Just a random thought: Why don't we all focus on one potential show (Live 2016 / Live 2017 / "Celine" / Hyde Park / Courage Tour) and all of us send an e-mail to Feeling Productions asking for it? I know it's been suggested a few times in the past, but if we created a specific topic on the forum and all of us sent one message, that would make a big difference.

Feeling Production's e-mail address is easy to find online (if I'm not mistaking). We could have a look and try to find it. In the meantime, it would be interesting to start figuring out the options:

 

· Celine (2011-2014)

· Céline Dion Live 2016

· Céline Dion Live 2017

· Celine (2015-2018)

· Celine (Final year version)

· Live at Hyde Park

· Courage World Tour

 

Did I forget anything? I omitted the 2018 tour as we already have the Tokyo show, but obviously we can add it to the list if you guys want. Once we have decided the possible options, we could open the new thread with a poll, so all members can vote for the show we'll ask Feeling Productions to share.

 

In my personal opinion, I think realistic options are the 2017 tour, the final show in Vegas (though I'd definitely not vote for this one) and Hyde Park. These are shows we know for sure that were actually filmed.

 

I think we should definitely give this a try, as this is the only way we can actually communicate with Celine's team.

 

What do you guys think?

Look at all those sold out stadiums..some of them with even 60.000 fans. We are just a tiny bunch of diehard fans for them. And they are not gonna change their plans for us. They are not gonna listen.

What is it with this fandoms negativity? You don't believe it will work fine then don't email but I do not see a problem with trying. If we exercise all our options and then we still don't get it then atleast we can say well we tried. If we fail we fail end of story but until that happens then we cannot say with certainty that we cannot do this. I have seen smaller fanbases put on these types of petitions and emails and had the company listen to them so why not us? Didn't Dave say years ago he doesn't think there is interest. Why don't we show them there is. Do you think she continues to film just for the sake of it obviously she has something in her mind now these things may be getting shelved because her label or management believe there is no interest. Honestly some of you guys I feel like you live for negativity and never want to try something new to challenge ourselves. If we continue to just accept her giving us the same recycled footage from the 90s we will never ever get something new. God if I was the way some of you are I wouldn't have accomplished half of what I have in this life. You don't accomplish anything just sitting all day being like "well it's not going to happen so not point" no that's not how it works and certainly not how I work. I left this forum because I got sick and tired of the negativity nobody was willing to do anything. All it was day in and out was whining about how she's not promoting she's not releasing and then when someone suggests us possibly pushing her label/management and showing them that interest exists it's "Nah that won't work" Sorry I don't mean to come off mean or bossy or what not but I am quite tired of some of you guys. For those who want to try I'm all in. I have always been in. I just abandoned it last time because I got really fed up by the negative nancy's on here. I know and so many of the positive ones are the ones who have DMed me through the years being like "come on you're right let's try" I just sometimes feel like the negative ones drowns out the positive ones and it can be disheartening at times.

I'm also in. Fandom campaigns happen all the time and sometimes they do work so why not try? It's 100x better than just complaining. If you don't think it'll do anything then just don't participate.

 

If we deliver an organized and polite campaign then there is no reason for team Celine to be annoyed that Celine actually has devoted and caring fans. Their work actually is about appealing to fans and making us want to invest in Celine.

 

A few suggestions

 

1. A topic in the forum for this campaign is needed to stay organized. Maybe we should come up with a name for this campaign.

 

2. Pick a day for everyone to email TC (I'd say multiple days and perhaps spread out through a few weeks).

 

3. Ask for a Blu-ray or online release. And I think mentioning the top 3 concerts fans want is fine, I don't think we need to limit it to just one. If they listen to us then it's in their ball court to release whichever.

 

4. Promote it on other social media platforms. Ask the fan accounts with lots of followers to share.

 

 

 

An additional idea to prove we would gladly pay for DVD/Blu-ray releases or streaming is to pick a day in which we all buy/rent Through the Eyes of the World and TCWT on youtube. And leave a comment there asking Sony to release more Celine content.

This is a great plan. Having a devoted topic would really be the first step towards showing we’re serious about this. I’m not sure I’ve made a new topic before. Don’t you have to be an admin?

I’m not sure what they were thinking. FOMO sticks out like a sore thumb in a funky/rock medley of cover songs from the 1960s-1970s-1980s. It seems to me they couldn’t find a spot for it, and just snuck it in there to see if anyone would notice. The medley itself has grown on me, but I still think they should have dropped “Kiss” after Vegas. Then maybe FOMO would have worked a little better.

 

Ideally, she would have done a medley of her own songs at some point, but some people might say 2 medleys is 1 too many!

FOMO will not fit to medleys. It should be solo. And they should use a studio instrumentals so it will be more energetic so it can be an opening song.

I’ve always thought FOMO should be at the top of the show somewhere either being the opening number or with I’m Alive or TTWII. Definitely before IYAMT and TPOL. And it needs to be lipped. The live version wasn’t great.

EXACTLY. The key for the new live version of FOMO was lowered. And upbeat genres isn’t the best to be in lower key.

I don't care if she's not singing her own material. I'm not a fan of Celine for her music; I'm a fan of Celine for her voice! I'd rather she didn't lip at all but I understand she can't not perform her big hits. I love how little she's relied on lip-synching on the CWT and I applaud her for making the choice to drop the songs she can't sing live rather than record a track to lip to.

I agree, however, FOMO is LITERALLY the only upbeat song on the album. Imperfections is more mid-tempo. It'd be nice to have FOMO in the setlist. And it's one song. I'm not advocating for her to go back to the old days like AND... and the TC tour where a good portion of the show was lipped.
