THIS IS THE COURAGE TOUR! I have tickets for Montreal in February. I'm so thrilled with her new record. I want to hear the new stuff not the old stuff we've heard a million times.

I know.. Same here. I can only hope the Europe setlist will be different. She robbed my wallet for the same old stuff she has sang a gazillion times before and I was so stupid to get my tickets that fast.

This is my own opinion and i hope nobody comes after me for saying this, but this is the most pretentious celine has ever been in my eyes, she thinks "her people" will just lap up everything that comes out of her mouth just because she is who she is. Her random unnecessary adlibs should go so she could concentrate on singing the song properly. No amount of poetic license can justify the travesty she's making of her biggest song in french.

 

Edit: she made stellar performances of this song recently but others are just a MISS. Because she is inconsistent. If she cannot sing it consistently good with her random adlibs, then she should stick to the way she recorded it.

 

As to the setlist, because she's not visiting asia, i dont have any strong feelings. I just wish she sings properly her biggest songs.

 

My gosh in PQTME. She’s doing that extra words and notes again. I think with this acoustic arrangement.. she should tone it down. sing it properly. Look at her previous performances of this song from this tour. It’s better. More emotional

 

I mean, the crowd wants to sing too. They can’t follow because she’s changing it lol

I'm sorry, but on this matter, Celine is dumb: she complains all the time that she has to sing "all the old ones"... and doesn't even offer a chance for new songs to reach the audience! Of course they won't want it!

 

Isn't a tour suppose to support an album and help it sell more - I mean, besides the tour bundle which is even a greater robbery if you don't perform its tracks on tour since people are buying it for the name and not the content they never got a chance to hear? Me too! RDMH was one of my all times favorites. Now I just can't stand it anymore! I guess I'll go to the bathroom when she feed it to us in Paris.

As for LCMM.... was there a single show she didn't sing it? name one! Since when is it a Top Charter?! (besides Canada, of course).

It’s just a shame because this album is amazing. There really isn’t a song that I don’t repeat over and over. So when she gets to Texas I’ll go to my show in Houston but I won’t be spending anymore money for Dallas and San Antonio. I was even going to the one in New Orleans but not for the way it is now. Here we go again... most of us are getting cranky again. And justifiably so! Our expectations for new songs being introduced into the setlist keep getting dashed, with each new start date.

 

First, it was “wait til she gets to the U.S. ...”

Then, “Wait til the album is released...”

Then, “Wait til Montréal...”

Now, “Maybe in Chicago?”

 

I’m sure I’ll have a great time in Chicago, seeing her with my friends who have never been to a Céline concert. I can’t wait to see them wowed at her showmanship. This alone will make it unique experience from the show I saw in Vegas. But what I’m worried about is this: once the mega-fans are fed up with paying top dollar to see “same-setlist, different-tour”, how long will her career last?

 

Think of HOW MUCH each of us is willing to spend for multiple versions of her latest album, merch, DVDs, plane tickets, train tickets, concert tickets, hotels, etc. — that is just pocket change for Céline Dion (who spends more on an article of clothing that she’ll wear only once than I’ll make in an entire year of wages). Don’t you wonder if this “don’t like it, don’t care” attitude may backfire?

 

I love her personality, her voice, her music, and I can’t imagine my life without any of that. But since this tour started, there are times when I can’t shake this image of her dressed like Marie Antoinette, lounging around and saying “Let them hear covers...”

I actually love PQTME since she began to modify the melody. The old version has been heard too many times. If I complain about the fact she's always doing the same things in concert, I can't blame her when she changes things a bit. She does it a bit too in MHWGO, and that's nice. Like the new note she did in Seduces Me for some month during A New Day.

 

Also, Imperfection works great live, so... You can add more, Celine! You love this album, DEFEND it! No more LD?!

No but, seriously. Does Celine or her team think that people will be interested in her shows if she sings the same songs over and over for 30 years? We love her and we are not excited about the setlist! Naming your concert after your newest record and only performing 2 songs is not Courageous...

 

Artists tour all the time to introduce and promote new music/records. I don’t get it. It’s so strange. She finally said “F*** It: I want to sing whatever I want on my record” BUT she can’t assume it in concert.

 

I understand that she needs to include the classics but there is no reason that she can’t perform a minimum of 4 to 6 new songs rather that mediocre fillers and a cover of a 1980ns Australian hit?!!

I would think the majority are just regular fans who don't care that much about the set list.

I get your point. Some nights, the new version of PQTME is simply divine and ethereally beautiful. But most nights, it's cringey. It's just that she's inconsistent.

Hell no i’m paying 200$ to go see the “Greatest Hits World Tour”. (Honestly think the Courage World Tour should be renamed at this point.).....

I just came back from the 2nd Montreal show. I can't say I didn't enjoy the show. I did very much. Her voice was top shape! She looked great. The crowd reaction was great too! The visual were very good!..I liked her version of PQTME and the intro of MHWGO (voice and shooting in the water). I was glad she sang À Vous. I liked her ballet interlude and the intro of the show with IACBTMN...

BUT only 2 effing songs from Courage for a show called Courage.... I'm sorry but this is ridiculous.... How come she doesn't want to sing NEW songs (especially when she said so many times she was tired of singing MHWGO and others...). How come she does not want to talk about the new album and "sell" those new songs to her audience... I'm shocked by some of the decisions that were made regarding this tour... She should at least sing 5 songs out of Courage!!!

Maybe im crazy. I mean. I hate the setlist, i really do... but im probably gonna buy tickets to at least two more shows maybe 3 or 4 depending on some vacation time.

 

I want more courage songs.

I don't mind the hits. Some are calling for BATB to be dropped. This is one of her biggest, and she hasn't toured with it since 1997 in the usa. For 2 minutes of celine original it can stay.

I don't mind lcmm and rdmh. At this point those two are what they are. (And to answer, someone asked when she hasn't sang lcmm - the very first two shows of the tour maybe three she did not sing it, only since 1992 though besides SLP08).

But 27 minutes of non album covers is appalling. Limit it to 6 minutes. That 21 minutes of change could seriously be the exact facelift the tour needs.

We'll just have to accept the fact that they only named the tour "Courage" just to go in line with the album release. Nothing more. This is really more like a "Greatest Hits Tour," but just named it after the current album so it is consistent with the "branding" they are currently working with.

When she started out with the TC world tour, she was singing only 4 songs from the album... and by the time the tour wrapped up, she was singing 6 TC songs.

 

So with Courage, if she started out with 2 Courage songs, we could expect that number to go up to just 4 songs [or 5 if we are lucky] by the time this tour ends next year.

Fomo and LD are singles and should be promoted as such. It really makes me upset to see them not being performed. The other songs from the album can have a pass, but Fomo and LD? I get they might be difficult for her, but shouldn't that have been figured out during rehearsals? If she doesn't end up bringing them back, what a big disappointment. I'd rather see her lip them then leave them forgotten like the other 16 GEMS on the album. Luckily my tickets are for April 3, so hopefully by that time they make some changes to the setlist, but I wouldn't count on it too much. I'm sure I'll still enjoy seeing her, but I can't believe I spent $250 for a recycled setlist.

These new songs are precious and a treasure. If she feels the need to lip a new song she just needs to pick a different new song instead. Plain and simple. End of story.

Everyone saying she should lip fomo, or the e in lying down. Or the belts in change your mind. Screw that. I will take imperfections, I will be stronger, for the lover, and say yes if it means we get a new song and live.

These are new songs, her voice should be comfortable with them. Save the playback for the required songs she isn't allowed to drop (basically the case tbh).

Please don’t say that. She will go to asia. She needs to add dates I want to see this big prod show, also the drones too!! And her voice is getting better.

Oh i have a story... I remember that Céline’s show last year almost never happened because she’s so expensive. Thank god there’s one super rich guy (a celeb here in ph) paid that remaining bal. so it happened and it’s a 2 days sold out show

 

So, maybe now since it’s big prod tour. It might be more expensive (duh) Anyways, maybe our president will work on that. Btw, our president watched her show too on 2nd day
