I was just on iTunes and noticed the album, "A New Day Has Come," is back to being available for purchase in the U.S. Furthermore, the edition available in the U.S. is now the one with "Super Love" on it! I'm so happy the powers that be finally made that song available for purchase in the U.S.! :clap:

Hey guys, i would like to ask if anyone of you have a picture of Celine showing her LV sign to Rene. Not necessarily in HQ, which would be great though, but simply in a good quality. Perhaps from ATW Special or from elsewhere. Merci :)

Exactly. Which interview was it that she said she and Rene created a clear bubble that wasn't too clear. That's not the wording they used but the gist of it and the way they let people think they are learning a lot about them/her. Regardless, she is a master at the game!

 

I'm not sure that I remember that interview, I'm going mainly from what I've observed over the years, she's seriously impressive the way she does it. In my opinion, she was better than René at it because she uses this disarming charm that she has, and René was pretty good at moulding the public perception of them as a couple and individuals. As she said herself, she is her own paparazzi. 😊

I wonder why now? It is how you write her name, but why almost 30 years later do i the correct way?

 

I just noticed that they put an accent aigu (é) on Céline's neame on her official Facebook page! Is it new? Because I didn't notice it before. :)

As long as they don't rerelease all her albums that used the classic logo with this new accent added... :giggle: :innocent:

In fact her old logo doesn't need the accent. It has already been there, in a way, depending on how you look at it. I believe that upper curve of the "C" falls down to the "e" and creates the accent aigu. So the intention of the designer (whoever he was) was to make an ambiguous graphic solution so that it can satisfy both francophone and anglophone market. I don't know why they started adding the accent these days on that logo. It doesn't fit visually in my opinion.

I don't think we ever found out who is the designer behind this logo. It would be interesting to find out.

When I started to follow Céline's career I didn't see any accent on it until a friend of mine, who was Céline's fan too, told me long time ago about that possibility that the C creates an accent. I see the logo differently since then. I see the logic behind it. Although it's a completely different story if the designer really succeed with his intention because most of the people obviously don't see it.

And as an ex-student of French language and a real language purist :giggle: I'm glad they are finally introducing the accent worldwide, but as a graphic designer (that I'm also), it would be a mistake to retouch someone else's design (unless it was done by the original designer, which I highly doubt.)
