While the French lyrics are beautiful... I love the English lyrics..... The words are so touching .... Just love it

On the Vogue quiz This or That, this is the first time I notice that Céline uses both capital and small letters in the same word. She even writes the same letter differently from word to word, like ''R'', ''F'' ou ''G''. Otherwise, it was less evident in the other glimpses of her handwriting I have seen (Encore un soir video, Goodbye's the saddest word video, For keeps letter, A new day All Access, ...).

On the Vogue quiz This or That, this is the first time I notice that Céline uses both capital and small letters in the same word. She even writes the same letter differently from word to word, like ''R'', ''F'' ou ''G''. Otherwise, it was less evident in the other glimpses of her handwriting I have seen (Encore un soir video, Goodbye's the saddest word video, For keeps letter, A new day All Access, ...).

 

I've rarely seen her write like that, honestly. The other example that came to my mind was the Spanish lyrics sheet for Have You Ever Been In Love, where she worked phonetically on the words (and now I know for sure it is her who added the handwritten notes :blush: ) ^_^

 

I would like to know the reason of these 2 different handwritings of her, though.

I write like that and I'm not sure why. I do notice I'm in more of a hurry when that happens so maybe she just was filling it out quickly. *shrugshoulders*

I'm new here and when I compare myself to some of you well...not sure I have the right to call myself a fan.

But still there is one thing that kind of bothers me (I know, I will get hit in the face with a shovel for posting that. Thank you.)

and it's the fact that a lot of people on this forum has criticized her (and when I say her, I mean

her decisions because we all know that she is much more implied in the creative process now)

 

I thought that more people here would be celebrating that new beginning in her career.

In the press conference at one point she says : I won't change my outfit. It will be the same during the whole show and I'm going to assume it.

I was like : Cool, she is assuming her own decisions (knowing that René was the one that was making the decision most of the time when he was still here.

I don't know if anyone has brought this up on the forum or not, but RC got a new haircut.

 

I saw a short video of RC showing off his new short hair on instagram. There is also another picture of his hair from behind. It looks like he went swimming in the lake in Montreal, because he was in water, with swim shorts and no shirt.

 

I have to say that I love his old hairstyle and I never wanted him to change it because I thought it was perfection, but I do like his new hairstyle. It's nice.

 

I don't know how to post pics from instagram, but if anyone could find some good pics of RC's new haircut and could post it to the forum I would appreciate it. :)

When I first saw this I thought it was fake, because I didn't recognize her handwriting. But then I noticed her 'C' and her 'I' are very unique.

Also, I didn't expect some of the answers there, either. :giggle:

It strikes me as really weird (like, awesome weird) that she has two sets of handwriting... from an intellectual perspective i think it's just so interesting that she divides her mind like that on a routine basis haha. I don't know anyone that does that!

So Impressive, and it's not the end, ad a new world tour in few years with maybe 300/400 millions $, she could reach easily 2 billions a the end of her career.

Nope, besides, this does not include her concert tours in 1983 in Canada, the first Parts of Patrick sébastien in France in 1984 and even when she was opening Michael Bolton's U.S. tours in 1992 and 1994

 

The perfume line itself is not included in these figures was launched in 2003 and I think by the end of last decade it was announced that the total gross of the perfume line was exceeeding 850 Million USD

 

The figures do not include Merchandising, owned companies or records sales!

 

Only basic tickets sales

Everyone has two sets of handwriting. Cursive and regular print always look different from one another.

I think I remember reading once that Celine's merchandise has brought in $2 billion dollars and that's not even including her albums sold since the beginning of her career.

 

I'm not an expert on figures, but I don't care what Forbes says Celine's total earning are. I think they are wrong. Celine must be in the 1 - 2 billion dollar range with this evidence of earnings.

Bizarre how many media outlets are picking up the heartbeat tattoo story... and late, too! (That mini-interview where she mentions it came out over a week ago.)

Much more being written about this than about her return home, which I find odd seeing as it was kind of an off-hand comment.

 

Well it's like for the "Celine would like to adopt a girl"... duh... one line in a whole interview amd not the main subject.

But you know press sells on titles. So they need appealing even not true or not representative of a wole interview... 😞😤

Those are the sales of her albums though, and the sales of her concert tickets. That money doesn't exactly all go to her and represent her wealth. She only gets a cut of those figures, or she signs contracts for a specific amount.
