We don’t even know when the pics were taken now.. i mean it was understandable to me, of course id love much more pics and videos or even “old” stuff like some video from the tour, not necessarily a full dvd, or vegas..

when i say that its understandable to me it’s because this pandemic is really bad and she was working non stop since 2015, i mean with short breaks..

There js a great FAN DVD on YT. They should release the professional filmed concert (Quebec) on Netflix and DVD. Because I don't think they will continue the tour this year and Celine will start her new Vegas show in 2022/2023.

 

Thanks for posting this (again?). I watched it last night, and teared up multiple times throughout the show. They did such a great job!! I love that they included all three finales of the English show :-) A French version of the concert would be nice too, but I know that footage is iffy because she was sick...

But this one feels normal and not posed. Glad she enjoys herself in the snow. I realize that she is in the same boat as we are. Trying to protect herself , her children and her family and maybe that is why we do not hear much new lately. She does not want her or anyone around her to get that nasty virus.

I don't think anyone in here is judging Aldo based on your feelings about him, though. People can miss his management, specially since him being "dirt" or not it's just "your feeling" with no substantial prove of it.

 

So, the last part of you comment makes no sense. In order to use irony you have to know how to use it.

 

That being said, I personally don't think he did that of great job. He job was basic. The thing is that this days not even the basic we've been getting.

Céline was everywhere in 2016-2017 when Aldo was her manager. It seems like they tried to do the same thing in 2019 for Courage but maybe the rescheduling of the Montreal shows messed up their plans? I hope that’s the case. Anyway, they could’ve made up for it big time in 2020 with all the time and opportunities they had. Both Aldo and René would have surely organized various things to keep Céline busy and in the spotlight during the pandemic which is why, if we cannot get René back, Aldo would probably be a satisfactory substitute in the role of manager. As far as Céline’s career is concerned, I think it was a big mistake firing Aldo, regardless of whether or not he was paying certain people too much. René had chosen him for a reason and it was obvious that Aldo was carefully carrying out his work just as René (one of the most legendary talent managers ever) would’ve done.

I think Celine has been overwhelmed by the whole business aspect of the business.

She never had to deal with any of that until these past few years.

All of the lawsuit drama, etc. caught up with her and she is in regroup mode right now.

It would be great if she could find another manager, who she can trust.

But I don't think Celine will ever want to be bossed around ever again.

I think she will want to do things on her terms from now on.

It is a shame the real big potential hits like the hard way and heart of glass were not released as a single with a proper video. as always they choose the wrong singles and even if one of them had potential - lying down, it did not get a jawdropping video..no it was just released on streaming media,.bam that’s it.

Like someone said popmusic is a combination of music and video.

Back in the 90s i bought my cd-single usually because of that combination -the music and the video. But Courage for example deserved so much better than this black & white amateurish video.

With all the info we know now, I have the same feeling. The way he went, was too weird and too sudden.

We'll never really know all the behind-the-scenes stuff, but the same goes when René was her manager, or right now with Dave (& Denis).

 

What we as fans could see at that time, is that he managed to make Céline (more) current/relevant again (something a lot of fans craved for, for years).

He managed to finally bring Céline to the 21st century... yes with a song from her living room, but also with songs live from her concerts, lots of promo, more social media/online presence, concrete music plans, but also plans to expand her empire. But Aldo was primary a business man, maybe even more than René (who also had music as a passion), which was clear from his background, but also the way he basically sacked a lot of "Team Céline" employees.

 

An Aldo type of manager is what Céline needs.. no, what Céline's career needs (we all know what Céline really wants and needs).

I agree with you. I don't think she will change anything really. The only thing she might do is consulting some really good lawyers from now on to check every big deal she now makes.
