Courage World Tour - EU shows CANCELED

Recommended Posts

I don't think any tours will happen this year. At all. it's still a friggin mess. She best do what Elton John did and rebook the entire rescheduled dates to 2022 Q1 and renegotiate a start date for Vegas. I think its important the tour finishes. But not this year.

I agree. I think its better and safer reschedule all Courage Concerts to next year or perform these concerts between a new residency in LV starting in 2022, like she did in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

By the way, its already time to her team to communicate the cancellation of the concerts because it´s clear its not gonna happen this year, but I think they are trying to fit the new dates so they will publish everything all together, so the fans will decide if they want a refund or will see the concert in a new date.

Question:

Out of all the taped performances of The Prayer from this tour on YouTube, which one(s) are the best?

In some places the vaccine is already well advanced, thousands of people are already being immunized, I still believe that by June many countries will return to normal with their entertainment.

No way here in Europe. We are still in lockdown and as for the Netherlands vaccinating is only just starting and goes way way too slow. Then there also mutant coronaviruses that are spreading...no way in June, no way.

For clarity, I mean the best vocally.

Glastonbury has also now been cancelled and thats well after April.

Scrap the tour, work on the new residency and do mini tours next year and the year after, simple.

Oh yeah and for this year release a DVD by April/May :P

Shouldn't that be scrap the new residency, work on a revamped show to co-inside with new music (fingers crossed) when the pandemic ends. Heck call is Courage 2.0 haha

I agree Del. She has been trapped in Vegas for FAR TOO LONG to scrap a world tour and go back to Vegas. She must finish the North American leg of the tour at least. She's done Europe in the last several years but Canada and the USA waited ten years for a tour. Needs to finish that market. If she was smart when she renegotiated this Vegas deal she arranged far less shows and non-exclusive contracts. Those are insane. She's better off doing what Gaga does. Hopefully they were smart about it. What i'm afraid of is that the contract has already been signed (likely) and she may have to start shows in Vegas in 2022---which means the tour can only be scheduled up to a certain date.

Considering Celine works for (and is beholden to) AEG and they’ve got a new venue opening in Las Vegas and will want to get as much attention to that as possible, the decision won’t rest with Celine herself but with the execs at AEG. She’ll just do what they pay her to do.

It’s very hard to choose but definitely her performances of the song from 30 January to 5 March 2020 were very good and consistent. If I had to narrow it down I would maybe choose San Antonio, Houston, Atlantic City and NYC. If I had to choose one, it would probably be Houston though they’re all pretty much the same.

Big concerts/tours won't be happening until next year. Even if a lot of countries have vaccinated their population, organizing and rearranging a big tour is a logistical hell. Next year, there will probably be an explosion of concerts/tours/events (start saving).

Festivals are more likely to go ahead (with possible adjustments) than stadium/arena tours.

Just read an interview with a few entertainment bosses and one of them said it a "Bruce Springsteen"-type of tour -just the artist with a few instruments, some lights, some speakers, a small crew- will be much easier to do than a big production tour (as I said earlier in this thread for a possible alternative).

She doesn't work for AEG... she works with them / has a partnership with them.

If she doesn't want to do it, she doesn't have to... but it depends on the contract (see the ICM mess).

Since people nowadays gets tired easily after 10 shows with the same setlist (updated). I wonder if the fans before also felt the same way during A New Day... singing the same setli.... oh I remember during A New Day era. They kept on adding songs for the setlist unlike the Céline 2nd residency show.

how many times they added songs?

I wonder if there's any hope for the open air shows that are planned in July? (Framce, Italy, Malta) Edited by Dancing_Queen

Great time for her acoustic tour that she wants to do!

Oh wait. She also wants to play in a big movie since 1997.

So we better wait!

And no, Text For You isn't the movie role she been talking about. Before everyone jumps on me.

Productions J was/is Julie Snyder's company, not Céline's.

Feeling Prod is probably Céline's employer on paper, but as she owns the company, it's more a technicality.

Ultimately, she is her own boss.

It's not the biggest role, but it's a start, right?

She will get exposure as an "actor" (and directors might think about her for future projects) and her music will too.

Not a bad move in my opinion. And she probably will sell even more concert tickets! :P

Does celine need and agent , if the others have been FIRED, or is she doing this on her own.

I predict she’ll try to start tour again between Jan-March 2022 when most people will have vaccine, but only if it’s proven that the virus is significantly slowed down around the world.

Otherwise summer 2022

Do you honestly think that with all the difficulty getting enough vaccines many countries are currently facing her tour will resume in March with no physical distancing? Physical distancing means that she would have to at least double the number of shows if they are sold-out. When will her team announce that they will be rescheduled. I don't want to be in some fans' shoes who bought airfare, booked accommodation, etc... Edited by Leo

The tour will absolutely not happen in March. I don’t expect they will announce the postponement until 30 days prior to the first concert.

What's everyone's #1 favorite performance from the Courage tour? (Just one song, not the whole concert.) B) Edited by smw

I really love the IACBTMN new intro as she comes on the stage lol, and also the video of MHWGO melodies that she sings before she goes on stage.

I would say it's probably The Prayer. But tied with it for #1 is BATB and Lying Down.

the prayer ❤️ her voice sounds strained when she sings her new songs but it’s perfect in the prayer

I LOVE the new TTWII and MHWGO intros.

But when it comes to the full song I think Courage or The Prayer wins for me.

I feel so much power from Celine during Courage and the visuals are stunning.

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I've never been a huge fan of The Prayer. Don't get me wrong, I like the song, but I've just never gotten the WOW factor from it. Enter the Courage solo version... so many goosebumps! I love the solo arrangement and I love the adlibbing she's add for the tour. The visuals are also so beautiful live.

Like most songs on tour, you really have to be there to get the full effect and I think that's especially true for both Courage and The Prayer. They're just magic when you're in the venue.

If covid19 didn’t happen maybe she’s on Asia now and I will see the courage tour especially the big prod from this tour. I want my fellow asian to see this show live in our country. Because the last time back in 2018, the set up were to simple. Now, it’s a big prod. And it’s amazing. Edited by jpatdeleon09
