be able to sell out arenas and stadium. And to some degree I can say the same about Celine. Most of the general public doesn't even know her newer material.

For fans who know nothing about Queen lemme educate everyone here. When Freddie died he had asked the band to finish their final album Made in Heaven which they did and was released in 1995. I believe the album went to number 1. In 1997 they released a tribute song Only the Good Die Young. The Band PLANNED on going on with the remaining members but John Deacon had a breakdown, Brian nearly committed suicide and Roger's wife had cancer. The band disbanded for a while. Their manager brought them back with the musical We Will Rock You. The band itself still didn't want to return. It was only after they did the Nelson Mandela Concert they realized they were depriving their fans. They came back with Paul Rodgers and fans did not like that. They attempted to do a CD with him fans didn't want it. So they stopped again and did odd gigs. In 2009 I believe their keyboard player Spike saw Adam on Idol and persuaded them to go to the finale and see him. They loved him but Adam was tied to a contract for 2 years. Once that contract ran out they tried him out at the EMA's I believe where he got good reviews they then did the show in Kiev in 2012. After that they went on tour and have continued to be on tour with Adam since. This was their first attempt in a long time to release something with Adam in it and the fact it was well received as was their re-recorded charity version of We Are the Champions for COVID could lead to more new material from Queen in the future. They had to be careful. Freddie's death hit their long time fans hard and they took that into consideration. And so we're clear the film and the fact the band continues to tour continues to be headliners at major events such as Global Citizen or Fire Fight Australia has also helped bring in new and younger fans into the fold. I saw teens were maybe 15 belting the hits like no tomorrow when I went to their show. If you are a nostalgia band that doesn't happen. So sorry to say they are not that. Also Queen has not released anything since 2011. This is there first concert release in ages. So to get to number one on your first CD release since 1995 is pretty incredible when the Spice Girls released their greatest hits it didn't even chart very well. Yes they sold out their tour but that can only get you so far. They didn't even see the point in filming the tour because their new single and greatest hits album barely charted. There were barely any new fans at the shows either I know this as I also went to this tour. This is not meant as a diss to Celine but if she had a team that was willing to work at it she could do alot of this too. I mean as I said in the beginning of this post there are alot of people outside of here who don't know her newer material and that is a shame. And I also acknowledge many fans don't like Adam and believe what the band is doing is wrong but clearly many fans accept that sometimes change happens it doesn't make them better then they were with Freddie or takes anything away from Freddie but they said Freddie did want them to carry on meanwhile they didn't really so I don't think he'd be too upset. But if you don't like Queen without Freddie then why would you want them to release new material? His death no one could stop that at the time there was no treatment so everyone had to accept it. Anyways I apologize for rambling.

Also I must add during the pandemic nearly every single day the members would come onto their IG and post a little something whether it was just a message of hope some pictures a live stream of them jamming together via zoom they never let us feel like we were alone they stayed connected to their fans that is key to any artist who wants to keep their sales up and keep interest. When they live streamed 2 shows during the pandemic every paper covered it. Why? Because their management know how important it is for people to know what the band is up to rather then you know post mindless pics that mean nothing. Connect with the fans that is key give them what they want and they will never leave you.

Even though they couldn't seem further apart, the Céline/ Queen comparison has a lot of similarities. Like you said, they have been around long enough that they have old fans who want nothing to change--the purists. Céline fandom has those, too. Then you have those fans who want to seem them grow and evolve as an artist, and they get upset and say those purists are stuck in the past. Céline has those fans, too. Maybe they are the minority, but if an Adam Lambert-fronted version of Queen can hit #1 on the charts with a live compilation, then so too can a Céline compilation. But I don't think it has to be her greatest hits in the traditional sense. The Vegas years contain a plethora of songs that even non-fans will recognize (yes, the covers) as well as some fan-beloved songs that both purists and their counterparts can enjoy. The point is that Queen fans are spoiled rotten because they have been getting showered with little gifts all year long, while we are happy she uploaded a single video for Christmas. If they are going to cancel this tour, then they better have a plan in action to appease the fans, because you cannot argue that the pandemic alone has shut down someone's ability to connect with the fans who are providing them their livelihood.

There's no argument though. I am simply saying that people are demanding performances, tours, and releases from Queen's live performances (which yes, is not the same as with Freddie but has not gone away nor have their fans. Freddie wasn't the only member in that band.) They are not a dead band. Whitney is dead. But Queen continues.
