cdfan32 Posted November 20, 2019 at 03:44 PM Posted November 20, 2019 at 03:44 PM I wonder how many of her long time fans go to fewer and fewer shows as time goes by though. The more and more covers she sings instead of her own material while her own material stays the same, it's fewer and fewer and further apart for me. I can justify going to 3-4 shows every tour for other artists who regularly play most of their new albums, but to hear the EXACT same setlist year in and year out as 20 years ago... it's honestly insulting and lazy at this point. I don't believe she has that many new "casual" fans. People say Celine's prices are expensive, but they're actually a fraction of the cost of any other artist of her caliber except for the first few rows. This is why. 2 Quote

As for lowering the prices... this has been discussed for someone of her caliber and the higher production level for this tour compared to her other recent ones, its a suitable price (not including resales and platinum tickets). Most places through the actual official tickets you can get floor for $200-350 Quote

I don't believe she has that many new "casual" fans. People say Celine's prices are expensive, but they're actually a fraction of the cost of any other artist of her caliber except for the first few rows. This is why. Exactly. Celine doesn’t give the hardcore fans any incentive to attend multiple shows. Some artists are always changing up shows for that reason, always changing up songs... to urge fans to go back and see how a show evolved. I mean it’s even a slap in the face to the causal fan who saw her final Vegas shows for the first time and loved it and decided to see her on tour in their city because of that, only to get almost the same exact show. Cause when i sent the message, a exclamation point appeared.... then 5 minutes later the conversation just completely disappeared. I had written a lonnnng message and there is no way i can retrieve it. In my mind surely a musical director should be saying things like "You're The Voice worked for our Australia tour and that special moment on stage with John but now it's time to let it go." Also "Me and the band have been working on incredible arrangements for Change My Mind and Say Yes if you'd like to hear them" The set lists are obviously discussed before each and every show and Celine will obviously have the final say but it would be so good to know if ANYBODY is suggesting to her the things that we are such as less covers and more songs from Courage. We can't be the ONLY people to see the problem can we? Actually, Scott said (I don’t remember where) that they weren’t supposed to do “You’re the Voice” in Las Vegas and he thought it was going to be just in Australia. However, they had to add it last minute because Céline really wanted to do it. So, let’s not blame Scott. Edited November 20, 2019 at 05:06 PM by Céline RO 2 Quote The best is yet to come...
Ajax Posted November 20, 2019 at 05:08 PM Posted November 20, 2019 at 05:08 PM She and her team are certainly not gonna move one single thing with results like that. CelineTheBest5 Posted November 20, 2019 at 05:12 PM Posted November 20, 2019 at 05:12 PM It was said that 2 concerts in Ottawa was too much, the city is not that big and there were concerts in Quebec City and Montreal, it was over demand, but 89% is not bad that way. CSCfan Posted November 20, 2019 at 05:13 PM Posted November 20, 2019 at 05:13 PM Seriously... if we want to be taken seriously, we need to write 1 "Letter from the fans", where we express our desire to hear more new songs on the tour. And then have every (big) fan social media account post it (and tag TC / her squad). They're bound to take notice. If they won't do anything, we at least tried and and they don't take us seriously. If they do.... then we made a difference by uniting and the power of social media. 4 Quote »»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»» MATHIAS ««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzPrxI0AIDY

Shaun Posted November 20, 2019 at 05:24 PM Posted November 20, 2019 at 05:24 PM I remembered something I read in My Story, My Dream years ago and think this excerpt is worth writing about here: "For several hours before the curtain, we all felt we were part of something that was out of control. The machine was too enormous. The day before, René had gotten everybody together in a room at the Fleet Center, and told us "At this time, thirty two hours before the premiere, we have no show. We have the plan for a show, we have a dream about a show, a show under construction, as big as the Empire State Buidling. But we haven't gone beyond the seventh floor. My eyes met Mego's for a moment, and we were thinking the same thing. We'd heard that sentence "we have no show" before. It was in Vancouver, the evening of a premiere. We weren't well prepared. We arrived in Vancouver the evening of the show with a wicked case of stage fright. The show got off to a bad start. The musicians played well, but we were never really together. Between songs, I tried to speak to the audience, but nothing I said either moved them or made them laugh. René never reads me any reviews (except when they're good) but the next day I wanted to know. What I read certainly hadn't been written by a visual person or a music lover. There was nothing about missed cues, lighting, or mistakes. The guy was interested solely in the song lyrics, which he brought down in flames. Actually he could've written the review without seeing the show. "Exactly," René told us, "there wasn't any show. That was our mistake. We weren't prepared. It's my fault. If the show had been good, he probably wouldn't have written that. He wold have talked about the show, not the song lyrics. But how could he talk about the show if there wasn't one. There was that line again - "we have no show" - and now it was starting all over again at the Fleet Center in Boston." A bit of thought and preparation go a long way. Responding to feedback is key. As is having someone around to tell her, and the team, that it's not working or missing. Who suggests improvements? Who provides solutions to problems? Who tells them when something is working really well? Who controls the whole machine? Someone mentioned Robot Céline. She used to hate that robot...... 2 Quote Bringing you the world's only Celine Dion podcast show since 2014.Find us on Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts, Spotify & Amazon Music.

Its a cool idea, but I don't think its as simple as just 'adding songs' to the setlist. They need rehearsals and rearranging of the whole set in general. So even if these songs were presented to the team, it would require time from not only Celine, but the Band etc for rehearsals. It would take some time for them to get added in. Plenty of artists and their bands improvise random songs in their shows ALL the time. Adding a new Celine song to the repertoire should have been required background knowledge for them already. 3 Quote

Exactly, if Celine gave Scott and the band a new song everyday or (even once a week) a couple hours before the show, there’s no reason they couldn’t and shouldn’t be able to perfect it during the hours of available time in the venue for a sound check (usually they have access from the morning). It would be as simple as saying here’s the sheet music y’all, rehearse it a few times and then Celine will come and practice it a few times before the doors open; and there it is! If they are all professionals this shouldn’t be a problem, the biggest problem ( but still doable) would be the visuals of the stage, unless they kept the same one for each change. 1 Quote

At the end it looks that this Tour will be more successfull than Taking chances too. So... And I read here people saying strongly that her Tour promoter are incompetent, there should have been one night only it was way too much.People, we're talking about 2 nights at 90%, is it really shameful, and that worst than one night at 100 % ?
