that went to see him. Anyway, 4 more days to her return, really wish she is doing better.

yes, they’ve been using it since 2013 for LMBTL. Not a big fan of it to be honest, but I think it looks good on the courage album cover. However, on the single cover for Recovering it looks totally horrible

I check the tickets multiple times daily and it appeared today they released quite a few up close.

Yea the FOMO handling is a bit odd. If it where LCMM we were talking about it would be a different matter.

 

But in my mind that whole "Mega Medley" is odd. So many covers, taking so much time each. LD and AOBTD both takes too long and adds nothing to the show. LM would had been "ok" in 2002 after the Moulain Rouge hysteria, but even then it would be seen as too copy cat, but now it's just "eh why?". Kiss is ok, but hardly mandontory after all this time.

Right now the medley seems to be the perfect bathroom break IMO. And when she treats it as the finale going "Merci Bonsoir" those lines seems even less credible than in her usual "endings" (before MHWGO).

 

I am still not fond of You're The Voice getting so much "air time". Sure it has a very nice and important message, and the intro music have they done very fine (but all the cringy bass treatment later on though...). That song would had fit very fine squeezed into a medley.

 

The Megamedley is extremely odd, especially considering that hit songs like ANDHC, TTWII, Ashes, or even LMBTL didn’t make the cut.

Well back in 2017 she only did 1 show in Glasgow and shows in Leeds instead of Manchester and the Manchester Arena is way bigger than the First Direct Arena. Now she’s also going to Ireland so people won’t travel from there to London anymore probably.

I’m curious as to what the “real” courage tour - meaning the full English show - is going to be. And will we even know that in the shows she does before the album is out? I love love LOVE You’re The Voice and was so happy to get to experience it live twice - London and Quebec. But if it’s not going to be a track on the album, I don’t understand the point of keeping it in the show. I was assuming she’d recorded a studio version of it and that’s why she continued to do it - which would make sense.

 

With a 16 track album, I’m going to be disappointed if she only does 4 or 5 new songs. (I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m still going to have an amazing time at the concert. I always do when Celine is just RIGHT THERE in front of me. I go bonkers and lose my mind. My husband says he has a better time watching me watch the show than the actual show.) I’m seeing the show in Cincinnati and am going to stay off this board as soon as the Ottawa shows begin next week so that I can be unspoiled for that concert. For that show, I’m expecting maybe 3 or 4 songs - the 4 that have already been released. Maybe another song to gauge reaction. But once the album is out, I’m hoping for at least 8-9 songs from it.

 

I know that Taking Chances also had 16 tracks and her main set list only had 6 songs it it. (Although, she did a few one off’s of other songs in certain countries.) But, come ‘on, Celine. You’ve got your first new album in 6 years and you couldn’t do a tour for the last one. Let’s let the Courage tour be about the Courage album!

I've always been amazed at how she builds her tours dedicated to a certain album with the majority of the songs songs not from that album.... and the new album is having it's presence by some kind of mercy...

 

The logical way would do to build the tour with the majoraty of songs from the album it's supposed to promote and then add up with old hits.

 

And please people don't come with the "but she has so many greatest hits so that's why". If that were the case she'd have more original material in the shows and skip the fillout covers.

 

It seems as if she treats her latest albums as if she doesn't really liking them. That she's forced to promote it and rather sing anything else.... wonder why though, especially now that she's been picking and choosing so much for the Courage album. Hope this time will be different.... but it doesn't seem to be thus far.

Because she somehow feels obliged to always do those same songs because her audience come to hear these songs. but yes with such a big album full of new songs the tour should have at least 6 or 7 new tracks!

Not sure if anyone has brought this up yet. I just went through the opening night set list. There are 10 French songs that will be replaced with English ones. Since TPOL, IACBTMN, IA, BATB, ABM, and MHWGO are already there all she really has to add is BYLM. But let’s say she adds

 

1) BYLM - because major hit

2) TTWII - because hit and it’s uptempo and she’s been doing it lately

3) TYLM - because they recorded a new lip track and it’ll give her a song off

 

That leaves 7 more songs and since she’s already doing covers in a giant medley at the end....she could add 5 songs from Courage and be doing 8 from the new album. (FOMO is a part of the medley.) And that leaves 2 spots for those rare songs that she mentioned wanting to perform. SLS? WFTM? NBBMH? Although, the closer after MHWGO will probably be a well-known cover. I’d be happy for her to keep Imagine from BST. It’s a great closing number for her.

She could close with “Perfect Goodbye” but only if it’s a soft ballad. It would make sense as it’s probably the perfect goodbye song.

Other good options IMO would be “Immortality” or “Ce n’était qu’un rêve” (although that one should have been for the French shows).

I really hope that they revamt the tracklist to a great extent. The current one was very disappointing. And the start with IACBTMN after this intro video was just so unsuitable. It seems like a real mess right now. And they had years to plan the show. What were these people doing all that time? I just don’t get it, cause it obviously looks like a extremely rushed job

10 years ago the whole US tour was sold out while the european leg was so-so and now that's the other way around.

 

Impossible to get a front row ticket 1 min after tickets were released to sales over here but still front rows tickets available for shows next week in the US lol

I am nowhere near as big a fan of Kelly Clarkson as I am Celine but I do follow Kelly. When Kelly has a new album and is doing a tour for that album, she sings at least 8 of the songs of it. For Piece by Piece, she even sang one of the bonus tracks (which is one of my faves so I was shocked/thrilled by that.) I didn’t attend her last tour but I watched it on YouTube and she apologized to the audience, saying she was very proud of her latest album and she wanted to sing a lot from it. She knew people also wanted to hear all of her hits and she said there was no way she could do them all but that hopefully, she would do one or two of your favorites. She also did a big medley like Celine except Kelly’s was comprised of shortened down versions of a lot of her hit songs.

 

Kelly also sings everything live - if she can no longer hit a note, she just doesn’t hit it, she sings a different note. I’ve never thought “Oh my God, she didn’t hit that giant note like she does on the recording.”

 

Kelly also does one new song (albeit, a cover) on every stop of her tour so that the audience will have at least one song special for their night because she knows that once she does her first show, it’s all over YouTube and the fans know what to expect.

 

Celine and her team could do well by adopting some of Kelly’s strategies, imo.

Ticket sales are so manipulative.

 

I really like the way cleveland did their tickets. It's a little strange you have to download their app, but all their tickets are sold at face value. No platinum scam that ticketmaster did. I got front row for 219 after fees, grand total. Their fees are less than ticketmaster and their resale marketplace is thru them too. I am shocked at how much better this is than ticketmaster.

 

Ticketmaster has a habit of holding seats hostage at insane prices until shortly before the show.
