Did Celine and Rene lived together before getting married, I mean between 1988 and 1993-4, did they shared a house? I bet it was hard keeping a low key living situation in MTL...Where did they live after getting Married? The Jupiter island house wasn't finished until 97-98

That home wasn't on Jupiter Island. It was in the town of Jupiter (mainland) in Admiral's Cove.

 

They had a home in WPB prior to that when they first got married. It was in a country club also backed out onto a golf course.

Some of you wrote that Celine's photo in Wikipedia is horrible, and I agree :)

But to change the photo, author of the photo must upload it in Wikimedia Commons:

No, they didn't live together as René was worried that it would hurt Célines carreer.

Didn't she say is MSMD that they had bought a house together, in Canada, from René's friend, that they moved into together, I think in 92/93. And she also made reference to them settling in together when they first moved to Mailbu, saying something like she enjoyed pretending to be a wife for him and living intimately with him, and nobody knew them yet, so they never hid that they were together.

Yep you are right. In the book she does say this. So I think they were indeed living together before they got married.

And they also lived together in LA, while she was recording an album.

Uh huh but Malibu was 1988, so that's years before that. My guess is that they probably lived together in the states from the beginning, and partially together in Canada, up until 92 time. 😊

Well if you define living together as being owning a house together etc then from what I have heard her imply and from what she says in 'My Story, My Dream' they bought houses and moved in together after they had got engaged in 1993. Obviously they would have stayed at various places together before that I guess.

See what you mean, I've always believed that it would be anywhere you move in together, and share a living space with for the majority of the time. I suppose the joining of names on a lease or deeds would be the more official start date, so it's down to her own perception of when they moved in together, which she has never really made clear. As with many things in Céline's 'open book' life, the details are sketchy, hahaha. 😊

I think I've said it before, in here, when talking about the interview she did after René's death. She's way more intelligent than anybody gives her credit, she just speaks alot, without actually revealing much, aside from stories that she has decided years before she's comfortable sharing. Master media manipulator, and THE queen of double talk, and gently drifting from issues she doesn't want to discuss, without the audience or the interviewer realising, probably until she's already on her way home. Got to love her. Haha

Exactly. Which interview was it that she said she and Rene created a clear bubble that wasn't too clear. That's not the wording they used but the gist of it and the way they let people think they are learning a lot about them/her. Regardless, she is a master at the game!

I've never put it down to celine being manipulative, or talking without revealing much. I've always thought it was because of her career, the fact that she's always been ridiculously busy, and therefore doesn't have much sense of time. It's hard enough for me sometimes to remember what day of the week it is, when work is really busy and stressful. It must be far worse with jetlag etc for decades.

Personally I'm glad there are a few things we don't know. Celine and Rene should have a few little secrets - good for them! 😁

Yes! She talks so much that you don't realize she hasn't actually answered the question! She really is brilliant at that. For the most part, I think what she shares is authentic and real. . but I also think it's done with a carefully chosen message and there are parts of her life kept very much for herself (as is her 100% right!)

I was just on iTunes and noticed the album, "A New Day Has Come," is back to being available for purchase in the U.S. Furthermore, the edition available in the U.S. is now the one with "Super Love" on it! I'm so happy the powers that be finally made that song available for purchase in the U.S.! :clap:
