I have a question to ask,, I was just looking to buy her early material (like when is was a kid )on Amazon.com and they don't even have them for download or to buy off the website , what I'm to do now, I would Love to have her early Material , but not anymore, why is that,

 

The majority of her early albums have been discontinued and were never released on CD. You can try and find some early material by searching for "best of the early years" or similar to that

You can also find a few old songs on her "On ne change pas" and "Du soleil au cœur" compilations

Listening to the latest Las Vegas clips of MHWGO on Youtube Céline seems to be struggling with the big notes - they're very rough and forced sounding! I reckon it won't be long til she's singing some of her songs in a lower key. Not criticizing just think it's an age thing or the fact that she no longer has the vocal discipline she once. I remember thinking in the 90's/early 00's - can this woman even make a bad note?! Now she seems to be doing it quite regularly... thoughts?

I saw pics on instagram of what looked like all or most of Celine's early recordings. They even had her very first record and everything. Such an awesome opportunity that must have been for record collectors who are fans of Celine.

 

If your looking for her early records, I would suggest ebay or kijiji. I have seen Celine's old records on those sites before and that's probably your best bet, since those sites are geared more towards collectables are rarer items.

I just had to share this! After watching some old Celine and Rene interviews I was impressed by the fact that in each and every interview or press conference they are always touching each other. Holding hands. Celine was always touching him in some way. Caressing his face, touching his shoulder , hugging him. After so many years together, you just have to admire a couple and a love like that.

Yes, but that's not news today, it's been like that since 2006-2007. The days were she would surpass the recording studio versions when it came to performing the song live are almost gone. Not that I'm expecting to see another duplicate of the breathtaking Olympia concert today, but she struggles with high notes in many songs now, disguising them as if they were high notes but she's not really belting (sounds more like screaming sorry).

 

Also, singing the same songs on repeat in Vegas doesn't help She needs to find the enthusiasm and motivation in her performances somehow, and singing the same repertoire for years, I don't think that helps at all (that's why she was so gorgeous during the summer tour, of course).

You're right was just really shocked by how bad the big notes had become.

 

completely agree. The summer tour was a breath of fresh air! You can only imagine on the last night of the current set of shows she'd be like - thank God that's over.

 

Not quite the same but to prove a point. I have a few songs I'm really good at and my friends ask me to sing them all the time at Karaoke. I sing them and enjoy it every time but when I sing something new or unrehearsed to a crowd it's such an amazing uplifting feeling like an achievement.. Surely it's the same with Céline!

I'd so love to hear Celine and George Michael doing a duet. They both sing amazing versions of 'The first time ever I saw your face' and 'calling you'. Lol! I remember when she gave Oprah a tour of her house back in 2003 she had a butler. As the household manager, he would be in charge of contracting out her dry cleaning and pressings. Surely most, if not all, her clothes are dry cleaned. She has staff who would take care of washing linens and the kids' clothes.

 

I think Celine would prioritize her time to spend picking tomatoes, rather than laundry!

Celine has said recently that her kid's are doing great. Celine has even enrolled the little one's in some classes so that they have hobbies. I think she said they were being enrolled in gymnastics, karate and maybe one other class. I can't really remember. Don't even quote me on those other classes. I'm pretty sure those were some of the classes Celine mentioned, but I'm not 100% sure if I got them correct or not?

 

It seems to me though that the kids are doing fine. We have to remember that Rene wasn't fully involved in the twins lives for the last 3 years of his life. Celine said that Nelson and Eddy didn't see Rene alot in the last few years, because he was so sick and couldn't risk catching anything with his weak immune system and him being so weak.

 

Celine has had to be, both Mom and Dad for the past 3 years, so even though something very sad has happened, it probably seems pretty normal to the twins. Kid's only know what's normal to them.

 

This is all they've known since they were 3 or so. I'm not saying it hasn't effected them, but half the battle is being open and honest, sharing feelings, talking about there Dad often to keep his memory alive and carrying on as normal a life as possible, which Celine seems to be doing all those things wonderfully.

 

Celine is a great Mother, I'm so proud at how she's handling all of this and how she handles her difficult roads in life with a positive attitude, dignity and grace. I think that, as long as they have Celine as there Mother and role model growing up, they will be just fine.

 

 

 

Edit: I just realized that you might have been referring to Rene's 3 older children, Patrick, Jean-Pierre and Anne-Marie. If so, I also wonder how they are coping aswell. It must be very hard for them to lose there Dad at such young ages. I know they are all adults, but most people don't expect to lose there parents until they are older.

 

Atleast they had a few years to process everything before it happened and had time to cherish precious family moments, knowing how precious and short there time with there father was going to be. Alot of families don't get that opportunity to spend those last few years, months or even minutes with there loved ones before they pass on.

His kids are not that young, and Rene was also not that young anymore. Off course all of this is very sad, especially for Celine and the younger kids. But I don't think it's too dramatic for his other kids, it's life....

I don't know how to post a link, but you can find it under #celinedion very easily. It's one of the newer pictures on instagram when you look under #celinedion.

 

It shows a new pic of Celine holding a doll and she and the doll are both wearing Celine's silver dress that is currently featured in her Vegas show. The replica of the dress and the overall look of the doll looks to be done very well, especially the dress.

 

It says that it was created by magia2000. I don't know what that means, or even if it's a legit Celine barbie that is going to be sold in stores or online. I hope it's going to be available to the public, because I would so buy this in a heartbeat.

I finally got a good look at the new Celine doll and I have to say that the lips and smile are all sorts of wrong. Other then that, the doll is pretty nice. I especially like the dress. The creator/designer of the doll did a really good job replicating the original dress.

 

The creator of this doll is magia2000. Does anyone know if there will be a way to purchase this doll in the near future, or ever?

I know the smile area is kind of ugly, but I would still buy this doll in a heartbeat, just for that dress alone. I actually already have a Celine barbie that I created a long time ago. I would put that silver dress on my barbie, because my doll looks more like Celine in my opinion.

It would be a GREAT career move for Celine to make an appearance on SNL.

 

Musical guests sing 2 songs and sometimes appear in a sketch and one of the pre-taped video segments.

 

SNL is off to a great start this season! The premiere was hilarious.

 

It would be refreshing for the general public to see Celine be funny and lighthearted. They could even bring back Ana Gastayer to do a sketch with Celine.

Based on what they've written about their other celebrity dolls, IMO the Celine doll is one of a kind and was given to Celine to keep. Their website has not been updated to include her. To sell it, they would have to get licensing permission to use Celine's image and name (which I highly doubt Aldo would grant). However, you could email them and ask if they would make one just for you! The worst they could say is no...
