Alice Posted October 9, 2019 at 01:44 PM Posted October 9, 2019 at 01:44 PM She does still have space (although it would make her agenda even crazier). She will probably reschedule shows for dates that are supposed to be her “days off” such as the April 28 - May 20 period or the July 5 - July 15 period or the August 6 - August 21 period. It wouldn’t be ideal but definitely better than cancelling. Well, that'd mean even less time to really rest (not just recover), so even more strain etc etc. It's a vicious cycle. 2 Quote

cdfan32 Posted October 9, 2019 at 03:26 PM Posted October 9, 2019 at 03:26 PM I guess that's why this Tour named Courage... people are risking their hard earned money like they never did before It's this exactly. Her team (and herself for agreeing) are way too greedy with the pace of this schedule. Those places will still be there in 3 years instead of 2. Booking this far into advance, with no room for rescheduling or real rest, and with her actual history of less than 24 hour cancellations (one of the most disrespectful things an artist can ever do to their fans who aren't made of money like she is), there's no way I'll be willing to risk buying tickets or traveling for any of the dates on her tour again and losing more time and money for no reason, again. It's not just Celine who's suffering from this issue, unfortunately. Many touring companies appear to be trying their best to kill their artists by milking them for everything they can. 4 Quote

What about Celine the human being?this tour is called a world tour, so she has to include more parts of the world than north america, europe and middle east. But after europe she can rest as long as she wants, before going to asia, australia, south africa and south america, where she should go with this tour as well. But no need for not enough rest between shows. She can and should rest as much as she wants and needs between legs and shows...This tour can take as long as Celine wants, it hasn't to be finished at a specific time, date or year. 5 Quote

I have the feeling that this will be her last massive world tour like this. Which may be why she’s agreeing to such a demanding schedule. I foresee her taking a big break after the tour and then pulling a Streisand where she only does a 20 show tour hitting only major cities. Or she goes back to Vegas for a 3rd residency with far fewer shows per year. 9 Quote
No1IrishFan Posted October 9, 2019 at 04:26 PM Posted October 9, 2019 at 04:26 PM I’ve stayed largely quiet on the topic of the tour size and how her voice will be at the end, but I have faith in Celine. She’s in the business long enough to know her limits. She’s agreeing to the extra gigs. If she felt she may not see them through, she wouldn’t agree. And I’m guessing she has some of the worlds best doctors/vocal experts advising her too. They’ve continued to add gigs even after her sickness last week. If that didn’t concern her and stop the tour getting bigger, I’m not worried. 6 Quote

Popular Post stevo Posted October 9, 2019 at 05:50 PM Popular Post Posted October 9, 2019 at 05:50 PM Céline Dion is a business. They will not lower prices when people in their hundreds of thousands buy the tickets at those high prices (me included). The days of £65 for any seat are gone. We also must remember that she will have plenty of days in between shows, much more than in previous tours. She does this and has been doing this forever- she can do this tour just as easy as any other. Prancing about one stage and singing and miming and getting paid exorbitant amounts- we shouldn’t be all ‘oh those big nasty promoters making Celine extra dates...’- she is extremely pampered, extremely well supported and looked after and doctors, physios, masseurs, Pepe all there to rub her sore feet at the end of the show. Also- other artists do huge tours- other artists have to cancel shows when they get sick. Other artists have children. Céline is very fortunate and has worked hard on her image and generally worked hard to create a fan base that still wants to see her. We should be proud. Yes, the tour of what we’ve seen (IMO) could be improved- setlist wise especially. But the tickets are going. And she will keep singing. Thank you, goodnight. 13 Quote

Lol I remember when she got sick people on this forum blamed it on either too much rehearsals and/or a though week doing interviews prior to the show. So, it doesn't appear to me as someone who knows how to protect herself haha. And it doesn't take into account the promo she will do (if she will) for the album. Céline always gets sick on the long run ( not blaming her, just stating ) , she even got sick on her european promo tour of Taking Chances ( and it was all lipped :-) ). I think it will be a difficult tour for her. 3 Quote

In 2008 who would have thought that 11 years later Céline would be doing what will likely become her biggest tour ever and have more energy than ever? Moreover, the fact that the demand for her live performances seems to be constantly increasing means that she will probably be forced to do a massive tour again. She’s probably/hopefully got multiple decades of performing left in which it would be ridiculous to slow things down that much. The best is yet to come... 1 Quote The best is yet to come...

However, it could also be in “Piața Constituției” which is a huge square in front of the iconic Palace of Parliament and very popular for major concerts. I saw Lady Gaga and Robbie Williams there. I have no idea how other artists handling this situation. It's interesting though. No one says she does that on purpose, but I believe thingscan always be handled better and not to wait for the last moment. I keep thinking she keeps getting the worst advices everand we can see it now, with this unwise way of handling her Tour. She is not alone in this and greedy people surroundingher everywhere she goes. So, they will have the big bucks as always but the question is what will be the mental/health price Celine will have to pay for and how many more fans will get hurt by cancelling shows as she gets deep into the Tour's dates, while some of theseunpleasant situations for sure can be avoided in advance. 1 Quote "Needed in the chaos and confusion, from the plains to City HallNeeded where the proud who walk the wire are set to fall"
